A TRUSTED STRANGER (An Emily Just Psychological Thriller—Book 2) is the second novel in a new psychological suspense series by mystery and suspense author Ella Swift. The series begins with A TRUSTED WIFE (Book 1).
What an amazing book 👏👏👏👏👏!!! It's a riveting, compelling, thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat from the first page until the last!! I absolutely loved it and can't wait to read more of her books!!
For a short story it was very good, got to the point and had some suspense bits in. The chapters were short, the only thing is that I guess what was going to happen. But for a 188 page book it was good.
This is the second Emily Just book that I have read. They’re enjoyable- Swift does a good job with atmosphere. Her prose is a bit overblown and her editor should help her out with a synonym for opulent (grossly overused in the first few pages) but those are minor critiques. Overall, I do enjoy her books and will probably read another.
Emily Just takes a position to care for a model recovering from plastic surgery. She feels something is wrong in this household and proceeds to unravel the mystery. The book is an easy read, but the story portrays Emily as a nosy untrustworthy person I would not want in my home. She is reckless and I didn’t like this Emily.
This book was free on bookbub so I decided to give it a shot. I was in bed with the flu so it was the perfect light read. Characters were easy to follow and there was an unexpected twist at the end. I'm going to backtrack and read book 1 even though I probably know how it ends based on the references to her last job in this book.
This book was very slow moving, lots of redundancy and very little that made any sense. I did read the whole book and the ending was actually kind of interesting.
The book started off strong and interesting, I felt it got a wee bit muddled with all the accusations with nothing at all to back them up. Otherwise it was a no bad read.
