What I’m Starry-Eyed Over: 🤩 By holiday I mean Halloween through . . . Easter—I love the timeline through these fall/winter holidays and festive times. 🤩 We had parent-teacher conferences last week which means extra long days for me. This binge read reward on Thursday night was exactly what I needed—the perfect escape. 🤩 I love the set-up situation for this single dad and nanny. Yeah, they’ve been hooking up all summer, no strings attached. They are hot! And now forbidden! 🤩 Forced proximity—the sexual tension in this spicy novella is through the roof! 🤩 Playful Wells and sassy, spicy Vienna—I love them. The banter between them is so captivating, fun, and funny! 🤩 All the feels—when the amazing writing gives me simultaneous tears in my eyes and tingles in my belly. 🤩 I hope this isn’t too much of a spoiler but it has to be mentioned—when he wears the off-limits shirt and they need a minute alone, in the laundry room. 🤩 How did you know I needed another scene in the storage room of Love Beach Brews? 🤩 Haven is perrrrrrfection! I love cute kids in my books. Especially when they come with single parents. I got chills when she said, “My Christmas wish came true!” 🤩 Amazing friends and family with great advice: “Yeah, because single dads never hook up with the nanny.” “People sleep with their boss all the time.” 😂 🤩 Text chat fun, fabulous as usual.
What I’m Wishing/Dizzy About: 💫 Take me to Book & Barrel, please! 💫 The little glimpse of Jace is just right—I totally need his story. Yeah, it was the end of conference week, and I’m not sure what some of my ebook notes mean: Single dad and the ponytail fix of support. 🙈
[Holiday vibes novella perfection. So bingeable and amazing! Full review coming very soon.]
This is a great holiday novella. It has a complete story and did not feel rushed to me like some novellas do. So if you love a single dad whose whole world is his little girl, or a fling that turns into more, or a little forced proximity story, or how about a nanny and the boss then this is definitely a story for you to read. I love Wells’s love for his daughter and the way Vienna falls for her too is so sweet. The tension and connection between these two is undeniable. I was so happy to see the happy ever after they got. And the Greene family texts are always an extra bonus.
I love the banter, the love for Hazen, and the chemistry between the characters in this book. The supporting characters are just as great as the main characters. It was a fun read and I love this little town.
A single dad for Christmas novella. A summer fling turns into setting down roots and earning money to open a flower shop. Wells and Viennas story is packed with so much humor, banter and spice. Wells needs a nanny and Vienna needs money to open her flower shop, but lines are crossed and these two once summer flings, can’t deny their attraction and feelings. I devoured this book!
Favorites from the book: "Yeah, because single dads never hook up with the nanny."
"Take a minute to get yourself together, Wells. It looks like you just had your 🍆 sucked."
“The woman is a goddamn menace and I think I'm in love.”
"Do you know how hard you make it not to kiss you all the time? You're playing a dangerous game, Siren."
Vienna Greene's story has finally arrived and I love the happy ending Alexandra Hale gave her. Once again Ms. Hale packs a punch of a story in novella size. Wells, Haven, and Vienna are a picture perfect family.
After carrying on a casual affair over the summer the last thing Vienna expected was for Wells to end up in her town and be working at the same place as her while also needing a nanny for the child he never mentioned. She vows to keep it strictly professional but we all know how the nanny & single dad trope goes.
I have to give it to both Wells and Vienna though...they try really hard to stay professional but the attraction is just too dang strong between them. Add in the fact that Vienna is a natural with Haven and treats her like she is her own. How could Wells not fall in love with her. Everything between them takes zero effort, they are made for each other.
I'm a sucker for a single dad romance and Alexandra killed it yet again! I loved everything about Wells and Vienna's story and how Vienna treated Haven like her own. If you are looking for a holiday novella to start off the season, this is a must read!

Another fun, fast read by Alexandra Hale. • Single Dad • Summer Fling • No Strings Attached • Holiday Novella
What started as a summer thing between our single dad and Vienna, in one of this reader’s favorite towns, Love Beach becomes more as Vienna needs a job, and Well needs a nanny. Vienna has decided to put down roots, her dream is her own floral shop. She needs money, and being a nanny pays the bills. But the chemistry between Wells and Vienna cannot be denied.
I loved the quick paced read, the fun and laughs, the characters, and plenty of chemistry. A great afternoon read.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
Vienna Greene met the older man, Wells Reiser, the first weekend of her arrival in Love Beach. They agreed to a no-strings-attached summer fling. But now summer is coming to an end, as is their affair. They weren’t supposed to be so hot for one another. They certainly weren't supposed to get so attached to one another.
She'd come to Love Beach to help Reece, her best friend, plan the anniversary party for her friend's parents. When Reese rekindled a romance with her former boyfriend, she decided to stay. Vienna has even adopted Reese's younger brother, Jace, as her brother. Since she loved it there, instead of returning to her teaching job in North Carolina, she also moved here. She has plans to start a business, The Greene House, her dream floral shop. Now she can put her love of flowers to good use and bring flowers into the lives of others.
Wells can't, or won't, stay, and she knows she's not good at long distance relationships. But she is claiming his shirt that she loves the most before he leaves. It doesn't matter that it's also his favorite. It was the shirt he was wearing the night they met. To him, it's his lucky shirt.
Until she gets enough money to open her shop, she's working at Love Beach Brews. It's owned by Isaac Nowak who's engaged to Reece. He's one of her favorite people in town, and she loves the kitschy, classic beach décor in his bar.
With the rush of tourism winding down, she was able to find a job working for the new brewmaster as a nanny for his seven-year-old daughter.
Wells' younger cousin, Saige, is a real estate agent in Love Beach. She'd convinced him to come for a visit before starting his new job in another town. Now that he has a job there, she found him a house. In the meantime, they're staying with her.
He had been dating Kim, who cheated on him. Nevertheless, he took her back and even married her. But afterwards, when their daughter Haven was five, she no longer wanted to be a mother and left. She now pops in and out of Haven's life, but rarely on her court-appointed dates. He never mentioned Haven to Vienna because he keeps his flings apart from her. When he found that his new job had fallen through, he never contacted Vienna. She had only learned who he was when she went into work one day. Soon as she learned who he was, she refused the nanny job. In his defense, he'd only ever seen her in another town where her sister lived.
Although it would be easier to help find someone else to be his nanny, she can't abide the knowledge that someone else would be living with him. So she sets up a time to discuss details IF she decides to take the nanny job.
I seriously can't get enough of these little books with a bang!
Vienna was having the best summer ever, thanks to the hook up with hunky Wells. No stress, no mess, no feelings. Until the summer is over., they go their separate ways. Vienna rocks up to work where she works for her bestie's boyfriend, she's offered another gig nannying for the new brewmaster who has just come on board, Vienna knows she needs the money to get her own business off the ground, so she agrees. Low and behold guess who the new brewmaster is ...yup Wells!
What we then get is Vienna navigating her way through looking after Well's daughter Haven, falling completely in love with her and doing everything in her power to keep her hands off Wells, because no way has that attraction lessened, if anything its increased. The professionalism they are both trying to hold onto is slipping, rapidly !
I adored this read, so freaking cute and hot at the same time. The banter was perfection, their attraction magnetic. You killed it Alexandra, thank you again for the ARC. I love being on this team, can't wait for more ♥️♥️♥️ of these little books with a bang!

I just could not stop reading this one! Wells and Vienna had a summer fling in Love Beach. They agreed on an end date, and went their separate ways. Wells had a new job to get to, and Vienna stayed in Love Beach. They never intended to see each other again. Well, you know what they say about best intentions. Vienna needed a second job. She was trying to save up for a down payment for the flower shop she wanted to open, and the slow season meant less tourists in town. Less people in the bar where she worked. Her boss had just hired a new brewmaster, and apparently he was a single dad. He needed a nanny for his 7 year old daughter. Vienna didn't have much experience with kids, but it sounded like it could work for her. Until she met the guy. Wells. Wells' new job had fallen through, and he ended up back in Love Beach working at the same bar/brewery where Vienna worked. What are the odds? And boy, do the sparks fly! Vienna is mad at Wells, first for coming back and not telling her. But also because he never told her he had a kid. It's not exactly the kind of thing you leave out, right? Vienna swears she's not going to work for him, but Wells is desperate and begs her. They can keep it professional. This is too important to mess up. And once she meets his daughter, Vienna is done for. And they do keep it professional. Mostly. Not to say there isn't plenty of tension and innuendo. But Vienna ends up being exactly what his daughter needs in a strong female influence, as her mother, his ex, is largely absent. But soon being so close gets to be too much to handle. Wells sees how good Vienna is with his daughter. She treats her as well as any mother would her own. And he can't deny that he's attracted to Vienna. Very attracted. The push and pull between them was perfect, and the tension was just delicious. And, of course, Wells' daughter is just adorable. A great addition to the Love Beach series!

𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 is a must-read Love Beach Holiday Novella by Alexandra Hale, featuring a spicy single dad/nanny tale that started as a summer hookup. Vienna was setting down roots in Love Beach, as she planned to open her own floral shop some day. Right now, though, she needs a nanny job to pad her bank account. She just never expected the new brewmaster in need of a nanny to be… her summer fling, Wells. Now they have to keep their hands off each other for his daughter’s sake, but that pull between just can’t be ignored. Is it just lust, or can they find lasting love this holiday season?
The chemistry between Vienna and Wells sizzled from the very beginning, so their whole dance of denying their connection was angsty, yet funny. I knew it would be super hot , when they caved again, and it definitely was!!🔥 All the characters brought tons of witty banter, comical text threads, and compelling relationships. I absolutely loved the dynamic between Vienna and Jace, as well as Wells’ response to it. I loved the sense of community and family. Little Haven was so well written, and stole the show in many ways. Her emotions definitely drove mine. I hurt for her, and I loved the way Vienna swooped in to bond with her and show her what a positive female relationship can be, besides her aunt. Wells was an amazing man who kept a tight circle, but he loved hard, once someone made the cut! If you’re looking for a short, fast-paced holiday romance with a great blend of sweet, spice, emotion, and laughs, check this novella out!

Wells and Vienna had a summertime love affair but once summer was over Wells went back home. When he needed to get a new job and moved to Love Beach he never thought he'd see Vienna again. He hoped he would but never thought he would. When he moved to town to be the new brew master, he needed a nanny for his daughter Haven. His new boss had suggested to him that he had the perfect person, Vienna. Shocked when he was introduced to her. Vienna was beyond shocked, she was upsetthat she spent all summer with him and Wells never mentioned a daughter. She decided to be Haven's nanny but had ground rules for Wells. He went along with the rules and it was harder than he thought. His daughter loved Vienna and felt so special with her. The two of them got along great and Wells was falling more and more in love with her. Haven to was falling in love with Vienna to and for Christmas coming up she had made a wish. Wells and Vienna could not take the rules any longer, so when his daughter went with her mom for the weekend the two of them threw the rules out of the window. So when Christmas came and Haven caught them kissing she was thrilled. Her wish came true that they would fall in love. Even though their relationship started over the summer, it ended around Christmas aand they will get their HEA they all deserved. Wells, Vienna and Haven.

𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫, a must-read novella in the Love Beach Holiday series by Alexandra Hale, captures a spicy single dad/nanny romance that began as a summer fling. Vienna Greene, looking to put down roots in Love Beach and open a floral shop someday, is in need of a nanny job to fund her dream. She’s surprised, though, to find the brewmaster in need of a nanny is none other than her summer hook-up, Wells Reiser—now the father of a seven-year-old daughter, Haven, and her prospective employer. Wells’s move to Love Beach, the new job, and his daughter all come as unexpected twists for Vienna, leaving her both mad and undeniably attracted. Navigating their undeniable chemistry, fiery confrontations, and humorous banter, they attempt to deny the attraction for Haven’s sake, but their connection sizzles throughout. Vienna and Wells’s relationship brings a great blend of sweetness, sass, and spice, all set within the warm, tight-knit Love Beach community. Haven’s dynamic with Vienna is especially heartwarming, adding depth to the story, and Vienna’s caring presence shows Haven what a positive female relationship looks like. If you’re looking for a fast-paced, emotionally satisfying holiday romance that’s both hot and heartfelt, this novella is one you won’t want to miss!
This age gap summer hook-up turns into something more when Wells Reiser takes the job at Love Beach Brews as the new brewmaster bringing along his seven year old daughter in the move but he had no idea that his summer hook-up, Vienna Greene, worked at this bar and was the woman his new boss had suggested to be his nanny. Wells moving to Love Beach, taking the job and having a daughter was all news to Vienna and she did not like the surprise at all. How will this all work out when she desperately needs the extra income the nanny job would give yet she’s still very attracted to Wells and so very mad because he didn’t tell her any of this? This hot, delightful addition to the Love Beach Holiday Series brings it all; steam, fiery confrontations leading to desire, close friendships and dependable family members, ex-wife turmoil, sexy and humorous banter, sweet times shared with a seven year old and lovable romance. The words “hot, fast, and furious” come to mind but yet it’s also “ sweet, sensual, sass” too. I received an advance review copy of this book for free. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Vienna is working to save up to open her own flower shop. The bar where she works will be offering less hours due to the end of tourist season, so her boss and friend finds her a nanny position with his new brewmaster, Wells. The problem: Wells was Vienna’s summer hook-up, he never told her he had a daughter and now she was going to be working for him.
I devoured this novella. The banter between Wells and Vienna was so good. The tension between them was incredible. The spice was 🔥🔥. Vienna is a force, she is funny and strong and covers her soft heart with snark and sarcasm. Wells was such a sweet dad and wanted the best for his daughter, which meant he needed to stay clear of his nanny, except he was drawn to her. I also loved the relationship Vienna developed with Wells daughter, Haven.
This book takes place from the end of summer through Christmas, including Halloween. So, if you aren’t quite in the mood for holiday books yet I think this would be a great novella for you this month.
The only downside of this book is that it was too short, I would’ve read a full length book with these characters. And I will read anything Alexandra writes!
I loved this one! I devoured it in one morning. Alexandra’s writing and story was fantastic. This was a shorter novella, but it packed so much plot in and I wasn’t lacking for anything (expect just maybe wanting even more Wells and Vienna)
These two sucked me in from the prologue-this started with some great spice, but it what the undeniable chemistry and connection that had me hooked. The banter was so good and I found myself laughing often. I think Vienna is one of my top FMC from this author yet!
I loved watching the relationship and friendship between them deepen and turn into love so effortlessly. Wells is a single dad to the adorable Haven. The way Vienna connected with her, and protected her was beautiful. They all had so much fun together and I couldn’t keep the smile off my face. The three of them made the best little family. I was so happy when Wells and Vienna finally gave into to tension and feeling they had brewing from the start.
I enjoyed seeing little cameos from other books, and hints at so other story’s I have yet to read! I’ll be diving into the next novella from this authors 3-story Love Beach Brews collection immediately.
A perfect cute novella continuing with characters that have been met. This is Vienna and Wells' story.
Their's was just simply, a hook up for the summer, with each trying to hide their true feelings. Imagine each other's shocks, when Issac introduces Well's to Vienna. Vienna was suggested by Issac to be a nanny to his 7 year old daughter.....a daughter, Haven, Vienna knew nothing about. Of course, after concessions and pleading are had, Vienna agrees to be Haven's nanny, but with some stipulations.
Vienna falls into "nannying" like she is always meant to be there, becoming what Haven needs, and Well's. They already have an incredible amount of smutty goodness, that no amount of syrup could douse, but opening up to each other, and giving themselves, and each other, permission to explore an actual relationship, takes a wee while longer. Loved this, I actually was sad to read the end. This was just everything I love with Alexandra's writing, and this gives you all those warm cosy feels.
Super adorable, chock full of charm, and a whole lot of fun! The chemistry is crackling, sass is flowing freely, and patience is wearing thin when Vienna’s summer hookup morphs into her new boss and now there is a strict no touching policy, a whole lot of forced proximity, a little girl that’s becoming Vienna’s whole world, and an undeniable need to rip her boss’s shirt off in a quick read that has all the feels, all the tension, and is a blast from start to finish.
Such a great quick read! Vienna is like super nanny and you can’t help but love her to pieces for the way she is with Haven, always putting her first and loving her like her own from the second they meet. It’s definitely a hot romance, Wells and Vienna are pure fire in that department, but it is the sweetest thing that they put whatever they had aside for months to make sure Haven had stability and that’s really what this is, just a heartwarming read about two people and an enchanting little girl that find themselves a family when they definitely weren’t planning on it and it’s fabulous.
I was so excited to read Vienna Green’s story. I loved her spunk, sass, and not afraid to say what was on her mind. I think I’d like to be her when I grow up. She’s fairly new to Love Beach, but spent an incredible summer with Wells, who was passing through, and while she can’t get him out of her head, is ready to move on. When Wells takes a job at the bar she works at as the brewmaster and is in need of a nanny for his daughter, things get a little complicated. When she accepts the job as nanny, they both agree to keep it professional.
This story is a great addition to The Love Beach Holiday Collection and connects Alexandra Hale’s Blackstone Falls series. I love worlds that interconnect! I love the fun banter between the siblings and friends, backed by their love and support for one another. I love the bond between Vienna and Haven (Well’s daughter). The attraction and steam Wells and Vienna generate is off the charts and I enjoyed the anticipation and intensity of their connection. I’m looking forward to Ms. Hale’s next book.
Please Read Summer with a Brothers Best Friend before this book. It has some of the Characters in this in it.
Vienna comes to town with her Best Friend Reece for the Summer. They are both Teachers. Viennas real passion is to open a Flower shop as that is what she really wants to do with her life.
Wells is a Divorcee with a gorgeous little girl Haven who he absolutely adores. He gets a job as a Brewmaster in the Bar that is owned by Isaac. He needs a new Nanny to help with Haven while he is working and Isaac sets him up with Vienna not realising that they had been hooking up with each other all Summer.
Vienna refuses to take the job at first but after meeting Haven who she ends up being smitten with, agrees reluctantly that she will do it for a while to save money for her shop but that nothing further can happen between them.
Wells agrees but living together does not turn out easy for either of them and they fight their attraction at all levels.
I won't say anymore but you are going to love this book.
Whew! You can just feel the heat from the very beginning. In this 5⭐️ winner Vienna and Wells are having fun for the summer and their chemistry is so combustible. They go their separate ways though reluctantly. Imagine Vienna's surprise when she goes to interview for a nanny position to make money towards her dream when she comes face to face with Wells. Looks like Wells forgot to tell Vienna something. Their passion hasn't diminished and they seem to be a perfect fit but will either want to get into something heavy? Can Vienna forgive Wells for not being honest with her? Does Wells persuade Vienna to take the job and eventually open her heart andlet him in? Would they both agree to a hands off approach? This fantastically talented author just has you really feeling the sizzle. So if you like heat, witty banter, and back and forth playfulness then I absolutely recommend this outstanding ebook. You won't go wrong.

Vienna Greene went to Love Beach with her best friend to help plan her parents’ anniversary party, with no plans to stay, but her plans changed and now she is working on her own dreams of an opening a flower shop. She met Wells Reiser in a bar and after a fun summer of what was supposed to be just a summer fling, he left and returned home. With things slowing down at the bar due to tourist season slowing down she was needing to make some extra money, so her boss asks her if she wanted to nanny for the new brewmaster, she was not expecting her summer fling to walk back in the door. She
She got along great with Haven, she was falling in love with that little girl, and the move time she spent with her and the more Wells saw them to ether the more he was falling for Vienna as well. Haven made a Christmas wish, I am sure you can guess what it is, but if you want to know for sure what it is you will need to read the book to find out. I could really go on about this book it is amazing. But I need to stop so I don’t give too much away.
Alexandra has done it again!! I will read any novella (any book really) she writes. I finished this one within hours because I could not put it down. Vienna and Wells are pure chemistry. Throw in an adorable seven year old and I’m hooked.
Vienna’s dreams are so close. She just needs more income to pull it all together. Enter the new Brewmaster in town. He’s a single dad who needs a nanny for his adorable seven year old. Too bad he just happens to also be her summer hookup.
I loved Vienna and Wells. In the beginning their banter leads to passionate hookups. As they see a different side of each other that passion they feel for each other becomes harder to resist. There are moments of pure love and joy they not only share with each other but also Haven. Vienna slides in and creates the perfect trio.
We also get the fun laughable moments between the Greene siblings and Vienna with her bestie!
Vienna (h27) never expected her summer fling with Wells (H35) to be anything more than just that, until fate brings him to her small beach town with his seven-year-old daughter, Haven, in tow. What starts as an awkward reunion quickly turns complicated when Wells asks Vienna to become Haven’s nanny. Despite their unresolved tension, Vienna can’t deny the growing bond she feels with Haven, and soon finds herself falling for both father and daughter. Wells is trying to navigate life as a single dad after a painful divorce, but Vienna’s presence makes everything easier, except for his feelings for her. As the lines between professional and personal blur, things heat up between the two, and Vienna and Wells have to decide if they’re ready to risk everything for a second chance at love with one another. Sweet and steamy age gap, holiday, small-town romance, exploring love, connection, family, belonging, and second chances.
Vienna has moved to Love Beach but her sister runs a food truck in Magnolia Point, just one town over. She meets Wells in Magnolia Point and their summer no strings fling goes full force. Once smmer is over she never expects to see him again. The best laid plans go awry. I love their heat and their determination to not act on it. Their story is fun, flirty, full of snark and a roller coaster ride to boot. I love how Vienna puts Wells's daughter first when she becomes his nanny. They each take such great care of that little girl and each other. The writing flows so easily. Reconnecting with Issac and Reece is fun. Meeting Jace has my mouth watering for his story. I can't wait. Oh, I can't forget Saige. Her story has to be full of heat for her new next door neighbor, the all night rock star who won't let her get a good night's sleep.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I was perturbed - I usually really like this author but this one didn't deliver, for me. Admittedly, I haven't read the other books in the series but I don't think that held me back terribly.
If I had to diagnose why this didn't work for me...it's a novella, it needs to be high & tight. The beginning was really strong and spicy, and I got very excited for the potential, but then, sadly, this story started unraveling in a lot of places, just because of the multiple storylines and characters who kept coming in & out. There's an ex wife who seems bothersome for a bit & then disappears. Vienna's wish to have her own store, that kinda weaves in & out. Too many characters and I started losing track of who was who.
I almost feel like this was too enmeshed & intricate of a storyline to squeeze into a novella - like it might have been better off as a full length novel as I would've actually wanted to see the tension & longing play out between Wells and Vienna.
Vienna has had an eventful summer with her summer fling. Or she thought that was all he was until her boss introduces her to the new brewmaster. That wasn’t the only surprise she got, but that nanny job that she was asked if she would consider, yeah it is for the same guy’s daughter. Wells had no idea Vienna was who Issac was recommending, but he already knows the chemistry is strong between them. Keeping his distance while watching her spend time with his daughter and show her all the joys of cooking, baking and sewing was not on his bingo card. As they fight the attraction, they know simmers between them they both learn something about each other, but also about themselves. This was such a great holiday novella as we get a couple holidays as Vienna helps Wells’ daughter, Haven, celebrate. These two are so much fun together and well you will also enjoy a laundry room scene, IYKYK.
