Two ex-best friends put aside their eight year silent streak to join forces and reopen their small town's local cookie shop in this swoony romance story set during the town’s annual Christmas Festival.
Noah Callahan never expected to return to Evergreen Lake. Eight years ago, he vowed to leave behind the people who treated him poorly, until he finds out Ginger, his pseudo-grandma, passed away and left him her cookie shop. Forced to face his delinquent high school past and troubles with the shop, he wonders if returning was a mistake. Unwilling to let Ginger down, a Christmas miracle is going to be the only thing to help him open the shop in time for the holidays.
Violet Emerson thought she had it all – until she lost her career and boyfriend on the same day. Now Violet’s home and living in her childhood bedroom, unsure of what comes next. When she unexpectedly runs into Noah, her childhood crush and ex-best friend, at the local dive bar, she realizes they might be able to help each other survive until the New Year.
Determined to put aside any anger toward Noah, Violet offers to help him open the shop and show the town that he’s not the criminal they think he is. The only question is – can she spend time with him again without her old feelings coming to the surface?

I do not care what Kayla writes, I’m always going to read it. She does such a phenomenal job at character building and writing relatable storylines! Sprinkle All The Way was such a sweet friends to lovers Christmas story! I loved the town so much! I could picture everything about the town and the festival. I love Violet and Noah. They were adorable! I loved seeing their relationship evolve but also getting their backstory as teenagers! Ginger and her letters were the sweetest thing and I loved how much she and Violet believed in Noah! 🥹🥹 You should definitely add Sprinkle All The Way to your holiday tbr, you won’t be disappointed.
I’m excited to continue the Evergreen Lake collection this holiday season!
Highlights: 🎄Small town 🍪Second chance romance 🎄Part of a holiday collection 🍪Ex-friends to lovers 🎄Sentimental tattoos 🍪Opposites attract
This was so heart warming and cute! I’m such a sucker for boy next door / best friends to lovers 😭❤️ the tattoos, the cookies, and the blanket fort. WHOLESOME! Loved Vi and Noah!
This was such a treat from Kayla and will put you in the holiday spirit! This was such a fun story about our main characters Violet and Noah who were once best friends in high school despite Noah having a “bad boy” image. Violet and Noah lost touch after she went away for college but she’s back in their small town after a recent long-term break up and losing her job. Noah has inherited a cookie shop from a maternal figure in his life and his reputation has the town shunning him, making him think her legacy won’t ever come back to life.
There’s so much pining and humor throughout this book! These two have sentimental stick-and-poke tattoos and it seriously was so precious how they both held a candle for one another despite the distance over the years.
The town is so nosy and I loved it! It had all the small town feels with a holiday spin including a town festival, Christmas tree lighting ceremony, and there were so many holiday cookies I was salivating!! If you’re a sweets lover, this is for you! Gingersnap, peppermint & obviously the classic chocolate chip!
I also loved all of Ginger’s letters left for Noah! She was so sweet and caring for him even beyond the grave!
This is a perfect novella for the holiday season if you love: -friends to lovers -second chance -mutual pining -small town -opposites attract
Can’t wait for whatever Kayla comes out with next!
Returning to her hometown of Evergreen Lake just before Thanksgiving after a failed relationship and a job loss, Violet is melancholy and concerned with figuring out her next move. When she’s unloading her things into her old bedroom, she notices that the boy who was her best friend is still next door and she’s still completely enamored with him.
Misunderstood and the recipient of a bakery and home left to him by an eccentric who was a surrogate grandmother to him, Noah is struggling to find employees to help him reopen the shop. When Violet offers herself as his right hand person for the opening preparations, he skeptically agrees.
As they work together to open the bakery before Christmas, their interest in each other becomes much more than work related. Can they work AND play together in harmony?
This was a sweet, mild-spice novel that is easy to read and great for a pre-holiday escape.
I received an advance reader copy from the author and bookfunnel, and I’m sharing my honest thoughts.

How I feel about the Book: 🍪⛄️❄️🐈⬛
Oh, em GEEEEEE. I know we are just falling into fall, but I am such a sucker for Christmas Romances. That small-town vibe that has plenty of small-town drama.
We start with Violet, who is down on her luck and gets pushed back home. She's that pretty typical independent girl who just wants to keep moving forward no matter what happens in life. Then there is Noah, the resident bad boy, who sweeps us off our feet as he's trying to just move on from his past. No one wants to give him a break, though. One cookie shop and a whole lot of drama later we finish this amazing short story that author Kayla Martin gives us. The romance, the build-up, and the overall love makes me fall in love with this book.
Not only do we get 1 book in the Evergreen Lake Series, but we get 9!!! 9 different books by 9 different authors all existing in the same universe. I am so excited to read all of these.
AHHHHH! Truly, i adore Kayla’s writing - it’s fun, the banter is top tier and the characters are SO likable.
Sprinkle all the Way is the perfect combination of Christmas goodness mixed with small town drama! The people in the town gave me Gilmore Girls vibes. I absolutely ate every page of this up and truly wished it was longer because i wasn’t ready to leave Violet and Noah!
If you’re looking for a more lighthearted, flirty, uplifting Christmas romance this is absolutely going to be a winner for you! It’s giving small town romance, it’s always been you, friends to ex friends to lovers and the fact that we’re taking place in a cookie shop is just my favorite.
THE LETTERS FROM GINGER 🥹🥹🥹🥹 The letters were such a fun extra piece that i absolutely loved about this! A wedding / baby one at the end would have been fun, but i wasn’t upset it wasn’t there.
THERE WASN’T A THIRD ACT BREAKUP AND WE LOVE THAT! 👏🏼
Absolutely pick this up! You won’t be disappointed.
Thank you to Kayla Martin for giving me the opportunity to arc read her upcoming novel Sprinkle all the way. Ever since her debut I have been dying to read more of hers and SATW is as sweet as steamy as I am used of her. The fact that I am not a great holiday (except for Halloween) lover yet still LOVED this book says enough.
Small synopsis:
Violet Emerson loses her job and her steady boyfriend on the same day and decides to go lick her wounds at her parents’ house. When she unexpectedly runs into Noah Callahan, her former next door neighbour and childhood crush and he tells her that he came back because Ginger, his pseudo grandma left him her cookie shop in town, an idea forms in Violet’s mind. She then offers to help him open his shop but can they work together without those pesky feelings for one another coming back to haunt them?

Two ex-best friends have the chance to reconnect while both finding themselves back in their small little hometown for the holidays. Putting their past aside, Violet assists Noah at his inherited bakery-their story told in first person, dual POV is full of sweet and spicy moments! Tattoos, forts, cookies, tension and build-up…all moments connect for a heartwarming romance read. I literally felt like I could walk outside and experience the characters, setting and plot because of my own small town life and experiences. I love that this is part of a series of nine holiday books by different authors all set in the small town of Evergreen Lake. Thanks to the author for the gifted early ebook.
What a beautiful Novella! I really enjoyed this book and I enjoyed the wholesomeness of this story and the characters. It definitely helped me feel all Christmassy and got me in all my feels with how deep developed the characters were. I have never knew about this series and I am now thinking that this is such a sweet wholehearted series I could get into from time to time. Thank you so much to to Kayla Martin for the arc copy. This was such an honour to be part of something great. I am excited to read the next book from Kayla!
This was a great holiday romance! Noah and Violet were so perfect together and I loved watching their relationship grow throughout the story! This book was exactly what I expected from Kayla- sweet, swoony, & spicy!
Evergreen Lake felt like the perfect setting for this story and I’m excited to read some of the other stories so in this universe!
🎄 former best friends to lovers 🎄 small town romance 🎄 secret tattoos! 🎄 holiday romance 🎄 “it’s always been you” 🎄 pining & tension

Oh my heart. What the perfect holiday novella to get me in the mood as we move into holiday season. This book was like a warm hug. Thank you Kayla Martin for the eARC!
Kayla Martin does it again! What’s not to love about the boy next door and childhood best friends to lovers trope? And mixed in with Christmas? Sign me up. I’m obsessed with Violet and Noah. Can’t wait for everyone to read this when it comes out October 10th!
This was such a cute little holiday novella! Kayla’s writing style is so fun and I was completely immersed into this story. I honestly would’ve loved a full length novel 🫶🏼
Gingers letters to Noah were so sweet, my heart was melting 🥹
I immediately liked both Noah and Violet. There's just something so likeable about alledged badboys that are actually cutiepetuties amiright?? Violet's clumsyness is just so so relatable it's offending 😂 the eyerolls, the cute teasing flirty way they behave with each other, I loved it, so funny. The ex-BFF's who secretely love eachother vibe was very well done and realistic. I was in the story from chapter 1, I love it when when that happens! It's an easy lovely read that made my heart jump and crave winter! Loved it, thanks for letting me ARC-read!
the problem with novellas is that they are short and i’m a slow burn girly til i die. i did like them tho. ginger carried from beyond the grave (rip to a real one)
This book definitely skyrocketed me into the holiday mood!
Noah was like a cookie hardened exterior, but ooey gooey center. His want of just being accepted by the town broke my heart.
Violet was destined to return home! I loved how she wasn’t willing to let Noah give up and how she was able to find her true self again.
This novella is perfect for the holiday season and I can’t wait to read more of the Evergreen Lake Series which features a variety of authors and their holiday novellas!
Thank you Kayla Martin for an arc of this adorable holiday read. 🎄
we loooove yearning i just honestly wish it was a little longer bc i really enjoyed them! now i want cookies (upon further review this got bumped from a 3.5 to a 4)
What a cozy holiday read for my first ARC! To start, the dedication had me rolling! Like the cookies the MMC bakes, this book had all the right ingredients: ex-best friends (who secretly love each other) reuniting, a small holiday town at Christmas that gives Stars Hollow vibes, and a little bit of spice!! With some tweaks to character development and style, this already good book would be even better! I look forward to watching this writer continue to grow!

violet and noah actually have my heart 🥹 i love a good christmas book and the writing of sprinkle all the way made me wish this wasn’t just a novella! i definitely felt that gingerbreads’ magic as i read. violet is bold and full of love and her and noah are perfect for each other. i loved going on their journey and the scream i scrumpt when they finally got together!!! i love them so bad it’s an obsession. and noah, whatta man!!! 😮💨 he is so fine and i was giggling and kicking my feet at everything he said. overall, this was such a cute and fun read. thank you so much to kayla for the arc!!
the perfect christmas novella!! I absolutely loved it and can't wait for you guys to be able to read it too! Thank you Kayla for letting me beta read!💜
Sprinkle All The Way is the second in a series of holiday novellas by 9 different authors.
Only Kayla could make me read a Christmas book during spooky season. 🥹
Violet and Noah are freaking adorable. I loved their backstory and how they worked together…they just fit so perfectly…like cookie cutters and cookie dough. They give off total Dawson and Joey vibes, but not whiny Dawson…just their deep friendship and connection. This book will make you want to curl up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate. It’s better than a Hallmark movie and you can’t deny that you don’t love a good Hallmark movie. None of us can 😂
As always, Kayla’s writing gets a 10/10 from me. I love how she describes everything to where you feel like you’re a part of the story. It’s a quick and easy read with short chapters and all of the cuteness ✨sprinkled✨ in from start to finish.
I can’t wait to continue my Evergreen Lake journey this holiday season!
But, seriously if you love…
-holiday romance -small town romance -second chance romance -ex-friends to lovers -opposites attract -dual POV -christmas festivals -local cookie shops -sentimental tattoos -open door spice
…you should add Sprinkle All The Way to your holiday TBR immediately.
⚠️WARNING: THIS BOOK WILL MAKE YOU WANT TO EAT A THOUSAND COOKIES WHILE READING⚠️

People I'm a sucker for all things Noah (and Violet - but let's face it, mostly Noah. Insert tattooed cookie baking, forearm flexing p**n.) I read through this and could have sworn it was an overly detailed novella until I looked at the page count. Mind blown. I'm not usually that fast of a reader but I tore through "Sprinkle All the Way" in record time, it was that much of a joy to read. If you are a childhood unrequited love, 2nd chance type of girly (or man, elf) this is the perfect holiday read for you. (Bonus when you fall in love with Evergreen Lake there are a ton of other books to help you maintain that holiday town fix).
What to expect: childhood secret best friends, good girl x bad boy, holiday romance, he bakes cookies, both are back home, he used to climb in her window (Dawson's Creek vibes anyone?), open door steam with a dicktionary, forced proximity, only one bed in a snow storm etc.
TW/CW: death of a loved one discussed (inciting incident), troubled childhood home discussed (fighting parents).
3/5 steam 5/5 stars
Thank you to the lovely Kayla Martin for an eARC. I promise the review is my own and not written under any duress.
This book definitely gave me Hallmark movie vibes but with ✨spice✨. It's a quick, cute, and cozy holiday read that made me excited for Christmas months ahead of time. Noah and Violet were the perfect amount of cute. I love that they were able to rekindle their friendship which then lead to their relationship.
I love that Noah is in touch with his emotions and he's not afraid to feel them and to cry. I dislike that it takes him a while before he realizes he doesn't need to run from Violet when he feels overwhelmed or like he's not good enough. I love that Violet believes in Noah so fiercely and doesn't give up on him when he struggles to believe in himself. I dislike the miscommunication trope which had them both doubting the other has feelings or ever had feelings. But in the end it had a HAE and it had me in my feels, especially the letter from Ginger. 4/5 ⭐
This was a wonderful Christmas costume romance with characters you want to wrap in a warm hug. Being thrown back into what is thought of as his worst nightmare, Noah tries to restart the town's beloved cookie shop. His best childhood friend, Violet, is there to help however she can. Seems her business sense isn't the only help Noah needs. Evergreen Lake is known for holding a grudge against people, and being a gossip mill (yeah, small town where everyone's nose is in their neighbor's business😉). Noah did a bit of acting out in high-school and the townies don't plan to let him forget it. Violet, though, knows who him, and knows how worthy he is. Can she help Noah see his own value, and show Evergreen Lake just who Noah Phillip Callahan really is before he throes in the towel?
I loved these main characters, their banter, and their chemistry. The pacing and plot of the story were great abd I can't wait to read more from this author. This book was a gift copy that I voluntarily reviewed.
This is the only way second chance x friends to lovers x it's always been you trope will ever work for me. Noah and Violet, i fucking love you both!
H/h are ex best friends who haven't spoken to each other in 8 years ever since he moved out of their small town. Now he's back after inheriting a local cookie shop and she helps him with it. They find their way back to each other slowly while baking cookies, enjoying holiday cheer, adopting a cat and warding off gossipy locals. I don't want to give more spoilers, cause this one is truly worth a read!
[In terms of safety, she returns after her bf breaks up with her and there's a brief mention of it. No ow drama and he's not a hoe. Both non virgins and they have eyes only for each other. A 2/5 spice on page and do check for tw(s) Epilogue ends with them 6.5 years later with a kid and another baby on the way]

Sprinkle All the Way follows Noah and Violet, who were best friends growing up but haven’t seen each other in eight years. Now Viloet is back in town after losing her job and an unexpected breakup with her boyfriend. Noah is back in town because Ginger, who was like a grandmother to him, left him her bakery. Noah has earned a bad reputation in the town, and no one wants to work for him or go to the bakery. Now that Violet is back in town, she helps Noah run the bakery. As the two reconnect, they realise they might be more than friends.
This was a cute Christmas novella. I did not know when I picked this up that this was part of a series. I have not read the other books, and to be honest, I don’t think I will. (Not for any mean reason, I just have so many Christmas books I want to read before the season is over. Maybe I will next year.) After looking it up, I think each book can be read as a standalone. Nothing really stood out to me with this book. It's a typical friends-to-lovers small-town Christmas book. I still enjoyed it, though
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I never thought I would love this book sooooo much. This took me out of my reading slump. It kept me up all night and I read it in one sitting. The story revolves around Noah and Violet who are ex-friends and after 8 years they find their way back to each other. It is filled with adorable scenes and it is such a comfort book for me now!! This book took me in their world of Evergreen Lake and Christmas 🤌🏻💖 I loved how they both bonded with each other, understanding the other one without much or any explanations, THEY ARE JUST SUPER CUTE TOGETHER 🥹🥹🩷 I literally wanna talk about each and every scene but i also don't wanna spoil the book. This book is now one of my favourites and i am so glad i read it!! I will definitely be posting reels with the cutesy scenes of this book after the release. Noah & Violet are literal soulmates and are meant to be with each other. I highly recommend this book!! 🎀🎀🩷
