The Doctor makes an unexpected return trip to the planet Konzomia, this time with Sarah Jane Smith. The traumas of his previous visit, with Jo Grant, are apparently long forgotten. Except that they are not. Can a long-defeated danger be rearing up again? And will the plight of a young British soldier, retreating to Dunkirk in 1940, be the catalyst for the unravelling of history? The Doctor, Sarah and the Brigadier must embark upon a mission of mercy, with Jo Grant at its very heart.

Glad this Dunkirk story didn't have Harry Styles in.
This story has everything you could want from a 3rd Doctor story. We have the sci-fi backplot that cleverly interlinked into the historical setting being that of the Dunkirk evacuation in 1940. It explores the backstory of one companion, that being Jo Grant but also unexpectedly explores another. Some very emotional moments and great historical details highlights that Tim Treloar knows his stuff.
Tim Treloar, please write a story with Wilhelm Canaris! You can't hint at it without giving us one. That was a surprise historical figure mention and General Guderian was another surprise. Further highlighting the knowledge the writer had of the period and it certainly paid off.
A solid story and great celebration of 10 years of full Cast Third Doctor stories at Big Finish.
Another great entry into the Third Doctor Adventures range. This range is always something I looking forward to when new releases arrive. I really loved the lore developed about the Lethbridge Stewart.
