Rate this book
Eli King returns to Rock Point, Ohio, reluctantly summoned by his father's passing and the responsibility of managing the family farm. As he grapples with the ghosts of his past, including his first love, Beth Brubaker, Eli finds himself thrust back into the harsh reality of gossip and suspicion.

Meanwhile, Beth is caught between her affection for Eli and her growing courtship with Phillip Mueller, whose animosity toward Eli threatens to tear apart the fragile peace of their Amish community. Despite Phillip's objections, Beth sees the goodness in Eli, a man whose troubled history belies his true nature.

As tensions rise, Beth is torn between the affections of her past and the uncertainty of her future. She must navigate the complexities of love and loyalty in a district where suspicions sometimes die hard.

Eli wasn't a troublemaker.

This story is based on how people will decided the entire family is guilty of the father's actions even after the father's death. They quote Biblical verses to continue to prove their point.
Will Eli and Beth ever be able to have a life together or will the people's actions and words keep them apart?

The Troublemaker

It was so sad how Eli’s family was treated by the people in his Amish community.
In the end he came out stronger than ever without having to fight back.
