Prospect Year is unlike any book I've read in a really long time. I forgot how nice it is to step out of the dark every once in a while for a lighter read. This is the tenth book in the Voodoo Troops MC by Jewelz Baxter. I wouldn't call this a romance love story but the story about the journey a boy must take to become a man. It's the prelude to the love story.
Lola has been working at Mac's garage for a couple of years and is finally prospecting with Mac sponsoring him. One of the first things he's told to do is move into the Ol' Ladies women's shelter because two women are living there right now. Lola hasn't had an easy life and when he lost his mom it changed his entire life. He had questions he wanted answers to and it led him to the club.
Mia and Amber are Lola's new roommates at the shelter. Amber has spent time with another MC that was more violent than the Troops so she tries to help Lola out with some of his duties. Mia is a woman who was in a car accident and lost the ability to talk. Both ladies are handling things in their lives to get themselves back on track.
I gave this a 4-star rating and a 1-spicy rating. There is no spice so if that's what you want this book isn't for you. At the beginning of the book, I didn't like Lola all that much. He came across as a flirty player until about halfway through the book. When I finally got the full picture I was reading I realized he is such a big sweetheart that has been through some tough times in his life. His relationship with Mac is definitely one I want to follow along with more.

Absolutely loved this! The forced proximity and love at first sight, while knowing prospecting comes first. Tim and Mia's love story shows that the softer side of an MC prospect does exist for his woman, while the hard edge side for getting the job done, exists as well.

Wow, this book was an amazing read that moved along at a great pace making for an easy read. The characters are out of this world and no matter what hapens you will love them and want to be there for them. This book has to be read, there is no doubt about it.

This is another book on amazing series by one of the best authors. It’s not your average love story. You aren’t even sure if it will turn out that way but then wham it’s perfect. I adore these characters and all the twists and turns. Epic
