Keep the lights on while reading this adventure... I just finished reading *Shadow Games* by Jane Firebaugh. I loved it. I couldn't put it down. I have never read a story like this before... full of twists, turns, mystery, friendship, jealousy, greed, antisemitism and romance??? The surprises were shocking but I had to continue reading. How the heck are the main character, Hannah, her friends and protectors going to get out of this, kept racing through my mind. The characters were so real and likeable except for the ex-husband, Aaron, of course...and later on, his *associates*. I have never read a story with my mouth hanging open - not a pretty sight but that is the truth. The author has a scary and creative mind, but I have to thank her for the journey she took me on. I highly recommend this read. Marni Chartier; Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada)
Prejudice. If you have never experienced it, you can’t understand it. You do not get it. You don’t feel the hatred, the all-consuming dislike because of your skin color, religion, or gender. Shadows Games by Jane Firebaugh examines prejudice in this gripping story of a beautiful, successful surgeon. Hannah is blindsided by a vicious attacker who comes after her like the Terminator. Nothing seems to stop him. I could not put this book down. It felt so real I had to remind myself this was fiction. Read this book.
First you discover that your husband is having an affair and your world is turned upside down. That’s the emotional beginning of this chilling tale, and as in every good thriller, the truth becomes more and more terrifying. A great read.
