There are only a few rules I live enjoy life, smile as often as possible, and don’t ever let a woman come between friends.
Oh and hockey is life.
For the past forty years I’ve done an excellent job at every single one of them.
Until Millie Hall.
To be fair, I had no idea who she was that first night. Can’t say the same about the second.
Finding out that the mystery girl who turned my world upside down was the twin sister of my star left winger and my best friend’s twenty-two year old daughter is less than ideal.
Hiding our relationship from not only her father but my brothers, nearly impossible.
But my best friend makes it incredibly difficult to walk away from his daughter when he keeps thrusting her in my direction.
As a single dad, I have a whole set of new rules, but one thing remains, falling for Millie Hall would be a major puck up.
Author’s A Major Puck Up is an angsty forbidden love between fan favorite Gavin Langfield-Coach of the Boston Bolts and Millie Hall, his best friend's daughter. With text banter from the Langfield brothers, one mysterious baby on a door step, a singing Boston Bolts hockey team, hot tub shenanigans and quite a few ducks.
Guys, he’s celibate. I know, I know, you're probably thinking, "What do you mean he's celibate? We read the epilogue in the second book and he has a kid and then started this book and find out he has the kid while they were broken up." Well, guess what? The kid isn't his! I was shocked. I was about to DNF because I was so mad. I was like, "WTF, he was sleeping with all these girls!" He kept telling his brothers he didn’t know who the mother could be, and I assumed it was because he had slept with so many women. But actually, he was saying that because he genuinely didn’t know who the mother was and he didn’t know who the father was either. Since he met Millie, he hadn't had sex with anyone else. Even during the year they weren't talking, he was celibate, so he knew the child wasn't his. But he claimed the child as his anyway because he didn't want the baby to end up in the system and he had an instant connection. There's no OWD ( if you dismiss her thinking he slept with someone during the 1 year they wearnt talking but she does find out he was celibate ) a bit of OMD and no cheating. She was also celibate

4.5 ✰ "Infinitely and endlessly yours." i was like why am i absolutely devouring it tf up even tho I'm in slump and this book is like over 500 pgs well guess what?? ⚡ THE TENSION, THE TENSION, THE DUCKING TENSION ⚡ IN EVERY GOD DAMN SCENE Heheheh Tropes: ⤷ Dad's best friend ⤷ Pro hockey coach "Me: That’s what you tell all the girls. Coach: There are no other girls, Peaches." ⤷ Forbidden ⤷ Single dad ⤷ Billionaire ⤷ Secret Baby on the doorstep ⤷ Virgin fmc ⤷ Nanny “Eyes off my nanny” ⤷ Age gap ⤷ Second chance ⤷ Found family *Out of breath* "Keep the tropes coming" ahh moment 😭🙏🏻 [Prank # 1] I didn't fully gave it 5 stars cuz the reason they break up in the first place was lowkey lame for me (i thought she couldn't get pregnant which wasn't the case) [Prank #2 ] I was also so sure that vivi (the cutest baby to ever exist) belonged to that old man (Henry) to whom Gavin was telling his story so that he can help them reunite or smth but-
I really enjoyed this! What starts as revenge becomes a love for the ages, or despite their ages, you could say.
When Millie looks to seduce her dad's Best Friend, she doesn't expect to have the best sexual experience of her life. Or, ya know.. her first one, since she's a virgin btw. But their connection is so intense and they both feel it.
But Gavin is feeling something quite different when his best friend's daughter boards his plane the next day and it's the bombshell who snuck out on him the night before. He is SO ducked. Because he doesn't know if he can ever forget her.
The way this romance unravels hurt at times. Nothing comes easy for these two except how they feel about each other. Their love is going to go through trials and I was surprised a bit by some of the angst in here. It was bittersweet a lot of times.
When we eventually meet Gavin's surprise daughter, not Millie's kid, things change big time. Now Millie is his nanny and he is fighting his feelings at every turn. Poor guy doesn't know what hit him but he does know he would do ANYTHING for his little girl and the girl who stole his heart and hasn't given it back.
I was rooting for them all and I feel like I went on quite the journey with them. This was my first book in the series and I really want to read everyone else's stories too. This was a heartwarming and beautiful romance. The suffering is worth the HEA for sure.
(The first 40% is about the past): 2 years ago when the MCs met for the first time and had a ONS before the H knew she was his best friend’s daughter. They were separated for 1 year because they couldn't be together but they are still obsessed with each other. After they met again they had a secret relationship for a few months, but the H wanted more than that with her and wanted to marry her but the h didn’t want what he wanted. They end up separated again.
(The second half is about the present): After four months of the second separation, the H became a single dad and h is his nanny and in this timeline I didn't like how the H has been an ass to the h. I liked his first version more.
(🚩I almost DNF when I thought the H wasn’t celibate during separation but thankfully the baby is not his. He didn’t know who the parents are and he claimed the baby was his so she wouldn’t end up in the system. *At some point the real father will showing up and cause some drama* Also the H pissed me off, he didn’t tell the h the truth that he wasn’t the baby’s real father and made her believe that he was with another woman at some point and got her pregnant. The truth was later revealed by his brother but I really wanted him to be the one who tells her the truth, not by someone else 😒).
- Huge age gap (18): H - 40/42 , h - 22/24 - The H is a manwhore and the h is a virgin 🙄. - No OWD. - Some OMD that made the H jealous. - No cheating. - Push from H in the second half of the book.
- Two separation:
1. Separated more than year, the h was celibate and I believe that the H was celibate too.
“Since I met Millie, I haven’t so much as thought about another woman, let alone touched one. There was a fuzzy night or two the year Millie and I didn’t speak, but I’d bet my fortune nothing happened on those nights either. And even if they did, they were during the late summer, before hockey season started. Which means Vivi isn’t mine.”
2. Separated for 4 months and they were both celibate.

Okay I just need to ask, was the author like high when she wrote this book? It has approximately 59 different tropes. It’s also a ROMANCE with 500 pages. Don’t get me wrong, the first 50% of this book - interesting, really had me like wow this is good. Then it genuinely becomes ridiculous like let’s break it down okay, ready?
She’s a virgin when she meets her dad’s BEST FRIEND. (Obviously he’s twice her age) He thinks this is a random hookup when really she actually knows who he is but she’s out for ✨revenge✨
They start a secret relationship until she realises he wants kids and then she dips bc she’s too young for kids (shocked truly)
He moved houses and then a random baby is left on his door step. He knows it’s not his but he just keeps it anyways???? I’m pretty sure that’s like a crime but sure.
then HE HIRES TO BE THE KIDS NANNY. HER. NANNY.
They decide to get back together obviously (but after they’re both sick and take care of each other)
He FINALLY tells her dad and he loses his mind even tho he’s married to someone 22 years younger than him????
AND THEN she gets into a car accident w his favourite car that he’s never even mentioned before that moment. I mean be so for real right now what the heck was this plot.
The next chapter tho the dad is chill about the relationship and everyone gets their HEA so that couldn’t have been more anticlimactic and over the top at the same time if the author tried.
Let’s also just talk about how this author so badly wants to interconnect all her series but it’s irrelevant to the entire plot. Like they took a visit to the zoo to meet Avery but that added ZERO to the story??? Like why did no BETA or publisher think that was dumb and remove it. So fucking stupid.
I wanted to like this truly I did, but I now know I was right in my decision to DNF the first book of this series all those months ago.

4.5⭐️ This is my first book by this author and so I’ll write this review from the perspective of someone who read it as completely standalone. I want to offer this because I think this book is exceptionally strong on its own, even though I’m sure it could be even better if read as part of the series.
There were definitely a lot of characters to catch up on and while I realize there’s a whole backstory that I was missing, I felt like every character was written in this story that I got the essence of who they were, even if I don’t have their history.
With that said, the story of Gavin and Millie, hockey team owner-turned-coach and his best friend‘s (adult) daughter, was such an amazing story. It was written in way that kept me turning the page, including using a really unique device in having Gavin tell a stranger on a park bench his past history with Millie to get us all caught up. I actually really enjoyed that so much.
As for their love story itself, it was so detailed and full of nuance that I felt like I lived a lifetime reading their story, in the best way possible. From their first encounter, which was super hot by the way, to Aruba to Paris and everything in between and since, every moment was so vivid, it jumped off the page.
Once we add in the storyline around Vivi, an adorable little baby who turns Gavin into a single dad overnight, all bets were off! It was amazing to see his transformation as a man and a dad, and to see their transformation as a couple once Millie came back into Gavin‘s life as his nanny. I won’t lie, there were moments that were frustrating due to miscommunication or stubbornness on one or both of their parts, but I also think that frustration is why this story was as great as it was.
And the resolution in the final act of this book was so heartwarming and adorable, I can barely stand it. We typically know our characters will get a happily ever after and I think the way Brittanee did this one was absolutely perfect.
I’m so glad I got to read this story and thank the author for the opportunity to read this ARC! I’ll be going back and reading her other stories ASAP!
I love a good single dad story. I love a best friend's daughter story. I love the big grumpy guy melting when his woman loves his little girl. But oh my god this was so fu**ing bad. Like wow. I disliked Millie, I disliked Gavin (which was devastating because I was stoked for this book.) But after finishing the spice at the beginning (only like 20%-30%) the rest of it was a slog. Sure Millie is young, but she seemed it. She didn't have anything going for her in my opinion and even though Gavin also annoyed me I just didn't think he deserved any of her drama. Good spice for sure, if you want that go for it. But the characters seemed so much less mature than other things I've read with similar tropes.
4.25 ⭐️!! When a baby lands on the hockey coach’s door step and he becomes a single father… but then his best friends daughter becomes his nanny (and they have history together) 🤭
This was such a refreshing hockey romance! It was so unique and different and I LOVED it!! I really haven’t stopped thinking about it since I read it!
Gavin was EVERYTHING! And Millie was such a great heroine!! And when they both got together omg 🔥 the spice was insane!
The angst, longing and tension was amazing! This has the perfect amount of drama and angst.
Gavin hooks up with a random girl & thinks he found his soulmate until discovers that she is his best friends daughter. After a whirlwind secret romance, Gavin & Millie unfortunately breakup, which is when Gavin finds a random baby on his doorstep with a note saying that he’s the father…
Whew!😮💨 This book was SO amazing & my fave Brittanee Nicole book thus far! If you’re looking for a super spicy book that’s equal parts romance/spice & plot, this is the book for you! I really enjoyed the way this book was set up, with Gavin recounting his relationship in a conversational storytelling style, & then jumping to the present day when he becomes a dad. I also loved how unconventional & unique the “single dad” storyline was (won’t say much to not spoil🤭). SO much happened yet nothing felt rushed, & the pacing was perfect👏🏼 I was blushing, sweating, laughing out loud, panting, smiling- you name it. Love love LOVED it🩵
Millie was such a fun character. She was confident in what she wanted (Gavin) & fought for it. She was a little devious, bratty, sassy & cheeky but in the most fun way. The way she immediately stepped up to help care for & love Gavin’s daughter despite believing that he had cheated on her by impregnating another woman was amazing🥹 I really did not expect Gavin to have me in such a chokehold but damn😔 He was so gentle yet downright obsessed with Millie. As soon as he found Vivi on his doorstep he jumped into daddy mode & became the biggest, most devoted dad- I was losing my mind & giggling furiously. & he annotated parenting books!?🛐
Millie & Gavin were HOT & electric together. There was crazy tension, chemistry, hot passion, angst, fantastic relationship development, & jealousy. Their forbidden relationship & sneaking around had me on the edge of my seat. They were so fun & wholesome, & I loved watching them build a family together🥹🩵
𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞: hockey coach, best friends daughter, age gap, forbidden romance, single dad x nanny, romcom, second chance
Thank you to The author agency & Brittanée for the arc🥰
please note that the trigger warnings and topes/themes may contain spoilers I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. HEA: yes POV: dual 1st person POV spice: several open-door spicy scenes TWs: cheating (not MCs), abandoned baby standalone: book 3 in The Revenge Games series (CAN be read as a standalone, but recommended to read the series to get background for characters) final thoughts: this is easily one of my top contemporary romances. Gavin is the ultimate book boyfriend, and I didn’t want their story to end! The pining. The angst. The forbidden of it all was so good. I love how absolutely obsessed Gavin is with Millie and wants to scream it from the rooftops. His dirty talk, possessive thoughts, and sweet (and filthy) actions had me swooning the whole time. Also shout out to all the Taylor Swift references throughout this book (and the rest of the series)! I now can’t wait to go and read everything Brittanee Nicole has ever written
read this book if you love

I really loved the way brittanee set up the flashbacks of how Gavin and Millie first met and came to be. Such a unique way of doing them that didn’t feel jerky or unnatural.
There were so many twists, and although this is a longer book for a sports romance, it didn’t feel that way. There was constantly something going on that kept my attention.
Gavin was so swoon worthy and the way he took care of Millie was so sweet. The moment he realized who she was made my whole body break into goosebumps. There were so many tension filled and angsty moments throughout, especially when Gavin became a dad.
I loved watching Millie’s growth as well throughout the story. She definitely had some growing up to do, and seeing the payoff of that was so sweet.
Brittanee’s spice is always top tier and this was no exception! She brought a lot of fun banter and other elements into their sexual relationship and getting to see Millie unleash her inner goddess was *chefs kiss*!
I thought the situation with her mom and brother seemed unfinished, and left me confused, and it didn’t seem entirely necessary to the plot.
Thank you so much to the author agency and brittanee Nicole for the early arc in exchange for my honest opinion! 🖤
This book! Ah I loved it so much. It was such an easy read and those Langfield brothers are just something else. I love this universe, Brittanée’s writing, the banter! It’s all so good!
Gavin and Millie begin a whirlwind romance, keeping the secret from their families. Their romance is forbidden; she being 18 years his junior AND her dad is Gavin’s best friend. The first part of this book was SO hot. I never knew a few words would hurt my heart so much 😩😩😩😅😅😅
I enjoyed the way Gavin was telling his story to his bench mate at the park. And when that sweet wee baby turned up, Gavin was ALL IN! Like no doubt, no qualms about taking baby Vivi. I loved how Millie came back in to Gavin’s life to help him with Vivi, also. Her personal growth during this book was so good!
I had wished there had been a little more drama and a little more spice after the conflict resolution BUT overall I really enjoyed this and I cannot wait for Aiden’s book!
Absolutely not… DNF-55% I’m sorry but how old are these characters, the immaturity is cringe worthy, these grown ass men don’t have a clue! Also who finds a baby on their doorstep, knows said baby is not theirs and decides to take it in no questions doesn’t report it to anyone whatsoever?! He then falls head over heels with her and in 0.3 seconds starts calling her his daughter? The MMC and FMC are just not right for each other either. They are the definition of wrong person wrong time- but there will never be a right time they should have had their fling and moved on end of.

This book was so bad I’m embarrassed it’s on my Goodreads account.
The writing was giving 7th grade fan fiction and the pacing, plot, characters, dialogue, EVERYTHING was cringe and poorly executed.
This was just a bunch of popular tropes put together with enough current pop culture references and a double option shitty cartoon or shirtless man cover with of course the “puck” pun in the title.
Do not read if you don’t want to lose brain cells.
Ever since discovering Brittanee, I’ve been a huge fan of her books and her writing. She never fails to bring the laughs, the spice, and the wholesome found family I’ve come to know and love.
Age gap isn’t particularly a favorite trope of mine, but she always does every single book justice when writing. She pours her heart into every single one she writes, and it captures me every single time.
Millie and Gavin were such a hit right from the beginning. Then you throw the forbiddenness of it all in there and it was even more explosive.
But not everything can’t be perfect, can it? One conversation has Millie running for the hills, and the next thing you know, Gavin is a dad.
But when his dream girl comes back into his life to prove to him that she’s here to stay, things get… heated.
The Langfield brothers own my heart. All of them. Every time I read “the end,” I’m anticipating the next book. And this one is no different. Because now I’m aching for Aiden’s, and I already know it’s going to be my favorite based on his personality & the tropes I’m sure are to come 🤭
I am convinced that all of Brittanée’s hockey romances are perfection. Each one I read I absolutely fall in love with and this one is no exception. I don’t know why I waited so long to read this one since it has one of my all time favorite tropes…age gap. 🫠🫠
The story follows Gavin and Mille and these two were a hit from the beginning. They had so much chemistry!! 🔥🔥😮💨 Gavin is Mille’s Dad BFF so you know that just brings an extra level of tension…and we love tension. Gavin is the definition of Hockey Daddy!! 🥵 The way he loved Millie and how he immediately loved Vivi with his whole heart had me swooning. I mean when he called her Peaches…mop me up I’m a puddle. (Especially since I did the audio and Jason Clarke was the one saying it. 💀) The story telling in this one was very unique. I loved the past and present timelines. And Gavin tell his story to his bench buddy. 🤭
The audio for this one was done so well. The narrators picked were perfection and brought the story to life. (Jason Clarke and Avery Caris) This might be one of my favorite audiobooks.
Overall: 5 Spice: 3.5

🍑ARC Review🍑
It’s official, Gavin and Peaches have shattered me! I am such a ho(e) for age gap and this one did not disappoint. This book is definitely for you if you love hockey romance, forbidden/dad’s best friend, age gap, secret baby, or single dad. It has it all! Gavin knocked Brooks out of the top spot for me and I didn’t think it was possible. The mouth on this man, the things that he does for Millie, the way he loves Vivi with his whole heart….listen I could go on and on all day. Gavin as a single dad had me in a choke hold. Brittaneé wrote us the perfect book husband AGAIN. This book and their love is utter perfection! I absolutely devoured it and you should do the same because it was that good! Hockey Daddy 4 Life!
I thought no man could get hotter than Ford Hall. Then Brittanee was like, oh, here have Beckett Langfield, a grumpy billionaire who absolutely melts for his girl and her kids, moves into a brownstone with four women and seven children, and secretly (not so secretly) loves love and I thought that was the pinnacle of book boyfriend hotness. Except then she gave us Brooks Langfield, a pierced, virgin MCC hockey player head over heels with his best friend, and I was absolutely sure no man would ever measure up.
Well, all of those men can now take a seat, because GAVIN LANGFIELD HAS ENTERED THE CHAT. I am dead. Deceased. Unalived. I have melted into a puddle on the floor because this man. THIS MAN YOU GUYS. If it was just that he was deeply, desperately in love with his best friend's daughter Millie, flying back and forth across oceans just to be where she is and saying things like "if I had my way she would be my everything" that would be enough. If it was just that he did things like pine away for Millie and spill his love story to a stranger on a park bench and have sleepovers with Beckett's kids and banter with his brothers that would also be enough. But then he falls in love with baby Vivi at first sight and we are not worthy because Gavin Langfield as a single dad who so badly wants his girl to be the mom Vivi no longer has, has absolutely set my world on fire and I will NEVER recover. Holy hell. Hocky Daddy as an actual daddy. I can't breathe.
If it's not clear by this point, I loved this book more than is probably reasonable. I loved every single minute of Gavin and Millie being together (and sometimes apart) and figuring each other - and themselves out. I loved Gavin as a dad. I LOVED Millie bonding with her "bestie" Vivi and watching the three of them make a family. I loved Millie finding her girl gang and coming into her own. I loved seeing a bit more of how Ford and Lake's relationship has developed. I loved the Langfield brothers' easy acceptance of Gavin and Millie's love, and how wildly supportive they all are of each other in this and in all things. Every part of this book was screaming and kicking my feet and burying my face in my kindle perfection.
Oh and also, even though it's not his book, Beckett Langfield deserves his moment in the spotlight because his "I'll be right there" had my heart jumping out of my chest and right into the pages of this book and into his hands. This man who pined for Liv for years before finally getting the girl. This man who is the very best father to ever grace the pages of a novel. This man who is a champion of love. This man who would walk through fire for his people. This swoony, hilarious, caring, deeply loving, not-so-grumpy-anymore man. I love him with my whole entire heart.
I could write about this book for hours. I love it desperately. It changed my brain chemistry. I wish I could read it again for the first time. It is perfect. Read it. You'll love it. You'll fall in love with these characters and, like me, you'll finish it wanting more.
Gavin and Millie are Everything! I swear Brittanee tops herself each and every time! I thought Brooks was the pinnacle, but Gavin just said hold my baby, and stole the show!
I can’t express just how hot this was while also being a great story and giving me everything I needed… the chemistry, the pining, the signing hockey player. I couldn’t put it down and it’s now become my whole personality!

✨ Age Gap ✨ Single Dad ✨ Dad’s Best Friend ✨ Hockey Coach ✨ Forced Proximity ✨ Best Family Dynamics Ever
Millie is set on revenge against her father and the best way to get it… seduce his best friend. Gavin had no idea the woman he falls for is his best friends daughter, but when he finds out, he isn’t so willing to let her go. But then suddenly there is a baby on his doorstep and a whole bunch of things to figure out.
This one is told in two timelines and I just loved every second. Millie and Gavin are soulmates and you cannot convince me otherwise. Then you add in the single dad hockey coach aspect and it’s swoon city. I don’t think I’ve lived a MMC as much as Gavin in a long time.
Plus the Langfields are in full force in this one, and it’s everything you would expect. My only fault with this book is that they aren’t real and I can’t be part of the Bolts Hockey team 🤣
This is one of my top reads this year and I am going to shout to everyone just how good it is!
