I actually like this book, I do. There's a lot of good stuff in there. The problem is that for me it feels a little bit unfocused. There are chapters of narrative alternating with chapters that are nothing but quote after quote. Excellent motivational quotations, to be sure! But definitely not something you want to plow through just to get finished. I personally would prefer all of the "straight through" parts that read like a conventional motivational book to be together, and all of the quotation chapters to be together (maybe even with occasional short section introductions to get you in the frame of mind for the next section). I do like the 31-day section at the back, and it's always nice to have "read through the Bible" plans to choose from!
Don't come to this book looking for casual reading. This book requires a lot of introspective thought. Keep a highlighter handy of you're a highlighter person, because you'll want to mark the parts that speak to you. There's a lot of good stuff in this book. Just don't approach it like you approach other literature in the same genre.
