Leongatha Pack Tales #3

An Alpha's Commitment

Rate this book
'I trembled. I could refuse this man nothing. I was his omega, and my greatest desire was to please him.'

After being rescued by Talius and physically recovered from his trauma, Isca has formed a triad with the Alpha and his mate. But Isca struggles to accept his place. It's hard to believe you're valued, when all you've heard for years is how useless you are.

Talius and Irian have been mates for years and share a telepathic connection forged by their mating bond. Talius would like a similar bond with Isca, but Isca is still mated to the sadistic Alpha who left him for dead months ago. A mating bond between shifters is unbreakable, so despite the mating having been non-consensual, Isca will always be bound to his cruel mate.

But Talius is determined to find a way to break the bond and make sure his second omega gets all the benefits of mating.

Will he succeed or will Isca always feel the odd one out?

Content explicit MM and MMM intimate scenes, a panic attack, mild dominance and submission, shibari, voyeurism, references to a previous sexual assault & previous domestic abuse.

this book is best read after 'The Sad Omega', and is low angst and contains more spice.

The Sad Omega, the first book in this series, should be read first for the best experience. This new author has created a wolf-shifter world with its own rules. Some of these rules stop Talius from taking Isca as a second true mate, even though he and his first mate, Irian, want them all to be officially united. In this story, we follow as the shifters love and play and seek a way to get around the rules. We meet a very young mage who makes all the difference. Magic and love work wonders in this world. But the men who hurt Isca are still out there, and we can feel a confrontation coming someday. So well written-we love these men who live alongside regular society and wish they were in our woods at the full moon.

I received an ARC for free and left this review happily!

This was a lovely follow-up to the previous book. And while reading it I felt it was better than the first. I liked where the story was headed and I loved that it was realistic. Instead of forcing a bond another route was created. I lived their bond even more in this book, no one was left behind. I will be continuing this series.

An Alpha’s Commitment by R. Gaen is the second book in her Leongatha Pack Tales series. I highly suggest that you read the first before this one as this is a continuation of that story. Talius is the alpha of the Leongatha Pack. His bonded mate is Irian who is an omega and in the previous sstory they found Isca, an omega who was partially bonded to an abusive pack alpha who made him feel worthless and finally left him for dead when Talius and Irian found him and nursed him back to health. They also fell in love and made Isca their mate, even though he couldn’t be bonded to them. This left him always wondering if they would one day turn him away but both men were committed to him and tried to make him feel safe and wanted and that he is not alone. They knew how he felt and Talius wanted to find out if the old bond could be broken so he could bond with Isca. He went to a friend on the Council but couldn’t find an answer there. He was afraid to check with more people because he didn’t want Isca’s old alpha to find him. Then he thought that maybe a mage might be able to help so he asked his friend Darius, who had a mage in his pack, if he could talk to him. Xeres, the mage, who grew up with Irian, thought he might have a spell he could try but was uncertain if it would work. There was a provision that Isca had to adhere to which Irian didn’t like but Isca was willing to do if it meant he could bond with his mates. They performed the ritual at the Blood Moon and luckily it worked. Now they were bonded mates with all that entailed and Isca belonged and was never alone. I really enjoyed this story as I did the previous one. Isca was such a good character and deserved to be happy and with his mates especially after all he had gone through. Irian was a feisty omega who loved fiercely and wanted nothing more than to bond with Isca. Talius was an amazing alpha who advocated for omega rights and just doing the right thing for all his pack members. He wasn’t going to give up until he found a way to bond with both of his omegas. The pack members were supportive, especially since a triad had not been seen before as well as you didn’t break a former bond. Darius and Xeres played an important part in helping them achieve their goal and we also meet Agelius who is going to be featured in the next book. And there were lots of hot love scenes to spice things up along the way. I highly recommend this book especially if you like MMM stories featuring an alpha wolf and his two omegas who face adversity in finding a way to be bonded together forever.

An Alpha's Commitment is the second book in R. Gaen's series, Leongatha Pack Tales. Those that like a darker romance, with shape shifters and a menage, this was a good read. However, this is a series that needs to be read in order. This book picks up the story from The Sad Omega, where Isca, an abused and timid omega, finds himself in a relationship and falling in love with mated pair Talius (the alpha) and Irian (also an omega).

In this book, Talius, Irian and Isca have become a fully fledged triad, where the two omegas are with each other as much as they are with the alpha. This story goes through the triad trying to make a proper mating bond between them. Unfortunately, Isca had been forced to mate and was subsequently abused by a sadistic alpha who gave him a mating mark. That means that even though Talius and Irian are mated to each other, and they love Isca, the three men cannot claim each other.

I have to say that my favourite part of this book involved a character we only briefly meet, Xerxes. I found the interaction with him was humorous, which was exactly what we needed and I enjoyed the insight he gave us to Irian.

This is a bit of an epic series and a dark romance that is also somehow heartwarming. I'm not sure if we will have more to the story of Talius, Isca and Irian, but I am looking forward to finding out how other members of the Leongartha Pack fare in the romance department.

Independent reviewer for BookSirens, I was gifted my copy of this book.

This is book 2 in the Leongatha Pack Tales and it cannot be read as a stand alone. It follows on from what happened in book 1, The Sad Omega. Much is not recapped and you need that book to get the full horror of what happened to Isca in his old pack, and just how far he has come.

I said in my review for book 1, that I didn't much care for Talius, however, he redeems himself beautifully in this one!

Talius and Irian have a full bond, with a mind connection. Talius wants that with Isca, and he wants a three way mind connection. But given as Isca still has a partial bond with his previous alpha, he doesn't know if that will happen. But he goes to great lengths to try. And that his how he redeems himself! He doesn't want this for himself, he wants it more for Isca and Irian. He loves them both.

Isca still struggles with his sense of worth. But those times are getting fewer and fewer but still, at times, the old alpha is in his head, telling him he is a waste of space. In those moments, both Irian and Talius are always there to bring him back.

I loved that they all get a say again. I love the polar opposites in irian and Isca. part of that is Isca's past, but mostly, Isca is a much calmer omega that Irian and the pair are well suited to Talius who treats them differently, to their personalities but not differently with his emotions, does that make sense? He plays to Irian's cheeky comments, but never makes Isca feel less than, cos he is often horrified by Irian's cheek!

There are, as in book 1, a few side characters who piqued my interest and I again wish to keep up with these guys and all the Leongatha Pack.

4 very good stars (much less dark read than book one, and I think Talius is a lot more likable here!)

Alpha Talius and omega Irian are bonded mates and have been for years. When omega Isca was found near death in the woods by Talius, he is brought back to the pack and nursed back to health. Talius and Irian both love Isca and want to be able to mate with him to form a triad, but Isca is still mated to the alpha that left him for dead in the woods. Isca is accepted by Talius and Irian and treated like a mate in the triad, except there is no bond. Wanting Isca to have the protection from a bond, Talius seeks a way to break Isca’s mating bond so he can form a new one, seeking help outside the pack, hoping a solution may be found. Isca’s safety and his place in the pack may depend on it.
Engaging, relatable characters, good world building, lots of heat action, and creative problem solving kept me interested and involved as they searched for a way to build the bond for Isca and get their bonded HEA.

Part of the Leongatha Pack Tales series picking up where book one left off with our abused Isca finding a second chance with a mated couple finally experiencing happiness Talius, Irian and Isca are officially together his omegas hang with each other along with their alpha but they are embarking on how to bond with each other especially with Isca coming from a forced mating with extreme abuse so with his mating mark they can’t bond but it doesn’t take away the love they feel for each other. Talius wants to make his Isca part of their bond for his protection so he reaches outside of the pack for help hoping to find a solution that can release from his old alpha to ensure his safety providing him a place within his pack it may depend on it but can he find some help to rid him of a forced matting, will he be able to stay a part of their pack, will his old alpha come looking for him, and where are our omegas and their alpha headed?

"We're your family now. We love and appreciate you. No-one's going to hurt you anymore."

This is book two in the series Leongatha Pack Tales by R. Gaen. When I saw this pop up on Booksprout I couldn't wait to read and review. Book 1 was so good I couldn't wait to see what happens next to these three shifters.

I was expecting lots of angst like the first book had but this book was basically angstless. I kept waiting for the bad guys to show up.

We are introduced to some new characters which I assume we'll see in future books, at least I hope so. I'd like to know more about Darius and his mage.

An abused omega finally coming into his own. A mated alpha and omega pair making room in their lives and their mating bond. This story brings the heat.

Next up in the series, alpha Agelius gets a book, there's a teaser at the end of this book and it looks good.

This was a quick read and a good follow up to The Sad Omega. Talius is still the same caring Alpha that he was in book one, wanting to go that extra step to mate bond Isca as well. As this was more about Isca, I felt that Irian played a smaller part, but he was still there with his laughter, being his usual bubbly self, constantly teasing Talius and calling Isca out when Isca doubted himself. Watching Irian and Isca's relationship grow as well was beautiful.
As the triad's relationship grew, the spice became a lot hotter, adding to the story.
I liked that the author did not follow the usual shifter rules and added to them when it came to the pack and the mating bond. The addition of some new characters has me intrigued with what is coming next. I will definitely carry on with this series and am already looking forward to the next one

Being an established couple is what Talius and Irian are. They have been together for years. Their bond is strong and when Isca is rescued and brought to them, they welcome him into their home and soon he's their mate too. But one huge thing is the problem, Isca still has a partial mate bond to his previous alpha. Reassuring Isca of their love and devotion is sometimes a daily thing, but Talius, the alpha of the pack and Irian are determined to show Isca he's theirs. A mate bond must be made between the three and a powerful, young mage will do the job!

It is best to read book one before reading this one to stay in the know of who and when! But you are able to deduct things if you just jump into book two! Enjoy!.

After leaving an abusive relationship and finding an alpha/omega pair that wants not only to include him but also care for him Isca is in a better place than he had been. But becoming a true partner to Talius, the alpha, and Irian, the omega, is complicated by the lasting bond he still had with his abusive ex alpha. in this follow up story to the Sad Omega, this trio is trying to find a way to make sure that they are all functioning on equal footing so that Isca can truly feel a part of them not just safe from what was. This story did a good job of reminding us all that healing takes time and only starts with the rescue.

'There was no doubt, this was where we belonged.'

I enjoyed the first book- The Sad Omega- but I loved this one even more. I loved seeing alpha Talius and omegas Irian and Isca as a triad. Their chemistry was scorching and I loved the dynamic- not only between all three of them, but also between the two omegas. I liked seeing Isca's confidence in himself grow, as well as the guidance and support of his alpha. I was still sad for the memories of what Isca's forced mate Zarbius had done to him, as well as the partial forced bound still in place. Can they find a way to remove it so that Isca can be bonded to both Talius and Irian?

A beautiful throuple. I also loved the supporting characters, and the talented mage Xeres.

I can't wait until the next book The Timid Omega! 5 stars.

Wow, I absolutely loved reading this book I was captivated that I couldn't put down, the story was mesmerising with the characters were sensational. Talius is the Alpha of the pack he already has a mate Irian he is an Omega they are waiting for Irian to go on heat, Irian and Talius found a body out left to die after being beaten by an inch of his life. Talius is angry no-one should go through this, now Talius and Irian are trying everything to try and keep him alive. It was an emotional roller-coaster and alot of hoping and praying.

Sequels can be just a retelling of the original story. While this is a continuation, it did not feel like a rehashing of the first story. Characters are individuals. While it is nice to read in multiple points of view, life does not work that way. We have only our own point of view. Will continue reading this author CAVEAT - I usually reserve this space to complain about lack of editing. However, this author has achieved, although not perfect, acceptable editing. If you are thinking of reading this and haven't read The sad Omega then please read it first as this follows on directly from that story. Another intense storyline that is packed full of emotion. Each character is so endearing in their own individual way and had such a great dynamic. I just loved all three of them, Talius, Isca and Irian. Really hoping we get more from the Leongartha Pack as this could be an epic series.

An Alphas Commitment by R.Gae is a 5⭐️ must-read masterpiece. I fell in love with this book and can’t wait for the next book. It’s a book full of love between Alpha and his two Omegas. It’s full of erotic scenes but there is always a conclusion of deep love and connection between the wolf shifters. I found my new favorite author.

I wasn’t expecting a second book of this throuple, and I was super happy to get this! While the last book a had a lot of angst, this one was definitely fluffier and it was nice to see how they interacted as a family.

I loved the Happily ever after, and would love to see babies in the future! If they were pregnant at the same time, that would be so cute!

The first book The sad Omega really broke my heart. This book lifted my heart. Finally seeing Isca come out of his show and realize that Not only was he loved that he was also Worthy. Everything that Talius and Irian did to make sure that he could be mated to them and make him an equal member of their relationship was heartwarming. I'm excited to read darius's story.

This book was easy to read. The sequel. We know how Isca suffered and now he has found a place where he is safe and loved. But because of his past, it is only possible to form a bond through magic. Together with Talius and Irian, they are now connected. The story is full of emotions, trauma and love. Highly recommended.

Such a great read. After reading Book 1, this is a great ending to the series, for now. I love Talius who is so concerning to both of the Omegas. He wants them to be equal, but how is this done? The three of them Talius, Irian and Isca have to find how to be a triad for fated mates. Talius will do anything to find the solution.

This is the second book in the Leongatha Pack series. The author continues to bring Talius, Irian and Isca into their mating bond but they are having some issues due to Isca'a past. It's well written, moves fluidly and is a great addition to the series.

This is the second book in the series and picks up where The Sad Omega left off. I found this to be a steamier and lighter read than the previous book. It was heartwarming how Talius and Irian help Isca heal emotionally and how accepting the rest of the pack was of their triad.

In book 1 The Sad Omega, Iriana befriends Isca & brings him home to his Alpha Talius & the pack. As time went on, Isca heals physically from his wounds but mentally he still feels unwanted. Iriana & Talius both love Isca & want to make him their mate. In this book, it shows us what Talius will go through to make him theirs. I’m really enjoying this story by R. Gaen where this book continues the journey started in The Sad Omega. I feel so bad for Isca who finds it so difficult to believe that he is now loved and appreciated by Talius and Irian. Gaen does a particularly good job of conveying the emotions and feelings of all three of these guys. Triads are hard to write in the first place but when there is a couple that have been together for years and then another person joins in it makes it seem even harder to balance out the relationship. Less angst in this volume and more love.
