A great crime thriller, filled with things that are hard to explain, ghostly visits, psychics who know more than they should, murder mystery’s and the return of Brookhaven. This entire series kept me on toes, on the edge of my seat and holding my breath. I think this is a great introductory series for people wanting to read crime thrillers. It is super fast paced, filled with tension, strategically omitted truths, and secret societies.

Neve and Cons new relationship is put to the test.. again. All while fighting insane sexual tension and a desire to just get some alone time. Sent to Cork, to check in on the presidents goddaughter, con and neve are pulled back into the criminal underbelly, and this time there’s more lives at stake. Can they save the innocent lives and their own?

Honestly, what a thrilling conclusion to the things unseen series! I really enjoyed this series, and following Neve and Con on their journey. Thank you to Hot Tree Publishing & the Author for a review copy.

Dead Late is the 3rd and final book in the Things Unseen series and I was eagerly anticipating this epic conclusion and while I am sad this is the final book in the series I am looking forward to more from Anise. Though you could read this as a stand-alone, I do highly recommend reading this series in order to get to know Neve and Con and their journey, weaving in suspense, romance, secrets, danger and deceit. Con and Neve go on a much needed getaway, once to be encircled in situation that tests both of them in many ways. Choices are made...but will both Con and Neve be safe at the end....

Definitely read and find out. I was at the edge of my seat until the end! Great story!

This is the third and lastly final episode in this gripping series Things Unseen. I am sad to see the series end but look forward to more from Anise. You do not have to read them in order even though they could be read as standalones. There is too much you are missing out on if you don’t. Anise Eden gives us a psychological thriller at its best.
Dead Late is a dark psychological romantic thriller with lots of suspense and had me just as addicted to it as the first two books. This is a dangerous and deadly world our characters suddenly find themselves thrust into and broken promises made just to survive. It’s a world that goes far beyond what one can imagine, one where the reach is far and wide.
Anise has cleverly thought out and masterfully crafted a complex and intricate web of well executed threads. What is waiting for them in the dark? Whatever it is it had my heart pounding and on the edge. There are lies, deceit, danger and tension that is palpable and deadly games are being played.
Step between the pages if you dare.

I started this book knowing that my heart was breaking as it is marketed as the conclusion of the trilogy. I will tell you right now that if there was another one, I would not hesitate to get it.
I binge read these together, but you would be able to read them as standalones without being too confused. However, I absolutely think you get more out of them reading them in order.
I adore Con and Neve and have since the first book. They are an amazing power couple. They are friends before anything else and spent years building that part of their relationship. They truly have each other’s best interests at heart and want the other to be happy and healthy and feel taken care of.
That goes for the things that are important to each of them as well. They will help one another with whatever it is that either of them needs assistance in. This time, it’s to assist the President on something important to him while they are on vacation.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Anise Eden's 'Dead Late' wraps up the 'Things Unseen' trilogy with a gripping and suspenseful tale. A tale that's sure to keep readers on the edge of their seats. This complex, twist-laden plot featuring morally ambiguous characters who delve into the shadowy depths of human nature will amaze fans of psychological thrillers and romantic suspense.

"Dead Late" marks the final book in the series, and while each book works well on its own, to get the full impact of the series its best to read the books in order. Like the previous books in the series, "Dead Late" weaves a tale rich with romance, danger, and unexpected developments. After their last dangerous escapade, Neve and Cornelius decided to remain in Ireland and enjoy a long-awaited vacation.  However, there's one task they need to do, which entails checking on the goddaughter of the President of the United States. One would think this would be a simple task. However, danger is known to follow these two, so it came as no surprise when they got caught in a situation that involved human trafficking and the harvesting of organs.

Cornelius faces a potentially career-ending decision, driven solely by the desire to keep Neve safe. His efforts to protect her result in a web of secrets that inadvertently puts her in danger. This installment had me eagerly turning pages, constantly questioning how Cornelius would navigate the perilous situation. With Neve encountering dangers of her own, the story gains an additional layer of suspense and intensity. The sense of impending danger intensifies with each page, drawing the reader deeper into the story.

In "Dead Late," the connection between Neve and Cornelius is palpable. Their unwavering commitment to safeguard one another underscores the profound love they share.

The story ended on a satisfying note, which prompted a fond farewell to characters I've grown to adore. Anise Eden has once again crafted a story so captivating; it beckons one to return to its world and spend more time with its characters. Regrettably, this marks the conclusion of the 'Things Unseen' series. I eagerly anticipate more thrilling and exhilarating works from the author.

A gripping romantic suspense thriller and the conclusion of the enjoyable ‘Things Unseen’ series. Having read and enjoyed the two previous books, being back with Dr. Cornelius O'Brien and psychotherapist Neve Keane, was like meeting old friends again! Cornelius (Con) takes girlfriend Neve for a romantic break in his home country of Ireland. Before they can relax they have to do a favour for the President of the United States. Checking in on his goddaughter who’s studying in Cork was supposed to be easy, but Neve and Con find themselves in a terrifying situation.
Both Con and Neve face terrible dilemmas and must make difficult choices whilst in danger. Once again the descriptive narrative brought both the characters and the setting vividly to life, making me feel immersed in Con and Neve’s world again. I liked how their relationship developed throughout the series of books, and the chemistry between them really came across in the narrative. This action packed and fast paced story had me hooked from page one. Whilst the plot twists and the building suspense kept me reading late into the night!

This is the third book in the Things Unseen Series and after loving book 1 and 2 I knew there was no way I wouldn’t pick this one up. Anise Eden can write and she knows how to do romantic suspense/psychological suspense. I loved Dead Late. I recommend reading the series in order though to get the most enjoyment out of it. It’s not a requirement, but I really like seeing how Con and Neve’s relationship progressed throughout the books even when they were ‘under the gun’ so to speak. Not only did I love the main characters, but the secondary characters were amazing as well, not to mention the way she paints the picture in your mind of the scenery, with so much suspense, and tension, it all comes together to make for a thrilling read.

Our story returns with Dr "Con" and Neve finally going to go on a holiday after everything that's happened to spend time alone...to finally connect and feed the obvious connection they can no longer ignore, but things are never that simple

The president requests they check on his God daughter studying abroad close to where they are staying... and when they do intrigue danger and the very core of who they are will be tested. Will Con break the mantra of "do no harm" can Neve keep her promises to Con that are meant to keep her safe and are these two ever going to be able to quell the inferno of chemistry between them?
This book had me hook line and sinker. Enjoy,!

Another wowzer book! There is a lot of action, drama and suspense. These two can’t seem to go anywhere and not get into trouble. I am not sure if I would want to hang with them or not. The perks would be good but plan on a lot of trouble. They each have a wonderful quality about them that seems to add to the problems. I like each MC and they seem to slowly be growing and improving. This is always a fun series to read because it is hard to put down. This is the third in the series and can be read as a stand alone. The author does a good job explaining what has happened in the past books and how it affects this one. So no worries!

I could not put this book down! The love between Con and Neve have for one another made me sigh over and over. This was a sweeping romance with an exciting external threat. The setting of Cork City and the surrounding area thrilled me. I loved everything about this including Neve processing what is going on with her health. This is book three in the things unseen trilogy, it can be read as a standalone however for the best experience I recommend to read the other two books first.

I really enjoyed this one, the romance between Con and Neve had me swooning at times while all the jam packed action and suspense kept me turning pages!
About 75% of the way through the book I literally had goosebumps, which is a rare thing to happen. I loved the aspect of psychic readings and I was very intrigued throughout these chapters.

Dr. Cornelius O' Brien and psychotherapist Neve Keane are in a fairly new relationship when they go on a romantic vacation. On the way however, the President of the United States has asked a favor of him. It should be a quick check in with the Presidents goddaughter right? Things go sideways when they find themselves in dark and dangerous territory with no idea how they got there and no feasible way out. They both are faced with decisions that break promises made while trying to keep others safe from harm. Will they both make it out safely and stay together?

Dead Late is the last of the three books series. Dr Con and his girlfriend Neve are going to Ireland on a romantic getaway. But first the president of the United States has a small favor, check on his goddaughter. Things take a wild turn and Con and Neve both must make difficult decisions
So much for romance. I’ve read other books by this author and have enjoyed them all. Good read. Full of suspense and will definitely read more books by this author

I’m sad this is the last book in this series.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every book, and this final book was yet another dark, suspense filled read.

Con takes Neve to his hometown, Cork for a romantic break. Only danger has followed them on their trip, and nothing seems to go to plan. Can they get themselves out of the trouble they find themselves in?

A great ending to this series!! These books can be read as standalones and you'll find yourself wanting to read them all. There is so much excitement and drama in this one that it will keep you engaged from start to finish. The threats facing Con and Neve are more intense than ever and the mystery will have you second guessing your theories.

I look forward to more from Ms. Eden!

Anise Eden delivers a stunning conclusion to the Things Unseen series with Dead Late, a romantic thriller that combines gripping suspense, emotional depth, and a morally charged narrative. Fans of the series will find this finale both satisfying and utterly absorbing, as Dr. Cornelius O’Brien and psychotherapist Neve Keane face their most dangerous challenge yet.

Set against the evocative backdrop of Ireland, Dead Late wastes no time plunging its protagonists into a web of intrigue. What begins as a seemingly simple favor for the President—a routine welfare check on his goddaughter studying abroad—quickly spirals into a dark, harrowing journey. Eden masterfully escalates the tension, revealing layers of corruption, human suffering, and clandestine forces working against Cornelius and Neve at every turn.

The moral dilemmas at the heart of the story set this thriller apart. Cornelius, a healer bound by the Hippocratic Oath, is forced to confront the unthinkable: compromise his principles or endanger the woman he loves. Neve, meanwhile, must navigate her own internal conflict, balancing loyalty to Cornelius with her fierce desire to protect an innocent young woman. These dilemmas give the book emotional heft and invite readers to consider what they would do in similar situations.

The chemistry between Cornelius and Neve remains a highlight of the series. Their relationship, already tested in earlier books, reaches new depths as they face life-or-death stakes together. Eden’s portrayal of their bond is tender, resilient, and realistic, providing moments of solace amid the relentless tension. Neve’s growth as a character, from a cautious professional to a courageous and decisive force, is particularly compelling.

Eden’s writing is vivid and atmospheric, capturing the beauty and mystery of Ireland while also immersing readers in the story’s darker elements. The pacing is relentless, with each chapter pulling the reader further into the heart of the mystery. The twists and revelations are both shocking and satisfying, culminating in a climactic ending that ties together the series’ overarching themes of love, trust, and the fight against injustice.

Dead Late is not just a thriller—it’s a powerful exploration of the choices we make when faced with impossible odds. Anise Eden has crafted a conclusion that will leave readers breathless and deeply moved, solidifying the Things Unseen series as a standout in the romantic thriller genre. Whether you’ve followed Neve and Cornelius from the beginning or are diving in for the first time, this book is a must-read. Highly recommended.

This was absolutely an action packed, thrilling ride! The last in the series and yet the first one read by me. It can definitely be read as a stand alone book and I love spoilers so I will get onto reading the first 2 books asap. The inclusion of a psychic medium, special agents, presidents, gardai's and skateboarding do-gooders, makes for some interesting reading!

Neve and Con were fantastic characters. The kind that don't make you roll your eyes as there is something obvious they should have thought of by now. It is very obvious that they care for each other deeply and respect each other. They should work out secret signals or something as although they don't actually work in the same team or are a crime fighting duo, they sure find themselves in those situations over the 3 books. They are very human although there is something 'Willis' about Con, the way he repeatedly gets hurt but keeps popping back up to save the day.

I think its amazing to be able to write action adventure stories like you would see on TV and get the parts written so you can see them in your head exactly like they would be acted out. A talent indeed and one that Anise Eden definitely possesses. I loved the pace of the book and how so much was covered in a book under 300 pages. The writing flowed really well and the calmer moments with lots of conversation were really good as well.

I'd like to thank Hot tree Publishing and Anise Eden for allowing me the chance to read this ARC and the first 2 in the series as well.

This is the 3rd and final book in the Things Unseen series. Even though it is the last book you can read them as standalone. However I think once you read one you will want to read the rest.
This is another psychological thriller that is filled with romance, danger, lies and twists and turns you don't see coming. This author does an incredible job of weaving a story that keeps the reader gripped and turning pages.

We are back with Doctor Con O’Brien and Psychotherapist Neve Keane. They are visiting Ireland for a romantic getaway, however when the President of the United States asks them to check on his goddaughter they can't say no.
It's only going to be a simple task anyway right?
How wrong could they be. Now they find themselves heading into something dark and dangerous with no idea how they got there and no idea of how they can get back out of it. Both of them need to face decisions which will break promises and and oath while trying to save other people from danger and harm.

I am sad that this is the last book as I have enjoyed reading them . The stories are captivating and as a reader I was kept on the edge of my seat. The plot wasn't easy to figure out which made the story even better for me as I couldn't work out what was going to happen next or how it would end.

I am not sure how I feel the way it ended but I give this book 4 stars.

Dead Late is the Third and final book in the Things Unseen series. It is a romantic psychological thriller full of mystery, intrigue action, adventure, danger, suspense, drama, romance, lies, and deception. The story centers around Psychotherapist Neve Keane and Doctor Con O'Brien who have set off on what is supposed to be a romantic trip together to Ireland. Before they can have any hope of relaxing, they must first do a favor for the President of the United States who wants them to check-in on his goddaughter who is studying in Cork. However, things take a complicated turn and suddenly they are thrust into a terrifying situation where they are faced with making some difficult choices. Our beloved characters are thrown into a world full of danger in which they are put to the ultimate test and difficult choices will have to be made. This was a brilliantly written story full of pulse pounding suspense that leaves you reading to see if the characters can get out of this mess and come out the other side. The descriptive writing will have you fully immersed in the story along with Neve and Con and make you feel like you are right there amidst the danger that is lurking just around the corner at every turn.

Dead Late (Things Unseen Series) by Anise Eden. This is such a good fast paced romantic suspense series. This is the 3rd book and can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading them in order to get a better feel for the characters and story. In this book Dr. Cornelius O'Brien is taking his girlfriend Neve, a psychotherapist to his homeland of Ireland for a little business and a lot of pleasure. The only catch is Cornelius has promised the President of the United States that he will do a favor for him while he's there. No big deal right! The favor is to check on his God daughter who is studying there and make sure she is doing alright. When they go to check on her at Cork they find themselves in a horrible situation. There is so many horrifying things happening and if they don't watch out they will be the next victims. Will they be able to safely find the President's God daughter and keep her safe while also being safe themselves? This fast paced story will keep you flipping pages as fast as you can. The romance is still going strong between the Dr and Neve and I love their relationship! Can't wait for the next book!

Dead Late is the third and final book in the Things Unseen series by Anise Eden. It is another well-woven and tense, romantic psychological thriller with mystery, action, adventure, intrigue, gripping developments, drama, and more.
Doctor Con O’Brien and Psychotherapist Neve Keane are supposed to be on a romantic trip to Ireland but a request from the President to check in on his goddaughter turns their trip in an incredibly dangerous direction- leaving Con and Neve in perilous situation with some very difficult choices. What ensues made for an intense reading session that had me flipping the pages, where I soon became completely immersed in the story and lost all sense of time and place, following the gripping adventure and staying up well past my bedtime because I couldn’t put it down until I had read every word. To me, that is a sign of a great book.
As expected from Ms. Eden, this final instalment in the series doesn’t disappoint, and even though the other instalments have been fantastic- I think she definitely saved the best till last.
Now I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next.
Happy reading!

Thank you, Anise Eden!

The conclusion of this captivating trilogy is nothing short of exhilarating, leaving the door open for further adventures that fans will eagerly anticipate. The growth of Neve and Con throughout the series is remarkable; their journey, though compressed into a short timeframe, feels expansive and richly developed. One of the most compelling aspects of this final installment is the couple's unwavering commitment to each other. Their relentless fight for their relationship culminates in gratifying results, making the emotional stakes all the more poignant. The plot is filled with unexpected twists and turns that keep readers guessing at every turn, making it nearly impossible to put the book down. I was thoroughly engaged from start to finish, and the satisfying ending left me both delighted and hopeful for the future. It’s clear that Neve and Con deserve more thrilling escapades, and I sincerely hope this isn’t the last we see of them. This series is a must-read for those who appreciate dynamic characters and a well-crafted narrative.

Throughout this romantic suspense series we’ve been seeing things of the supernatural/paranormal woven in. This book was no different. The take this book had was in the psychic arena. Now, I don’t agree entirely with how things went down. Do I think some psychics can get info? Yes. Do I think they are actually talking to and seeing the dead? No. I would say they are talking to demons who may take on the looks of specific people but aren’t them. And, I definitely don’t think they’d do and say anything out of a desire to help humanity whether physically or emotionally. So, that part was a bit flat for me. However, a good web was woven for our mains that ties back into the first book in this series. There was suspense and violence and romance (a romance continued through the series). This book takes place in Ireland, which is cool. The romance was closed door but I didn’t know that until the book was over that it would be that way as there is definitely suggestion and promises. There were a few pieces of language at times.

Dead Late (Things Unseen Series) by Anise Eden is a great romance thriller series

For a romantic vacation, Dr. Cornelius O'Brien took his new girlfriend, psychologist Neve Keane, to his native Ireland. Performing a personal favor for the President of the United States is the only thing they must do initially. It is meant to be easy. Check in on his goddaughter, who is in Cork City studying abroad. However, Neve and Cornelius are slipping with every step they take, and eventually they are plunging permanently down a hideous and horrifying abyss of human agony. Now that he is imprisoned by evil forces from which he cannot free himself, Cornelius is forced to make the horrible decision to either break the Hippocratic oath or endanger Neve.

Every page was exciting and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. The story really brings passion into your life. I couldn’t put the book down.

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up. I enjoy their writing skills where their ability to make the characters come to life makes the story easy to read. This is a story that is no different. It is a well written story that is full of suspense and hard to put down. Cornelius is taking his girlfriend for a get away. But before they enjoy their getaway, he needs to make one stop to check on his god daughter. The clock is ticking and he needs to make a decision, save a young woman or keep his promise. I enjoyed the characters in this book. They are connectable and will pull you into the story from the start. I enjoyed what they added to the story as well as their growth throughout. This is fast paced, easy and entertaining to read. I really enjoyed this book and it just might be one of my favorites. I highly recommend this book.

This book is in a series, however it can be read as a stand alone. It does reference previous “bad guys,” but not knowing their story, doesn’t take away from this book. Neve Keane and her boyfriend, Con, are in Cork City to check in on the President’s goddaughter, Kayla. Kayla saw an apparition that she believes was a message to her, but her family is worried that she is mentally ill. Con and Never never imagined that this could lead them to dangerous people and that their own lives could be in danger. The suspense of the story kept me engaged and wanting to find out what happened. Con and Neve talk a lot, maybe a bit too much, about finally getting to be physical, but there was humor there as well. Overall, a good book with good characters and an enjoyable read.

This book is the third in the series and is a great addition. I would recommend reading this series in order for full enjoyment as it develops the characters as the series goes on. As with the other books, everything seems to go wrong for the characters in this one. What started off as a supposedly nice time away for them quickly turned into something neither of them expected.
I thought the story was well written and very intriguing. I wasn’t sure how this might turn out but I enjoyed going along on the journey to find out. I enjoyed getting to know more about these characters as well. With each book I feel like we find out something new about them. This a great series and I am looking forward to the next book.

With this being the last book in the Things Unseen series, I had many concerns if it would live up to the first two. I had nothing to worry about as the author did a phenomenal job creating yet another blend of romance and suspense. It is possible to read this as a standalone, but I recommend reading the previous two books in order to appreciate the world that the author weaved together. The characters are well-developed, and the plot is solid without any gaps or questions from me. The author has made their way into my automatic buy list with this series because it is mind-blowingly good. If you’re a fan of suspenseful thrillers that contain a mix of romance and danger, do yourself a favor and pick this book (and series) up today!

Anise Eden's DEAD LATE is a romantic suspense tour de force. If there's one thing Eden knows how to do, it's how to put her characters into desperate situations, while reassuring the reader that love will win out in the end. As far as Neve and Con go, that love is a fierce one, and we love to see them fall even more deeply with this third installment of the series. With engaging secondary characters, despicable villains and memorable Irish settings, DEAD LATE will make its way onto many a 'favourite shelf.' I thoroughly enjoyed the romance, the drama and the journey to 'happily ever after.'
(Note: I am friends with the author, but I have provided this review willingly and truthfully.)
