This is a hugely practical book that is equal parts challenging and inspiring as it centres on the core value of the church: to prioritise and experience the living and active God in our gatherings. What is especially provocative is the thread of personal responsibility that runs through the whole book: that our first priority, before anything else, is to cultivate our own relationship with God. As we grow more mindful of Him in our daily life - increasingly sensitive to His voice, in tune with His desires, awestruck by His glory, obedient to His will - we can recognise and follow His leading in wider church gatherings. This - and so much more - is humbly and clearly communicated in a very accessible book. A must-read for all church leaders hungry for change!
