Loved the concept of this book, was riveted by the investigation of a cold case but found myself skipping over the sections based on her own mothering. I could see the connections and usually am really drawn to auto fiction but the pull of the murder mystery just eclipsed the everyday, like watching a whodunit and having to be interrupted by phone calls from a friend. In saying that I couldn't put the book down and admire the writer so much for weaving the story of this young girl and the small town into the present.
