The name of the game is fame, and the trick is simple:
If you aren’t a player … you’re being played.
Isobel knows it. The Alphas know it. Yet every time they make a move, Ironside counters with two, always one step ahead, outsmarting them at every turn. Just when they grasp a lifeline, Ironside threatens to hang them with it.
They have only one choice: play the game—the real game, exactly as it was designed. With new contracts pulling them deeper into the service of the Stone Dahlia and yet another settlement tour looming on the horizon, they must execute their roles flawlessly.
It’s time to dim the lights, switch on the cameras, and get down to business.
Beware the pretty players, because this social media game just levelled up.

I'm convinced this series has some crack or witchcraft in it because my obsession with it is unreal.
Y'all don't know what I would give to be in Isobel's position 😭😩 Coming to her, I love to see her become more confident in her own skin and the way she carries herself book by book. The growth is nice to read.
But the way I screamed, giggled, blushed for Kalen, Mikel and Elijah should be researched. The three men had me on a chokehold the whole time. Moses, Oscar, Niko and Gabriel had me melting. Theodore, Killian, and Cian were sexy as always.
You know what? Just give me all of them. Your girl is as greedy as the fmc...if not more 👀
~•~•~ Not sure about these new covers but I need to hop back in this world and be with my ten alphas 🤤🤤
It is a good day to be a Kalen and Mikel girlie 🙌 The things these men did in this book... I will never be the same 💀
I had so much fun with this book and I tried, I REALLY DID, to savor it but I couldn't stop😭 I just love this series so much and I know it probably isn't everyone's cup of tea (an RH with TEN ALPHAS AND ONE SIGMA IS SCARY NGL), but Jane does such a wonderful job actually cultivating their relationships. I promise it isn't just a non stop sex fest with all of them😭 I mean the spice is EXCELLENT, but the best part of this series is the friendships and found family🤧 Also the fact this is omega verse set in the real world actually makes the events of this series tolerable and believable.. I mean omega verse is supposed to be weird😅
Their banter, the text chains and the way they are all there for each other NO MATTER WHAT🤧 I LOVE THEM YOUR HONOR 😭😭😭
Now this wasn't perfect, the plot meandered a bit for me and there were a lot of dancing scenes that I didn't really care about😅, but the main focus of this book was very much Illy growing her relationships with some of the guys and THAT MAKES TOTAL SENSE. This is really as much of an emotional slow burn as much as it was a sexual one and that just makes you appreciate their intimacy a lot more.
The character development of Illy??? Just wow! Book 5 Illy would not even recognize books 1 and 2 Illy. I'm in love with her too at this point 🤧 I loveddd the glimpses of some of the guys' backstories but man were they PAINFUL!!! Elijah and Gabriel 😭😭😭😭
It is legitimately so hard to pick a favorite, they are all so different and unique but PERFECT NONTHELESS😩 Kalen and Mikel though (the professors bcz I am in fact a basic b*tch)?? COME HOME THE KIDS MISS YOU 😭😭😭
Only one more book and it's over😭😭 ------------------------------------------------- IT'S FINALLY IN MY HANDS AHHHHHHHHHHHH ------------------------------------- OMG WE FINALLY HAVE A COVER😭😭😭😭😭 I NEED THIS BOOK IN MY LIFE RNNNNNNNN😭 ONE MORE MONTH🤧
jane should be studied for being able to pull off an ELEVEN way relationship so well. everything is so balanced, the TENSION, the loyalty, their friendship, the banter, the GROUP CHATT, the way they're all there for each other😭😭 i love them so much
Of COURSE, I'm gonna rate this 5 stars. Jane just gave me THE Elijah scenes of my goddamn dreams.
If someone asks why I hyperfixate on Elijah and Gabriel so much I'm just gonna shove this book in their face. Like, here. Read the Elijah Reed sacred texts. It will change your life.
What I didn't expect to happen tho, was everything with Kalen. I knew he had it in him, I just didn't think I would see it, at least not in this book. The breathing breaks I had to take during that chapter? INSANE. So hot. Nothing will ever compare. It's so over for me.
Oscar's "everything I have is yours till I die," and "I need you (with me) to sleep," because Isobel is his safe place? Hello? Are we not gonna freak out over this because????????? He loves her so much and is so grateful for her because Isobel is such a kind and beautiful and selfless little angel????????? I will NEVER shut up about this.
And Mikel's "What if I try?" GOOD BYEEEEEEEEEEEEE SLASH MY HEART AND LEAVE ME TO DIE I love Mikel so much.
I love that in this book you finally get to see the dynamic of Isobel and half of the guys being in some sort of a relationship. The cuddles, kisses, touches and sleepovers. But we also get the slowburn and the yearning from the other half. Truly the best of both worlds.
I am a BIG fan of the progression with the side characters as well, like Braun Carter. I know. The DAD. Wasn't expecting that at all. I also need to see more of Bellamy and Sophia!!! They crack me up so much. Wouldn't mind a spin-off actually HEHEEEEE
I can't wait to see what Jane will do next, especially with Niko, Gabriel, Mikel, and Moses. OH MY GOD MOSES. He was insanely hot in this book oh my god. So excited for him. And also more Kalen because phew........... we need more, ma'am.
Also just want to bring attention to Jane's insane talent at writing group texts, or just text messages in general.
They sound simple but not all authors can write natural text messages. Sometimes they even put me off of a book. Jane writes them in a way that I can see myself or people around my age saying something similar over text (as in they don't sound like a 78 yr old grandfather wrote it)
One of Ironside's greatest strengths is the god-tier group chats.
And while we're on that topic...... the banter. Same thing as the text messages, the banter in this whole series is always so natural and believable. Like something me and my friends would actually say when we joke around. I love it a lot.
Another Jane Washington book going into my comfort read pile (✿◡‿◡)
I waited for this for 5 months and finished it in like 2 days even though I TRIED really hard to read it as slow as I could. Brb gonna cry myself to sleep until June 😞
──────✧ pre-read my plan was to wait at least a week after release bc I didn't want to go through this book too fast......but I am not god's strongest soldier and I can't just ignore this while it's right fucking there......begging for me to read it.........and I also miss them like crazy SO HERE WE GO I AM SO EXCITED
──────✧ pre-release not to put pressure on this book or anything but knowing I have this to look forward to is the only thing keeping me going in life right now so.... hurry up I miss Elijah 😞
18/12-24 On to once again wait a couple of months for the next book ig…
This was SOO GOOD!! Pure crack. I think this really had everything I needed right now. I feel complete. I feel happy. (First time I feel happy after one of these ending? The cliffhanger is always crazy).
I absolutely love how all the relationships are developing. I love how kind of realistic the relationship between them all is building. The struggle of liking her but also wanting her for themselves and not wanting to share is unique for me and I LOVE IT. It makes it so real.
Also, let me just say that I would die for every single one of them. LUCKILY she doesn’t have to choose (why choose for a reason guys) because that would have been impossible.
Also actually really enjoyed the redemption arc (hopefully it holds on…)
Anyways, would very much appreciate getting Elancer in my hands asap. (🙏😉) I also can’t process that it’s gonna be the last one??? What do you mean
27/5-14 DECEMBER😭😭
How it feels knowing I’m going to wait for this book to be released for like 7 months only to read it one one day:😁😁😁😆😭😁😁😁😁😁
Post-Read: 2 days after. I feel like I'm trying to reach out for a ghost limb. 🫥 THERE. ARE. NO. MORE. PAGES*. 😭😭😭 (*for 5 months) ____
"Review" We thought we saw the slow burn? The joke's on us cause the biggest freaking slow burn is still happening and it's called Moses, and Elijah. They'd better have some pretty earthshattering scenes in the next book (or books? Who knows. One book seems too little) to make up for all this... edging...
Updated rankings: 1. Moses (Momo forever) 2. Cian (you can literally put him everywhere and he'll be great. Hell, he taught Oskie to share) 3. Elijah (Brains are hot) 4. Mikel (I've so much to learn) 5. Kalen (I wouldn't have expected him to be out shined by Mikel, but the pictures thing was hot) 6. Gabriel (he's the one I can predict the least and that's intriguing) 7. Oscar (he lost a few positions, but he's Momo's buddy) #. *Extra* Bellamy (he was kinda hot in this book. I had also forgotten he is supposed to have a British accent... Or "he sounds like Harry Potter", as his new friend would say.) 8. Theo (I don't do too well with the popular ones) 9. Niko (He has a bit more of an edge now, but idk) 10. Kilian (Meh)
Y'all already know I loved this. So let's go with a list of my fav moments.
Warning: This review is potentially spoilery and has high Momo-content. Consume at your own risk.
_____
16% Deep discussions with Elijah on flirting theory and practice "Do I look like I flirt, Sigma?" "I could see you flirting," she hedged. "Maybe with a scientific manual of some kind? I could see you stroking its spine by the fireplace, fingering its pages" He looked amused, so she continued. "I could see you flirting with a documentary on binary code--snuggled in with some wine and fondue." His firm lips twitched, giving her a flash of the reaction she craved. "Do I look like I eat fondue?" he asked blandly. "Did you really just say fingering?" Gabriel interrupted. lsobel, whose cheeks began to burn, ignored him, keeping her attention on Elijah. "'Not fondue. Souls, maybe." "Souls," he repeated dryly. "And tears," she added. "And dreams. And hopes." "Tears and dreams and hopes," he parroted. "Right." "You look like you'd eat me alive."
28% Momo needs his demon horde dream to come true Moses snorted. "Lord, give us strength." "The only thing any lord is giving you is a pitchfork," Cian said. "And a brood of demons to rule over." "Sounds like a cushy deal to me." Moses shifted his broad shoulders in a careless shrug. "If anyone deserves a brood of demon slaves, it's me." "Can't say I've ever heard anyone claim to deserve a brood of demon slaves before," Kilian said. "It's called the law of attraction, Kili," Moses crooned sweetly. "If you believe it, you can have it."
43% Momo would make Oskie proud. Bellamy is actually cool. Bellamy: Moses saw your name on my screen. Bellamy: He's threatening to brain me with a sauté pan. Bellamy: I told him you were asking for nudes. Isobel: Felt like dying today, did you? Isobel: Bellamy? She jumped up, rushing to the cafe in the centre of the room and stopping at the bar, where she had a clear line of sight into the kitchen. Moses was leaning against the cold storage, his leg bent up, foot planted on the heavy door. One arm was crossed casually over his chest and he was whistling as he examined the nails of his other hand. "Where did Bellamy go?" Ethan asked, drying his hands as he darted through the kitchen. "He was just requested." "He's in the cold room," Isobel said. Moses scowled at her.
51% The number of panties Illy is losing in this book, without realizing it, is worrisome. I guess that's Karma for borrowing all those shirts. Gabe is only the beginning. The Alphas have more of her panties than she does
57-59% It’s always better when everybody’s watching. Oscar pushing Theo away and inviting Momo in is peak bromance. "Someone get the lights," Niko barked. "I don't want to watch this." "No," she croaked, her eyes flickering to Moses against the door. She needed to see him. He was hers. 🔞+ Theory? /Filthy expectation? 👉👉👉
61% Who’s your daddy now, Isobel? Vol.1 - Mikel Edition "He looks at you guys like the sons he never had," she breathed, annoyed. "Not me," Mikel returned, looking amused. "He looks at me like he has nightmares about the time he asked if I was trying to be your new daddy."
80% Who’s your daddy now, Isobel? Vol.2 - Kalen Edition "Ah, right where I left you. Hello, Daughter." Had he just .. made a joke? "Hello, Father," she husked out, completely unsure. "I don't think I've ever seen West so pissed," her father added, his tone positively jovial. "I think you're about to be grounded."
81% Momo likes to hit back too. Hand and tongue combo edition. (This quote is not as dirty as it sounds)
81% Mikel just…slayed. He’s risen in my rankings like a unicorn propelled by rainbow farts. Now fighting for #3 against Elijah. For educational purposes, he provided all the Alphas with a nice list of her, surprisingly few, limits. There is learning value from this bit. An extract.
THE PARENT COLLECTION
88% Momo and Oscar bromance - Vol 2. “Is that Oscar?" Moses asked from directly behind her. He grabbed her hips, spinning her around and pinching her phone away from her ear, hitting the speaker button. "Hey," he said. "Hey," Oscar replied. And then nothing.
88% "Sad war movies are perfect. Proceed with the bonding." She snuggled back against Moses, enjoying his sweet, crushed-petal scent as it slowly unfurled around her. She turned her head to the side, brushing her nose against his shirt, and his arms tightened around her. There was a pulse between her legs and a heightened tension in the room, as if everyone could suddenly smell the spike in her arousal. She couldn't help it. Moses turned her on. He always had ... and that was the problem. He turned her on too much. It scared her, always making her back away. She rubbed her cheek against his shirt, trying to soothe her thoughts. I'm not going anywhere. His voice whispered into her mind through the bond.
94% MOSES CAN'T SAY STUFF LIKE THAT AND NOT HAVE SOLO SCENES TO FOLLOW "Why are they acting like me and Cian are a done deal?" "Maybe they heard you screaming down the lodge in Piney Woods," Moses whispered back. "How do you know that was Cian making me scream?" She lowered her voice even further as a girl settled into the chair across from her. He leaned closer, his lips brushing her ear. "You have a different scream for each of them, Sigma."
96% Momo developing a taste for spanks (Vol 2) She giggled again. Oscar shoved his phone away. "That's it,"' he growled, stalking over to her. She launched from the sunlounger, trying to run away, but Moses quickly caught her, tossing her over his shoulder and delivering a sharp spank to her butt.
96% Momo and the Jabs "Attack,"' Moses ordered darkly, and Isobel tried to jab Elijah with her elbow. He didn't react at first, but she could see him starting to break. He sighed, putting his phone away. Jab. He tried to look bored. Jab jab. His lips curved up at the corner. Jab jab jab. He chuckled, catching her arms. "All right, you menace, I concede." "Do we let him concede?" Isobel glanced over her shoulder at Moses. "Never,"' he growled. "'Attack!" Before she could jab Elijah again, Moses suddenly spun her to face Mikel, who stood at the railing, looking at them like he didn't know whether to laugh or take his chances jumping over. She jabbed him. He cocked a brow, his expression saying "do you really want to do this?" "Get him," Moses whispered silkily into her ear. The devil on her shoulder. She jabbed Mikel again. His lips twitched just like Elijah's had. Two more jabs, and he was laughing.
Bonus 77% Is this harem getting too small?? Isobel stared at them. "Why didn't I think of that?" Sophia grinned. "You're too busy being railed by a baker's dozen of hot Alphas." "A baker's dozen is thirteen. There's only ten of them." "Only." Bellamy burst into laughter. "My god, you need your head examined." "Not just her head," Sophia deadpanned. ___
Pre-Read I'll be honest. I'm a bit scared of this book. I'm told this has converted Kilian girlies into Moses girlies. I'm already teenage-fangirl level for Moses, constantly raising since the start, what the heck is it going to do to me??
I am gonna add Willah's Pic of Moses with a cat so I can be brave. And Halloween Moses so I can be even more brave. BONUS: Mr Crystal from book 3 😏
Also, my physical copies arrived. They look so pretty!
No changes in my rankings just yet. The #3 spot will be a double team. 4.5 ⭐️ glisser was my most anticipated release of the year …and it was over too soon. i never want this series to end! the ironside academy books never fail to keep me entertained. glisser was no exception, however, this is also the first ironside academy book that i haven’t rated five stars.
being the second last book, i am concerned how this series could possibly wrap up in one more book. perhaps i’m being unfair given that this concern could be entirely unjustified but the impending ending has me on edge with the pacing of the storyline and the likelihood of this series receiving a quality ending due to it. in my opinion, this book did not contribute much to developing or furthering the plot. this is a slow progressing storyline which i’ve never faulted because the character development is beautiful, and i appreciate the attention jane gives each of the alpha’s and their evolving relationships with isobel.
i adored exploring isobel’s relationships with mikel, kalen, moses and elijah. who knew elijah would be such a damn softie?! my interest in elijah has now tripled, but my man moses has me hook, line and sinker. is it just me or did moses suddenly get a thousand times sexier?! give me more. i was a little disappointed by how little attention kilian and theodore received however, with ten mmc’s, i understand that it’s impossible to share the spotlight between all ten alphas in roughly 500 pages.
i’m already fiending for book six! i just honestly think jane will need a miracle to end this adored series in one more book. i would be thrilled to be wrong. i also wouldn’t be opposed to devouring however many more books needed to provide isobel and the alphas the quality conclusion they deserve 💕

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS GLISSER. THREE DAYS TO GO! 💖
So yeah I did skim through the last 40% of the book and wouldn't have mattered if I had dnf'd it because NOTHING HAPPENED. This was supposed to be the last bookkkk! Idk why the author made this a nonsense filler book instead I think we all know why
But yeah, I am not sure if my sanity would allow me to continue this series but we shall see :)
And apparently I'm the only one who thinks this but I just can't 😭 ***
I'm not saying I don't like this cover but there's no alternative cover whereas all the other books in this series had a different cover 😭😭 But anyways, here we go 🤞🤞 the finale
i bumped it back up to 5 stars bc i love this series, sue me. TIME FOR ELANCERRRR👹👹
first read:
full disclosure, this rating is one million percent biased because this is one of my favorite comfort series. (i say about a series that is full of pain and agony) i’m fully aware this isn’t a “perfect” book for everyone, but i have on my blinders 𝘢𝘯𝘥 rose colored glasses
i’d love to give this a full, proper review, but i struggle to write reviews for books i really enjoy or when i’m reading a longer series. glisser falls into both of those categories. also it literally just came out and i’m trying to avoid giving spoilers. so, i’ll just give a very basic summary of my thoughts.
i’m so sad i finished this so quickly, but i could not be stopped and read this every spare chance i had. (and may have stayed up past 5am two nights in a row🫢) the beginning was a little bit rough, but i love isobel and her 10 alphas too much to care. my only serious grievance is that i need SO MUCH MORE kilian. and more theo. but that’s just a personal preference. i’m glad this book shined the spotlight on some of the alphas that were neglected in previous books. (LIKE ELIJAH!!! holy shit he stole my heart towards the end) oscar and mikel also moved up my ranking too like hello ! i just thought the time jumps/pacing were a little weird. but i always look forward to their group text conversations and any of the scenes where they’re all together bc i adore their dynamic. i’m just gonna complain one more time about wanting more kilian and i’m not sorry about it. i love that man sm.
anyways, already gnawing at the bars of my enclosure for book 6.
"Be the person I can be gentle with, or rough with, whatever you like. Be the person I can laugh with. Be the person I can look at and have a conversation just with our eyes. Be the girl who teases me and challenges me. Let me take care of you.”
MIKEL🥵🥵🥵😩😩😩 I would act up just so this man can punish me! OOOO!
Adding the flashbacks of their trauma is so so good oh my god it was terrible and gave me all the feels 😭
How this still remains exciting after this many books is just crazy. Nothing happens and everything happens??? I love it
How is this about to be over!!??? Idk how this series is gonna end and I’m NERVOUS
I breezed through this as I have done with all the other books in this series. While it's a 4-star reading experience (it's addicting, the men are cute), overall I do think the book is more 3 or 3.5 stars. And honestly I probably should downgrade the last book too. Here's why - it kinda always comes back to the sheer amount of men in this reverse harem series...
Because there are TEN so much time has to be dedicated to their relationships' development that those relationships actually suffer and the overall plot DEFINITELY suffers. The author just can't balance out building those relationships AND having a detailed world and plot that move forward at a good pace. Mainly, this series really isn't much fantasy - it's just romance. And that's fine if that's what you position it as, but it's started out with these different fantastical elements and most of them get ignored for quite a while or just randomly dropped.
Yes, the author does relationship building pretty well I think for the most part. The men are now unique enough that I can mostly keep them separate in my brain. And I like that she delves into nuanced emotional trauma and personality differences of the men. But each of the books has had to focus more on 2-4 of them to explore their individual relationships, relegating the rest to the background.
In this book, Kalen, Elijah, Oscar, and Mikel get more coverage while the other men have very few POV sections. I think Cian for example has one POV section at the start of the book and then never again throughout the entire book. And Killian? I don't think he gets any POV at all. Theodore either I think.
So that means that these other relationships just fade to the background and we're told they continue but don't witness it much as readers. This kind of works against things like relationship milestones --> .
[Also, side note, we have one more book and most of the relationships are still uncertain.... seems like the last book is just going to be unwieldy? :( .]
In addition to the bulkiness of carrying 10 men across these books, it's the overall plot that suffers the most. It inches forward. It is a bit better than the last book (that one kind of hurt, because so many things just got ignored! Her chain that gave her access to her mates' powers? Never mentioned. The gods that are causing all this? Not explored. The guardians? Barely in it.) but it still kind of ignores the world it has set up and just gives you relationship moments and longer descriptions of dances and other performances. While those are interesting/pretty, I wish the author had done less of those descriptive paragraphs and allowed more time to actually focus on the overarching plot. I got tired of reading 6 pages about one aerial performance.
- The gods --> mentioned like once here? I feel like they should get more focus since they've been causing the soul artefacts? Which also, one thing happens with the flowers and then nothing else appears in terms of the artefacts so it's just kind of ignored.
- The whole Gifted vs. Humans world setup --> really thought we'd explore the wider world more but nope. Humans come in once in a while as in the past books but there's this whole idea around Gifted people basically living in camps and as second-class citizens and we just kinda never go deeper than the surface.
- Stone Dahlia and the people in power at Ironside --> come into play at the beginning to make the MC's lives more difficult... but I've got no idea where this is going. Is this going to be something where like somehow Isobel and her mates bring down the system? Cause that seems unrealistic in just one book left...
- We finaaalllyyy get some focus back on Isobel's chain that allows her to access the men's powers. That was totally ignored in the last book. We also finally get a bit more clarity around ferality.
- The humans at Ironside. We get like 2 scenes with them at the start and then, while they're mentioned later on, they never really affect anything else besides being unseen competition. So I feel like they're once again something that was dropped into the plot to really go nowhere. Silva especially, they paint him as possibly dangerous at the start of the book and in the last book and just like nothing happens with him in this one. Guess maybe we'll also have a humans vs. Isobel's group scene in the last book?
- Teak.
- Isobel seeing ghosts? While it happens like once it's just never really explored at all. Just another random power...
So where is it all going? At this point you have a girl who is only established in less than half of her relationships, where they can't reveal themselves, and Ironside officials are controlling their lives and they're second-class citizens in the wider world. Is this going to be like somehow humans love their videos so much they vote to change the whole social system? Cause that seems absurd when we haven't explored any of the wider world outside of some settlement visits and there's one book left.
Do I enjoy these books? Yes, definitely, I actually really love them. I like Washington's writing and her characters are done well and they're addicting. And I will read the last book. But is this series anything more than mostly just moments of their relationships? Not really. Basically, don't expect much fantasy with this fantasy series.
"If he calls us ‘his boys’ one more time, I’m changing my gender and giving up my Alpha designation.”
I think the fact that I read this series in three days speaks volumes about my love for it. (I've never read a series so fast). I picked up the first book without any particular expectations—I was just curious, and I always enjoy giving in to my curiosity. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn’t.
In this case, it more than paid off. I absolutely loved this series and adored every single one of its books.
𐙚 my favorites

𐙚 The Alphas
My little list of my favorite Alphas doesn’t mean I don’t love Moses —far from it. In truth, I love them all. I’ve grown attached to each of the Alphas, and just like Isobel, I love them all differently.
I don’t think it’s possible to dislike any of them or to love one less than the others. They all have something special, something that makes you care for them and want to know more about them, to read more about their interactions with Isobel.
I just loved all of them—I needed to read about them.
Everything is perfectly balanced—nothing too much, nothing too little—everything is just right, so that we can truly enjoy the story. It’s so captivating; they’re so captivating.
𐙚 The Alphas and Isobel
I love seeing how, with each book, multiple relationships are developed and given even more depth. For example, I got teary-eyed realizing that all Mikel wanted was to have a relationship with Isobel, and he simply didn’t know how to build one that would be just theirs. I loved that we got to see this new side of him in this book—Isobel needed it, and so did we.
Or like about Isobel and Gabriel’s relationship? It’s so deep, fragile, and beautiful... It was incredibly touching to see them grow closer, to see Gabriel accept Isobel when he could have easily pushed her away because of his trauma. I’m not saying he’s 100% healed from his past, but he’s taking it step by step with Isobel, and it’s so moving to witness that journey.
I find that each relationship is fantastically beautiful. Each one is different, yet none is overlooked. At least, no relationship feels less developed than another. They all have a certain depth that makes this series so incredible.
Now I’m just eagerly waiting for all of them (including Isobel) to realize their love for each other. I can’t wait to see Mikel and Calen choose to build a relationship with her. And I’m so excited to see Moses finally give in as well.
“Will you be my girlfriend?” he interrupted, his eyes going wide like he was surprised at the words that fell out of him. “Be my girlfriend,” he doubled down, recovering from his shock, his hands slipping up to her face, cupping her jaw with long, careful fingers. “Be the person I can be gentle with, or rough with, whatever you like. Be the person I can laugh with. Be the person I can look at and have a conversation just with our eyes. Be the girl who teases me and challenges me. Let me take care of you. Come to my room and talk to me about nothing or all the important things. Tell me how you feel about your dad or how much your feet hurt. Let’s get each other real presents instead of exchanging flowers on our birthdays. Be my girlfriend.”
And please, this scene ????? It has to be one of the most beautiful moments in the book, along with the one where Mikel talks to Isobel about their relationship. I was giggling and kicking my feet the entire time—it was just so sweet. I love that Elijah is the first to officially become Isobel’s boyfriend, especially since he was the first to take a step toward her during their first year. I think it’s such a perfect parallel.
In any case, I absolutely love each of the relationships Isobel has with the Alphas.
𐙚 Bellamy
I absolutely adore the friendship between Bellamy and Isobel. As I mentioned in my review of the fourth book, it’s so refreshing! They’re always teasing each other, and Bellamy is truly a real friend to Isobel. I really hope we get to see more of them in the future.
Bellamy and Lily was the cutest moment i've never thought i needed.
Bellamy with Sophie? I love that just as much!
𐙚 Thoughts about the series
At this point, I’m hoping there will be ten books... I love this series so much that I don’t mind if the story takes its time. There’s always something happening, and that’s all that matters.
I know there’s a sixth book, and I can’t wait to read it. I’m also a bit scared that it might be the last one, though. I wonder how everything could wrap up in just one book? There’s still so much to do—defeat Ironside, destroy this system... Maybe not everything will be resolved, I don’t know, but that’s definitely what I hope to see. I think 400 pages won’t be enough, especially after the ending of this book.
𐙚 Quotes
“You hate everyone,” Isobel said, too tired to care that Oscar was being a big, snarling bully. “I like you.” The words were a scrape of gravel, utterly without warmth. They still made her stomach burn, her skin tingling with pleasure.
Kalen: You’re not even going to wait for them to fuck? Who are you going to kill first? Oscar: Probably Theodore, that smug fuck. Kalen: He’s our lead singer, you idiot. Oscar: Then Kilian, that fake gay smug fuck.
Lips pushing at her cheeks—she always smiled like that, like her mouth was too narrow for it, creating multiple little dimples in her skin. With lips like hers, it was a smile that drew the eye. It wasn’t cute like she could sometimes be, or cold like she could sometimes be. It was plush and soft and inviting—like she almost never was.
Theodore: Stop it. Isobel: Make me. Oscar: Stop flirting in the group chat. Isobel: That was fighting. Oscar: As I said.
“Do I look like I flirt, Sigma?” “I could see you flirting,” she hedged. “Maybe with a scientific manual of some kind? I could see you stroking its spine by the fireplace, fingering its pages.” He looked amused, so she continued. “I could see you flirting with a documentary on binary code—snuggled in with some wine and fondue.” His firm lips twitched, giving her a flash of the reaction she craved. “Do I look like I eat fondue?” he asked blandly. “Did you really just say fingering?” Gabriel interrupted.
“I’ve got a little bit of a fucking problem, Carter. I need to be the one who takes this fear away. I can’t explain why. I just know it needs to be me. I’m the one who makes you feel safe again. It’s fucking me.” He slid against her, making her body bow back, a low whine catching in her throat. “But if I take you …” His voice grew deeper, more gravelled, his cock twitching as he began to grind into her. “The possessive bastard inside me will grow unbearable. I need a way to remind myself that you’re mine.”
“You’re still doing those?” Theodore asked, glancing at her screen as she began to draw. “It’s not like he’s getting any other presents,” she said, frowning at him. Theodore smirked. “You want me to get him a present? What do you think he’d like?” “Hand sanitiser,” Kilian commented without looking up.
“Why are we talking about Bellamy?” he growled lowly. She chuckled. “First example I could think of.” “Every time that fucker makes you laugh, I want to kill him.” “You could try to be funnier,” she said casually. “I’m fucking hilarious. You should come to one of my fights. I made a guy’s nose explode before break.”
If I had a Time Machine I would travel to the future where I can read this entire series in one sitting. Jane Washington has me hooked and I cannot get free(nor do I want to) and now it’s so hard to find other RHs that I like because she does it so well. Bc share if you know any other books like this
Edit OMGGG!!! I love love this series. I couldn’t put down this book at all. I even sacrificed sleep and revision for test season for it. It was that good. U was wondering how the relationship between Isobel and the alphas would evolve and that’s where I feel like most authors go wrong when writing rh. But Jane did it so well. It didn’t feel like she favored one more than the other. So basically what I am saying is that this is my favorite series and I cannot wait for the other(s) books
Somehow, these books make me stressed and comforted at the same time. I love the cozy (and HOT) dynamics between Isobel and her ten guys but I’m also on the edge of my seat the whole time because I never know what’s going to happen. This whole series is probably 80% character driven, 20% plot but the plot is still there enough to hook you. It’s an interesting world that this author has created and there’s so many different avenues this story could go.
This book was just as fun and addicting as the previous ones. I think it did a good job at keeping the momentum and balancing everything this story has to offer. When a character driven story is done well, it is so good. I would imagine it is difficult having ten guys to keep relevant and developing as the story progresses but I think it’s done well. There’s a little bit of everyone and I really loved the intimate scenes where they grew closer on an emotional level.
Bellamy is quickly becoming one of my favourites (I now have 12). I don’t like Isobel’s father because of his past but I am hopeful to see where that goes too. Of course, Isobel and her guys are the stars and are what make this book so great. Their dynamics and banter are top tier. I liked getting to see more of the guys’ relationships with each other and how close they really are.
I tried to drag this book out because I didn’t want it to end. It has a special place in my heart and I could stay in this world reading about them forever. It’s cozy and hot, funny and thrilling, and a really fun time.
4.75⭐ First: WHO WAS GONNA TELL ME THERE'S ANOTHER BOOK COMING OUT!?? There is right?? I don't even know at this point. Second: someone chuck a box of tissues at my head because I read this way too fast and now I'm just staring at a wall wishing it wasn't over 🤧 Third: OKAYYYY MOSES I SEE YOUUU okay but the scene where they were watching the sad war movie and Moses pulled her down on his lap and told her he wasn't going anywhere🥹 Fourth: I LOVE ALL THESE CHARACTERS like the things I would do to have these 10 guys obsessed with me...HECK EVEN JUST ONE OF THEM. Imma go curl up in a ball and cry now that it's over. 💔
I'm going to die waiting for this book. Simply perish. This is not hyperbole, I have entered my death phase. *dramatically faints onto a chaise longue*
My eyes hurt. I don’t think I’ve blinked for hours as I gobbled this up like it was my last meal. Although I didn’t know I’d get my heart ripped out of my chest today but, here we are.
Cooper is added to the “top book villains” list. Braun Carter is hereby removed from the jump-off-a-cliff-and-die list.
The relationship development in this was sooooo satisfying. Such organic growth. It was raw, and punched me right in the gut. We’ve got 6 of 10 locked in. I can’t wait to see how the others fall into place.
This is by far the darkest book of the series. I was horrified at times, had tears in my eyes at other times. Things got HEAVY. 💔💗🖤
The spice was so rewarding. The dialogue and banter was top notch.
HOW WILL THIS END?? I HONESTLY HAVE NO IDEA BUT IT’S GONNA BE EPIC I JUST KNOW IT.
I've taken deep breaths. I've cleared my schedule. I'm sat. I'm ready.

My Alpha rankings as we move into our final 2 books (panic!!). I will not apologize. But feel free to argue with me. I might change my mind 😈...
1. Oscar - I love an unhinged, unapologetic king 2. Kalen - A daddy. A rock. So hungry. 3. Theo - Where would we be without him? 4. Mikel - Another daddy. The control. Scars are beautiful. 5. Niko - A fighter. A survivor. Book 4 snagged me in his trap. The sacrifice he made for Isobel ::sobbing:: 6. Cian - Those piercings. Those tattoos. 7. Moses - Gives off "baby of the group" vibes ...but I love his enthusiasm. His broodiness. 8. Gabriel - shivering at the thought of who he is behind closed doors... 9. Kilian - Our sweetie. But a bit of a pushover. 10. Elijah - Only because I need MORE from him.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5
So fun to dive back into this world! Loved to see so much character development through out this book! Jane knows how to make you fall in love with all of her characters. I can’t decide who’s my favorite, they’re all so unique and different which makes the story so fun to read!
I wish we could have gotten alittle more action/plot twist in this one but still such a fun read! Can’t wait to see how this is going to end in the last book! ☺️
Jane does it again 🙌 listen i know all of you have heard me recommending this series a million times. IT IS FOR GOOD REASON.
Jane is perfect at balance. She balances the dark, the light, the humor, the spice, the drama, the suspense, the TWISTS😱
She is able to focus on the story so well while still managing to make us fall in love with 15 billion characters. I know that sounds intimidating but she does it so gracefully 🥰
Seriously idk how she pulls it off but this series has my cheeks sore from blushing and smiling and I stood up at least 2 times in shock. I had to stop eating my dinner at one scene!
She knows how to break your heart into the tiniest little pieces, stomp on them, burn them(😉) and put the ashes all on her shelf like little trophies and still leave us crawling back for more 🥵
One more book after this and I know I'll probably read this one atleast 3 more times before that's released 😂
Honestly a lot has happened in this book and I'm scared what are Jane's plans for the final book, which I hope is coming out SOON! Some people died, some tried to "redeem" themselves but Eleven is still together, so weight is off my shoulders 😮💨
I have a statement to make. After this book, I'm officially becoming Elijah's girl.
Of course, I'll take Gabriel too, since they're a duo!
Even Moses became so much fun! The elbow jabbing? So cute! __________________________________ 18/08/24

Seriously? When something good finally happens, I need to wait 4 months for the next book?!
jane washington decided to be my only 5 ⭐ reads this year and maybe forever because she is the theodore kane of the writing world.
(((I will edit this but I wanted to do a quick writing of my first read)))
... so I don't really know where to even begin with but even before release day I had mixed emotions inside of me because no matter what happens in this book it would leave me empty because Jane's writing makes you addicted. You will never get enough of it, you just need more and more. Especially with these books. Ironside Academy became my comfort place even though it shouldn't be since every book we read about this place is disgusting, so venomous and kind of a mirror to our current reality but aside from that everything that happened will always remain dearly in my mind and heart. I love Isobel Carter and her alphas. Every eleven of them are so well crafted, every detail so perfect that you could easily feel like you are in the room with them laughing at their jokes or solely in their warm embrace. My most favorite thing in this book was Illy. She is my favorite female character ever. She is strong and badass but never loses her sweet and gentle side. We see her growth and going further to everyone's expectations. I can't help feeling so proud of her. I'm glad she's receiving all the love and support she deserves because I had to run to the nearest church to confess all my sins because DAMN. Last time I warned you all to have a couple of water bottles since you will be thirsty but this time just go to the hospital to have an IV because it wouldn't be enough. It's never enough when it comes to ten alphas. Oh, these alphas. They can be possessive, territorial and brutal but when they have to be supportive and sweet they exceed every standard. We discover a lot of this time that some of us have expected and theorized. It was fun seeing how wrong I was in a lot of things. I laughed, I cried and blushed a lot about it. My heart aches this time not only of what happens in certain parts of the book but also because we are nearing the end of this amazing journey. I have never felt so attached to a book before. I normally become obsessed for a couple of days and then I'm obsessing over another thing but since the moment I read Plier last year I was hooked forever. There isn't a time of the week where I don't think about these characters or do a little quick reread of my favorite scenes. I know realistically there can't be more books but I feel like I'm mourning something that I didn't even lose and I'm never going to since they will always be there to read every time I want to. I'm not ready to say goodbye. I hope every once in a while Miss Goddess Jane Washington decides to pull out some random bonus scene or group chats text as an update of them because since I'm an addict to her gracious work, she kind of has the responsibility to give me a little dose lol (jk jk (not really)). I'm willing to trade my own house for a monthly subscription to Dorm A.
Goodness gracious😭 this series has crack in it forreal, because I’ve been obsessed since book one and my obsession never goes away LMFAO. Like it heightens with each book lol. I lovedddd this book just as much as the others and one of my favorite things was the balance in all the relationships between Isobel and the guys like I feel like we got to see more of all the relationships progress in subtle ways and i ate that up. The “mate” & “my mate” in this book had me FERAL. Like i loved that so much lmao. Ugh i don’t ever want this series to end😭 but also im gonna STRUGGLE waiting on book 6. Like I NEEEED IT.
either i suck at rating things below five stars (true) or this series was just really good (also true). in this book, it’s less experimental. the chapters begin to span over more time, and we see the character dynamics shifting into normality. that was what really showed the development—how the characters have changed and how they’re comfortable with each other, especially isobel.
this book was a good one, though the timing was odd to me some times. it would make me frustrated when something would happen at the end of a chapter, and i would be like ooh what happens next, and the the next chapter would start with “the next two months rolled by quickly…” like stop. ☹️ please. but i understand that it gets to a point where every interaction between the eleven aren’t as important because they’re like a family and already all like each other? like in the first few books, some chapters would span over one day, showing reactions to every little thing. and now those things are commonplace. i still missed the constant reactions, but whatever. not sure if that made sense but it did to me lmao.
this series was really cute and i can’t WAIT for the last one. this book ended on a happier note with not much of a cliffhanger, but the story still isn’t over yet. i’m here for braun and teak, that development is CRAZY, yet makes sense. okay. i’ll be waiting. sadly. impatiently. unhinged(ly?). for the next one. wish me luck.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
ps—another crazy detail about these books that the author did amazing at was that i know every character by heart. and when there’s eleven mcs, that has to be hard, but during the story, it wasn’t difficult to keep up at all. pps—i love elijah.
