The Wolf's Prisoner

Rate this book
A wolf kidnapped me and then rejected me as his mate because I’m just a human.

I shouldn’t care, because I never wanted to become a wolf’s mate.

But I’m trapped here with him and everyday I’m reminded of what I could have been.

And despite myself, our forced togetherness is making my body tingle.

He treats me like a prisoner and commands me to follow the rules.

Those rules include no running off, no asking questions, and obeying him no matter what.

I know I need to get myself the hell out of this place.

But the problem is that a dark, hidden part of me wants to stay right here with him.

He says we’re fated mates yet rejects me.

He says he needs to claim me but doesn’t want to.

Yet when I look into his eyes, I can see what his primal wolf really wants.

It wants to give into our mating bond and satisfy itself with me.

Will he listen to his wolf’s desire?

Basic plot: While camping, Tallulah is kidnapped by a werewolf who needs her bond to challenge the alpha.

This was objectively terrible. The author misuses words, often using words incorrectly by mistaking their meaning or how to use them grammatically. Overuse of strange adverbs and adjectives doesn't help the situation. The plot was thin and the worldbuilding nonexistent. The MMC was an asshole, and the FMC could have been replaced by a moist towelette because she had no agency at all in this book. I kept hoping even one of them would redeem themselves, but no.

This was a really fast and easy read, and I really enjoyed it. There could be more back story, but for me the back story we were given was enough for me. I liked how it's kind of enemies to lovers, but more strangers to lovers. I liked this books so much that I read it in one sitting.
