Look What You Made Me Do

Rate this book
At only seventeen, Taylor Mosley was the sole survivor of a brutal mass murder. She lived through “that night” and killed the madman who slaughtered her friends, but twenty years later, she still struggles to function in her modern corporate workplace.

Taylor is convinced the killer from her past is back and stalking her through her suburban neighborhood. Someone is sending her threatening texts, vandalizing her home, and following her on her daily runs. Is it her strange and aggressive therapist, her toxic ex-boyfriend, or the murderer from her youth? She manages to get free of her ex, only for the police to become more interested in what she’s done than who is still after her. As the threats of her present day collude with the nightmare of her past, she struggles to understand what is real, what is memory, and what is hallucination.

Maybe someday she can enjoy her idea life, but for now, Taylor must evade the police, unmask her tormentor, juggle her romantic relationships, find a healthy work-life balance, quench her thirst for revenge, and make a stand for women everywhere while still finding time to relax and enjoy a nice merlot.

“Well, let me start by saying not all memories are fond. Sure, the bs ones are. The ones you use like paint to gloss over all the not-so-nostalgic experiences of your youth?“

This book was an absolute trip down MindTrip Lane. Like a fever dream, vivid imagery and an underlying sense of hysteria that grows and grows as you read on. This author skillfully puts you right into the mind of a young woman who survived the massacre of all of her friends as a teenager. Now, as a young adult, one thing after another goes wrong and things start looking like the famed masked killer from years ago is back with a vengeance. I couldn’t wait to keep reading this book every free moment I had. I really enjoyed the main character. She’s a trip, too 🤣 Seriously, this had jump-scares, this had terror, this had a never-ending cycle of chaos that leads you to an ending you won’t see coming. Absolutely enjoyable read!

I entering this kind of light and I wanted to have a better chance of giving my true feelings of this book. The author gave this to my son to give to me and I’m grateful for that. I enjoyed the book. I really enjoyed the little twist at the end, I tell the author allowed you to feel the protagonist feelings in this book and her emotions. I had a pretty good feeling that she was the culprit. Which she was but still the twist at the end made it all very entertaining my first slasher book I’ve read I enjoyed it. Thank you Joe.

The writing was so different than what I’m use to so it left me slightly confused. I had to set and ponder on the ending for awhile after finishing the book. I did receive a physical copy of this book so I’ll definitely be giving it a reread at some point. This book was one that kept the pages turning and made you want to find out what was really happening. I feel like with each read of this book you’re bound to come away with a new understanding of it.

I bought this book while wandering the mall with my kids, the author had a setup so I got the chance to chat about his writings for a few. I did not know of his books before. I finally got around to reading the book, I normally read on my kindle app. Anyway, I loved how the book was written, I caught on rather early of the storyline. I still enjoyed it though. Very psychological, kept my attention. I just added bad brains to my kindle, I was going to buy that book at first.

Wow, that was a good book

So without spoiling the book;

Taylor had a near death experience during high school. Her friends were all murdered.

She began have “nightmares” she coped the constant fear with alcohol and struggled with work etc.

She was in therapy, but was still drinking excessively.

Some twists and turns happened; she begins her fearful terrors again.

Plot twist ….

Must read

This story was really good, well put together, and a very wild ride. It took me a couple of tries to get into it because it was written in a very different style than I am used to but after getting used to the writing style, I could not put this book down. It is a wild ride from beginning to end if you are looking for something different, I highly recommend this book.

Let me start by saying that the way this story is told is very unique and kind of relatable. It dives into how our own psyche can be warped, not only by ourselves, but by the hands of others. How not everything we remember is what really happened.
As much as I enjoyed this book, I kind of hated the ending. Just the last bit, so much of this book was hands down amazing! The details. The brutality. The whole situation, in general. It was vividly thought out. Think "I Spit on Your Grave" without the major rape scene - although it does happen. That is the ONLY spoiler I will give you.

This book left me completely amazed.

Its writing was fantastic... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 100%
The way it's written makes you feel the emotions of the book, such as revenge, sadness, and rage. It's an excellent book, and the protagonist is written very well.

The book tells the story of Taylor, a young survivor of a brutal mass murder, who is faced with numerous struggles such as hallucinations and an abusive boyfriend that makes her life a living nightmare. The title of the book perfectly captures the essence of the story. Taylor is a remarkable protagonist, and the antagonists (that you will hate🔪) are so well-written that they evoked intense hatred and resentment from me. Taylor has lost all her friends and is left with only her pug and a beautiful yet costly car (Ruby) to navigate through the challenges of life. It is a psychological slasher horror story that promises to keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. The author, Prosit, has done an excellent job portraying the characters' high school selves, adding depth to the plot. The horrors that Taylor and her friends endured have been written with great clarity, making it easy for readers to fully immerse themselves in the story. In short, if you're a fan of thrillers, this book is a must-read that will leave you thrilled and satisfied.

The book is truly a masterpiece, with impeccable writing and emotions that hit me like a ton of bricks!!! The author's ability to convey Taylor's rage and anger is so vivid that it feels as though I am experiencing it firsthand.
So many emotions, and it will leave you awestruck and eyes wide. I was completely caught off guard by this piece of writing. It was not what I was expecting at all, but it turned out to be better than my expectations and a true masterpiece. The author's use of language and storytelling was simply captivating and left me wanting more. I found myself lost in the world they created, captivated by the characters and their stories. As soon as I finished reading it, I knew I had to find more work by this talented author. The way he crafted the story was superb, and I am eager to see what other literary gems he has in store. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a captivating read that will transport them to another world and leave them feeling fully satisfied. You won't be disappointed. I promise you'll love it!
I wrote too much, but all of this is true. It's a complete 5/5 stars. This book took me four days to finish, and I guarantee that you'll put the book down for a second to realize what you have just read - a masterpiece filled with horror that could give you nightmares. It's a must-read.

Thanks to the author for providing a copy! I loved it as you can see!! (•‿•)
