After all these years...

Omegaverse has steadily become more common. Before it was only seen in fanfiction online, but these days it can be found even in published romance. And I, for one, welcome this.
For a long time I'd been searching for an alpha woman and omega man story, but there just didn't seem to be any published ones. Then. Finally. THIS!

Sara is an orphaned child, dreaming of getting away from the underpaid and overworked orphanage that she's stuck at. When she's identified as a possible alpha or omega, she finally gets that opportunity and is transfered to a school only for alphas and omegas.
There she meets Ruben. The asshole, spoilt son of the woman who allowed her to attend the school. The son of her idol.
The two of them share an antagonistic relationship while growing up. Ruben constantly tauting her about how she'll "beg for his knot" once he presents as an alpha and she as an omega.
But things don't always go as we might want...

What did I like?
· Sara and Ruben. I like that time is spent with them as younger kids and how their antagonistic relation plays out. Sara I especially enjoyed. It was nice being inside her head.
· Alpha fucking woman. DUH. Too few of them around.
· The sex was pretty hot.
· What little society building and world lore we got was interesting. I'd have liked to have seen more of it.

What didn't I like?
· Too short. The story was just too short for what it was trying to do. Sometimes it felt very rushed and by the end I honestly couldn't see how the two of them could have developed feelings for each other. Yes, they were definitely hot for each other, but feelings... Perhaps there will be more in book 2.
· The in-personal use of "alpha" and "omega". Sometimes the story would go from "Sara thought etc." to "The alpha thought..." which I wasn't a great fan of. It just felt odd and out of place to me. I wouldn't mind some use of that, but it just a little too often for my taste.

Rating
I give this 4 stars and will definitely read the second one at some point.

It is the reverse roll of a typical alpha/omega couple. It’s the first one I’ve come upon where the alpha is female and the omega is male. While it was different, it was short for the price tag that comes with it. $3.50 for hundred pages? And this is a series so there’s a second book to continue on with the story.

This would have been a higher rating, but I detest this practice of greedy authors who only produce mediocre unfinished stories. A complete story has a beginning, middle and end. As such I will give this author my incomplete rating of one star. If I’m to pay $3.50, it better be for an entire book.

As for the story, what I read had potential. But since this is incomplete and unfinished, I can’t say it’s worth reading. But it’s definitely not worth the $3.50 price tag.

I prefer when the male Omega is the one taking It (if you know what I mean), but I liked this anyway. We need more female alphas.

Good book

I enjoyed this book a lot. I've never read an alpha/Omega book with the female as the alpha but I really liked the idea and I hope other authors will try it. The book has tons of passion and drama and is well written.

Well it certainly is current having the female as the Alpha and make as an Omega. I think it's that dynamic that has me hooked considering statue start neither had presented their designation and it looked like he was gonna be a bully alpha to her when she turned omega only for it to flip and he needed her to help hide his omega status in school. This short novella ended on a bit of a cliff hanger so I'm moving straight to book 2.

Excuse me while I cry??? I've been looking for a book with just a female Alpha and a male Omega without any other Alphas or Omegas. Just the two of them!! I like my men to be sub or brat, and I finally found it in this book.

Now, now, it’s not like this book is perfect. I was annoyed by the inconsistency in how the author described the MMC, Ruber or Styles. I mean, choosing one would be better, right?? Also, I didn’t really like the inner monologues of their inner Omega/Alpha. Sometimes, they made me cringe.

BUT! But the rest of the book is fine for a novella. The scene where he proudly showed off his upgraded nest had me giggling like an idiot, thanks 😩

OMG!!! I found my trope. I didn’t even know this was a thing. Female alphas and male omegas?! I mean, outside of wolves I didn’t know this or the reverse, was a thing.
Loved this book. Loved the cliffhanger ending. Now I GOTTA read the next book.

This was a quick read and I did enjoy it the reverse rolls of Alpha being female and the omega being male but it didn’t take away from the story and I think it was quite refreshing this way. Sara is an orphan who wants more out of life and when she is chosen after testing by Amanda to go to the Alpha's and Omega’s school she is thrilled and that’s where she meets Amanda’s son Ruben who she believes is a spoilt rich kid and its a ruff road that they travel on before they find out what they are meet to be after coming of age. Ruben goes with his mother to the Orphanage where she test the kids there to see if there are any Alpha’s or Omega’s and when Sara is chosen he thinks she is crazy and wants nothing to do with her. Now years later they learn that there rolls are reversed and Sara is the Alpha and he is the omega and Ruben cannot accept this and try’s real hard to hide who he really is but when he goes into heat he asks Sara to help him through it. How does it all turn out well on a cliffhanger which I hate so that why it lost a star but I wont to kn0ow what happens so I’ll read the next one.

You're My Omega is a spicy, paranormal, omegaverse, enemies-to-lovers romance. At just 14, Sara is an orphan. When she is tested, she is either an alpha or omega and sent to a special school for others like her. Ruben is her idol Alpha's son, and they are enemies. Ruben taunts her, saying she will be his omega. But she presents as an alpha, and surprisingly, he is an omega although he tries to hide it. The two end up in a hot, secret physical relationship with Ruben as the needy submissive. I did like that this story had a strong female Alpha and that the omega was a hot male. But it was also sad seeing the agony of Ruben and how Sara hurt him so much. The story ends in a bit of a cliffhanger, so we will need to keep reading to get the status of their relationship. I am looking forward to book 2.

Two stars.

This is a female alpha/male omega story which is an interesting premise. It's too bad it wasn't executed better.

The characters feel like caricatures and the story feels unfinished. If the author had taken more time to flesh out the characters and their relationship, I might have considered reading the sequel. But I have no confidence in this story going in an interesting or even enjoyable direction.

This is a short story, to me it seems more like a prequel to a longer one. After checking, there are three more short books with these characters. I thought the premise was interesting, having never read a book with a female alpha and a male omega as I tend toward mm alpha/omega books. I wasn’t fond of Ruben at the beginning, he was not very likable, but I liked him more toward the end and felt sorry for him. Same for Sara, only the reverse. It seemed they both had their stereotypes of how each designation should think and act with little understanding of each other as individuals.

I want to know what happens to Ruben, especially, but not sure I will buy 3 more books to find out, although I probably would if it was one longer book to finish the story. I did get into the story and wondered how the dynamic would be with the alpha the pregnant one and the role of the omega in that situation, but I don’t know if that even comes up in the other books.

If you like stories in the omegaverse and don’t mind getting them in serialized pieces, this was an interesting read as far as it went. You get a good sense of the characters and the attitudes toward the designations. The high school setting, with those designated as alphas and the ones not yet presented kept together, was much like high school settings in any time or place with typical behaviors of teenagers. Not a bad read, I just wanted more. It is worth checking out if the premise intrigues you.

Sara is 14 and in a home for children since her mother passed away. She just has to stick it out till she's old enough to leave. Today a woman named Amanda is coming to week out the alphas from the omegas. She sees this as an opening to get away from the home. She overjoyed when she tests positive. Now she'll be sent to a school for alphas and omegas. In the car she meets Amanda's son.
Ruben is a sullen teen and bad mouths his mother any chance he gets. He and Sara have had their share of battles. He belittles her by telling her she'll change her tune when she comes to him for his knot.
Sara is dreading the time she presents. Then she turns 16 and had a fever. She is fearful that this is it..omega time. But nothing happens until her friends come to visit and she catches her friend Lily's scent. But she couldn't wait to brag about it to Ruben. Senior year and Ruben still hasn't presented. It's possible he's a dud alpha or a beta. Then when an omega goes to give him a gift he is mean towards her. This pushes Sara over and she takes him to the ground, literally. Unfotunately they get caught and taken to a time out. They're left in a room for a while which turns out to be longer than that. When she realizes it she goes to wake the idiot up only to catch his scent under all the deoderant...omega!!!
Well this is a conundrum! Now what?
An interesting story that will in some ways tickle the reader's funny bone.

THIS REVIEW IS BASED ON THE ENTIRE DUET.

Let me start off by saying BETA/OMEGA males are never my thing. But here, we have a reversal role that's oddly satisfying.

Pretty decent Omegaverse, except it was a novella and the characters were teenagers who couldn't even communicate properly. I love angst, but the reason they broke up later was just...ridiculous. Pride and fear got in the way before the characters reached their HEA. I wish the author actually wrote a definitive ending, allowing the reader some closure, only it was quite an open ending - a positive one.

What lured me to pick up this story was mainly because this time WE HAVE A MALE OMEGA with AN ALPHA FEMALE!!! The dynamics have been reversed and it was oddly weird yet arousing. Personally, I like the natural role of things where the female is usually the submissive character, but this time having the woman in charge was quite delish. Though, I absolutely didn't approve of how SARA handled RUBEN's feelings. OUCH MAJOR TIME. The way she treated him got me thinking...."WOW, IS THIS HOW IT FEELS LIKE WHEN THE WOMAN PLAYS THE DOMINANT, ASSHOLE ROLE? SHE BECOMES THE FUCKBOI INSTEAD?"

Guess we'll never know. *smirks*

But anyhow, SARA wasn't an asshole, she just failed to handle the situation maturely. Blame it on youth and immaturity, because she and Ruben worked so well together in bed. For once dear readers, we have A NEEDY MALE.

A pleasant surprise

I had often avoided A/B/O due to how violent it can be. It also knew het A/B/O existed, which usually has female omegas, which I avoided for the same reasons. However, I could not help my curiosity at seeing this title for a female Alpha. I have kindle unlimited, so I had nothing to lose but time. And it was a surpassingly enjoyable time. Sara (who also happened to a WOC) was a relatable as a young woman who did nto want to become entangled in the feeling of her lover and herself. Reuben was perfection combination of snarky and submissive that I wish I could see in more male antagonists. Miss Beatrix really captured a more realistic feeling of being young and love for the rest time. Being confused about conflicting feelings and not sure what is hormones and what is your heart.

4 stars just because the ending left me hollow. But don’t worry guys, there’s a part two :D

Beatrix Arden's "You're My Omega" immerses readers in a captivating Omegaverse romance. The narrative revolves around alpha girl Sara's discovery of her school enemy's secret Omega status, leading to a passionate encounter filled with desire and primal instincts. The steamy scenes are a highlight, resonating with sensuality and raw emotion. While linguistic nuances and occasional grammatical errors exist, the story's brevity makes it a quick and accessible read.

"You're My Omega" successfully navigates the complexities of alpha/omega dynamics, offering a unique blend of romance and fantasy. Despite minor imperfections, the book leaves readers eagerly anticipating the next installment. Beatrix Arden's ability to create a world where societal norms collide with primal instincts makes this a compelling addition to the Omegaverse romance genre.

The premise of a female alpha and male omega pairing hooked me as it's not something you see around very much so I didn't know what to expect. Thankfully, I really enjoyed it!

Things I liked:
- the "bully element" was done really well. I liked the contrast between the rich spoiled omega and the orphaned alpha girl. It had that genuine enemies-to-lovers sexual tension going on.
- Sara was a great alpha character, she wasn't a stereotypical domineering she-hulk, she was just a regular girl with added instincts. Her character felt relatable.
- For a novella, I think the AU was well developed, although I would have liked to understand a bit more about the role of betas in this society.

Overall, this was a fun, spicy read that left me wanting more. I'll definitely check out the rest of the series as well as any other ABO stories from this author.

This book is different from other omegaverse ones I've read as the roles are reversed in this story. The alpha is female and the omega is male.

At the age of 14, Sara is an orphan. After being tested, she shows signs of either being an alpha or an omega, so is sent to a school specially for alphas and omegas. Her enemy Ruben, is Amanda's, her idol Alpha's son, who she absolutely despises. He continuously taunts her, saying that she will be his omega.

But when they come of age, it is revealed that Sara is actually alpha and Ruben, an omega. No matter how much he tries to hide his status, when he goes into heat, he turns to Sara to help him. What will happen with the dynamics of their relationship?

The story does end on a cliffhanger, so to find out what happens to Sara and Ruben's relationship, the rest of the series needs to be read.

Really enjoyed reading this book could not put it down.
Ruben and Sara tormented each other in high school and Ruben boasted that when he was a alpha and Sara a omega that she would b beneath him in all ways.
But it’s doesn’t turns out that way.Sara was a alpha female and Ruben was a omega but only she knew and could help him with his problem.
They hook up and then suddenly Ruben leaves without a word before graduation and never from again.
The story between these two are well written and chemistry is off the charts with a lot of steamy scenes between these to in the book.
But you have to read the next book in the series to find out what happens next can’t wait.

So this is my first book with a Alpha FMC. Sara is a orphan that gets taken from the orphanage and take him to a private school for alphas and omegas. She idolizes the woman she looks at at saving her. But she despises the woman's son Ruben. From the beginning I was frustrated with both of them because they refused to see each other's point of view. But it came pretty clear that he more than likely had a crash and that's why he continued to antagonize her. Because of her past trauma she had serious walls up and wouldn't accept any kind of affection or love. Her rejection to him left me in tears. I really need to know what happens.

It was fine

Fun concept. I agree with other reviewers that female alphas should be more assertive/dominant in general. The female alpha in this book came off as alpha-lite.

Well edited except for "withered" when I'm fairly certain the author meant "writhed" - which I've seen in multiple of her books.

Anyway, easy read with medium-hot spice, but I wish it had been developed out more. I guess it makes sense, since they're teens/early adults; how much do they actually know about fun times beyond rubbing together? After a while it was repetitive, short, and a bit boring. I'll be skipping future books because that seems to be the author's style and I'm looking for more.

Wow! This story looks to be a very compelling and emotional one. Sara and Ruben are both in the alpha school, but six months before they graduate, Ruben presents as an omega, but wanting to keep his designation secret, Sara and Ruben enter an agreement and they mate each other until Sarah rejects him and he disappears, she is hurt but assuming that he would leave her first, she accepts that they have to lead their own lives away from each other. The book ends with Sara talking with his mother and planning on making his life and other omega’s like him better.

This is a beautiful story

For a young woman who had no family and went into an orphanage at a young age to become a Alpha in her teens,to be subject to spite from a guy that thought he was to be an Alpha
only to find that was not going to happen for him as he became an Omega and that she was the only one that could help him through it,and it turns out that he had feelings for her and she him but he ran away from her and she was alone again.I would like to say thank you for all your hard work and may fortune smile 😃on you always 😁from a bookworm

Well written, full of hot steamy scenes. Sara is tested to see if she is an Alpha or Omega , she tests positive, and taken to a school for these children. She stays in the school till she proves to be which she is- alpha/omega. As time goes on , she proves to be an Alpha and her main enemy is in the same classes as her. The hate between them is strong and she comes to know that he really is an omega. They spend lots of time together but after an argument, Ruben just leaves . She is unsure of what to do. Would recommend to others.
I am an ARC and leave this unbiased, honest review.

This was a wild reading ride and quite the reversal of other Omegaverse stories I've read. The idea of the gal being the alpha and the bully ending up being the omega blew my mind ;) Ruben and Sara have such an antagonistic relationship but I suspect there's a lot more going on than either of them know. Things sure get hot and steamy as they deal with his heat - and this isn't a male pregnancy series, just so you know. Of course, this is only the first installment so I know there is so much more to come for these two...and maybe an HEA..? I can't wait to find out :D

Stop what you're doing and read this NOW. This was such a delightful, refreshing take on Omegaverse.

The writing style was great and I absolutely LOVED the tension between Sara and Ruben. This book is filled with academic rivals and enemies to lovers goodness.

I cannot gush more about how incredible and cute this story was. I loved the ending (HFN) and I can't wait to read the sequel.

I'm definitely looking forward to reading more from this author!!

Going into this book, I had very little understanding of how the Omegaverse worked and this was a good start to learning about it. The book is a short one and I was able to finish it in one sitting. From what I knew about the omegaverse, the alphas tend to be MMCs and omegas, FMCs, but this one was reversed. I enjoyed the story.
