I had already fallen for Scout in book 1 and this book made me fall even harder. I absolutely adore Scout and Birdie's relationship. The way they come together through the trauma and trials in their paths is amazing. This was a short novella and I devoured it in like an hour. I couldn't put it down. I only wish that there was more of these 2. I have loved everything I've read by this author so far and would recommend for sure!

Okay, we absolutely fell head over heels for Scout in book 1, but man, oh man, will you be falling even harder for him in this one.
This man is everything and more. He's absolutely swoon worthy. Yes, he has his flaws, and he is stubborn as all can be, but when he finally gets through that thick skull of his and works out his issues, ugh...melting!!
I love the connection that Scout and Birdie have. It's so real and easily relatable. They have their ups and downs and have been put through the ringer, but in the end, they know they wouldn't be where they are without the other.
I LOVEEEE the crossover characters, too 😉

Lexi's books are always a wild ride and this one wasn't any different. This is part 2 in the dual and starts off right where part 1 left us with that awful cliffhanger!! This story left my head spinning with the emotional rollercoaster ride it took us on. The ups and downs, the twists and turns you most definitely don't see coming. It's filled with so much action, suspense, darkness, rawness and so much more. Once I started I just couldn't put it down, not for a second. I was hooked from the start. If you have read both these books then I suggest you do it's a helluva read. Lexi always has me in awe of her writing, characters and plots. They are wonderfully planned out. I can't wait to read more from Lexi. Highly recommend!!

We get to know more about birdie and scout, after the accident , it was a bit of touch and go, my heart was in my throat , I didn't know if she would wake up or not , loss her memories, or have lost the baby, my heart was breaking. But I got the answers to all my questions. I loved this couple. Birdie has alot off demons, scout would go to the ends of the earth for her, their relationship is beautiful.

Short but good ending to the story that we got for valentine’s week! We could finally get the back end story of what happened to this two love birds.
Scout still the gorgeous man he is, doing everything in his power to make Birdie stay with him forever. Their connection is beautiful and honestly they deserve the love they wanna give to each other, he will do anything for her. Even tho they go through so much they end up together, forever.

Continuing on from the first book exactly where it leaves off sees FMC in trouble in more ways than 1 in this short novella she must deal with the trauma of her past, present and future to ensure her relationship with scout stays strong.
MMC deals with trust issues and his own head in this one. With outside advice he finds the best way to get through and come out the other side better than ever!
Lexi, you and your Heart Stopping endings are going to be the death of me.
Please tell me theres more because it seems i am mentally invested in what happens next!!!!!

Another quick novella which was barely an hour long. The story had potential and held my attention, but a lot of the tension felt manufactured, like the characters were reacting with worst case scenario panic when it didn’t quite make sense for the situation.
Because it’s a novella, I expected things to move quickly, but the emotions still felt exaggerated and a little unrealistic. The melodrama sometimes pulled me out of the story. By the end of the book I was just mad. The hypocrisy and immaturity were too much for me. It also says it’s only a duology but there’s kind of a lot of loose strings left at the end…

Once again Lexi brings out the big guns for Scout and Birdie, these 2 are perfect for one another. If you’re after a super short, spicy read that has a strange (in a good way) amount of turmoil for such a short duet then this is the one for you.

The story starts where one ended. We know from one that Birdie was hurt and we want to see this sweet young lady getting better. This part of the duology we see a lot more of Scouts thoughts. We see the pain that they both go through. It quickly draws you right back into it. It is a fast paced story but yet not so fast that you feel like you are missing things. The story is extremely well written and developed. I really enjoyed Birdie and Scouts story. Their friendship and love are a beautiful combination that just adds to the story. It is a stunning story that is absolutely a must read.

This was a very quick, fast paced book on the relationship between Birdie and Scout and the vast amount of trauma they both equally share. It went over S/A and ways of dealing with the emotional damage that it can cause, as well as how to cope with a partner going through it. I appreciated the time Scout took to not only overcome his own demons but also the care and love he took to give Birdie what she needed.

This was a very quick, fast paced book on the relationship between Birdie and Scout. It's a short & quick read & a continuation from book 1. I absolutely adore Scout and Birdie's relationship. Even tho they go through so much they end up together, forever. Short, but a good ending to the duology! I loved this novella & highly recommend this duet & author!

Omgosh!! Scout!! I loved him in book 1, but I loved him even more in this one!! His connection with Birdie is perfect and beautiful! No matter what Scout will do anything for his Birdie. They may go through hell and back, but they come back stronger than ever!! Perfect book!!

Devil’s Sweetheart and Sweetheart’s Devil by Lexi Gray are super quick reads that you can easily finish in one sitting. The story follows Birdie and Scout, lifelong friends with feelings that have clearly been there for years.
I liked the idea of their relationship and Scout’s devotion to Birdie, but because both books are novellas, everything happens really fast. The emotional shifts and big plot moments felt a little rushed, and sometimes the drama seemed more intense than the situation called for.
It was an entertaining, fast, slightly dark read with a lot of angst and spice, but I wish the story had been longer so the characters and emotions could’ve been developed a bit more. Still a decent read if you want something quick and dramatic.
