I try to read a book a day here at the library but....we have been very busy and understaffed so I haven't had a chance...BUT while shelving I came across this book and I couldn't help but read it. It is about a little bunny who is a ventriloquist. He makes his dad's shoes talk and his mom hat talk. (Very Jeff Dunham...)
Anyways, his family is embarrassed by him and tries to buy him a ventriloquist doll but Phil thinks it is more fun to make 'things' talk. He has no respect from his family until his ventriloquist skills saves the day. Cute book!
This was a Weekly Reader book I got when my oldest daughter was a little girl and one that became a favorite. I loved getting to read it again with her daughter, my granddaughter.
Phil's parents aren't a fan of his ventriloquist skills... but when a burglar breaks in to their house and Phil scares him off with his voice throwing talent the burglar runs away. That maybe be an issue for some sensitive children.
An okay story about a little rabbit that can throw his voice. He ends up a hero (after first embarrassing his parents with his talent) by scaring away a burgler.
