I read this in a day!
It was very fast paced, there was always something going on, and there was a lot going on!

Tia is a feisty character who is angry and bitter at her situation. It takes time but she does show development towards the end of the book.

I appreciated how the book pulls no punches, it is dark, especially as it deals with death, but it was dealt with well.

there’s a lot of ground covered here

there’s a lot of ground covered here so the plot is always moving and there’s plenty of cohesive ideas always on the go.
Quirky, inventive and definitely worth your time

Not your typical mage school story

Taken from her family at a young age because of her unique power to interact with the ghosts of the departed, six years later,Tia is finally free of the compulsion to remain at the possession school. But leaving the school and getting home will not be as easy as she thought. There was something going on, something students knew nothing about. And this Yule was looking for more than a log to burn.

The author filled this story with multiple layers, witches, ghosts, time travel, and just enough romance to keep it interesting. This is not a fast read, over in an hour or book. But its well worth the time needed to obsorb the details.

This is a really interesting premise of how people are assigned ghosts. I loved that idea and the idea of a paranormal school. Throw in witches and ghouls and it was a very fun story. Would be fab if there are anymore novels go find out more about the school’s history. I really enjoyed it very good fun and a unique concept.

Wow! A roller coaster of ideas and action. A school for people who can tap into ghosts, witches, time travel, mystery, history, romance, and more. The action begins on page one and never lets up. The writing is very engaging and I enjoyed getting lost in this world of magic, mayhem, and darkness.

This was an interesting, complex, and at times dark coming of age novel with plenty of paranormal elements. The story starts off with you right in the midst of a nightmare, both figuratively and literally, and doesn’t slow down from there. It did feel like we should know more about the world before diving in, with the way things are written. It took a little bit to fully parse out what was happening in chapter one, but by the time you reach chapter two, it’s a lot easier to understand and follow along. The descriptions are quite vivid, and some of them can get a bit gruesome, although not overly gorey. Overall, definitely recommend to YA or older readers.
