This was horribly written and edited. It’s somehow both juvenile and pretentious, filled with phrases like “celebratory party” and other unnecessary adjectives. It feels like the author had no idea which storyline or obstacle she actually wanted. The majority of Chapter 3 isn’t even coherent. Kathy buys the same house no less than three separate times, and there’s so much written about Mr. and Mrs. Evans that is contradictory and irrelevant. If you’re at a fifth-grade or lower reading level, you’ll love it; if not, definitely skip this entirely.
