I'm an award-winning fiction writer from Oklahoma. I have short stories in several anthologies and my weird western novel series debuts in June 2024. I am also the head writer for an annual variety show, and I sit on the governing board of a local leadership organization.

Look for my short stories in the VISIONS and MIDNIGHT ROOST anthologies by WordCrafter Press, as well as A BIT OF LUCK by WordFire Press, all available now.

My stories lean toward the creepy and weird with a dash of humor for flavor. I hope you enjoy!

Highly imaginative...and yes, strange...but once I recognized Ginny was on a journey to redemption and forgiveness, I quit trying to "buttonhole it" and settled back to get caught up in her adventures and admire her perseverance. As I read, well known fairytales, novels, and characters flitted through my mind: werewolves, vampires, Hansel & Gretel, zombies, sirens, Bigfoot, Alice in Wonderland, Snow Queen....

Yes, I will definitely be buying and reading book 2, "Dying Time." Turns out the "weird Old West" is a very interesting place to visit. Give it a try.

Blood Follows Blood: The Legend of Ginny, by Julie Jones is a captivating weird western that will keep you thinking, "What else could possibly happen?" And, "How much can one girl take?"

This story has so much nonstop action that it makes the reader tired, but Ginny Sutton takes it all in stride. I guess when you live in a world where nothing stays dead, battling supernatural beings wouldn't make you bat an eye, and deals with the devil would come as no surprise.

For five long years Ginny Sutton had been is a woman haunted by her past and out for revenge, chasing Jim Puckett half-way over the mountains and back. When she finally decided to give it up and go back home to Oklahoma, she caught up with him and chased him some more, hunting him down like the mangey dog he was. But now, Jim won't stay dead, and the devil's got a price on her head.

I was impressed with the craftsmanship of this debut novel. Jones has done her research, setting the perfect tone for the tale, with a strong female protagonist I couldn't help but like.

extraordinarily crafty

Not sure what I was getting into, I slowly started this book. I knew it’d be good because Julie Jones is a gifter word slinger. Not a genre I thought I’d get into, I found myself surprised at how engaged I became . There’s some powerful stuff in here. I believe in justice and good. I can’t wait to read the next one.

Ginny Sutton reminds me a little of someone I know.❤️

Interesting

It started off kind of slow to me, I almost put it aside at about one third of the way in. Then the story started to build. The MC Ginny began to define herself. The story really picked up and became quite interesting. I'm glad I didn't give up because ended up enjoying this read.
