Who’s the captivating tycoon turning heads with a single glance?
Oh, damn...
It’s Andrew Miller, the man who ignited a flame with a single night of passion.
His sudden appearance in the chaos of my world wasn’t part of the plan, especially when his presence stirs up desire.
But here he stands, exuding confidence in his tailored suit, a man accustomed to getting what he wants.
Beneath my facade lies a tumult of emotions. As we navigate the complexities of our no-strings-attached arrangement, unexpected emotions simmer.
With the revelation of my father’s secret, I’m forced to confront the skeletons hidden in my family’s closet, reigniting the regret and guilt over my estranged mother’s death after years of silence.
And just when I think the past can’t haunt me any further, my ex unexpectedly reappears, reopening old wounds.
As my past collides with our present, I’m torn between longing and resentment.
I’ve built walls around my heart for a reason, determined to shield myself from heartache.
Andrew’s relentless pursuit threatens to break through my defenses, seducing me with an attraction I can’t deny.
This magnetic billionaire is a temptation I can’t resist, even as my secrets threaten to unravel us both.
If only I could let go of the memories and embrace the passion between us, I might discover a love worth fighting for.
I adore the way Mandy writes her characters with passion and humility. These two are stupidly perfect for each other and they both know it!!! I enjoyed watching them go through the struggles separately and together. Watching the way he silently loved her the whole damn time and should have said it waaaay sooner, Andrew had my heart at the beginning and it only made me love the man more by the end.
His sudden appearance in the chaos of my world wasn’t part of the plan, especially when his presence stirs up desire. If only I could let go of the memories and embrace the passion between us, I might discover a love worth fighting for.
Cassidy is drowning her problems in unhealthy ways, and Andrew comes along to try and help her heal. Andrew's character is so patient and unwavering and someone I think we all wish we could have in our lives.
Tropes: - He falls first - Enemies to lovers - Dual POV - Family secrets - Billionaire romance
I really did enjoy reading this book! I wasn’t sure since it is out of my normal genre realm of books i typically pick BUT i loved it! Cassidy and Andrew’s relationship, Cassidy’s past that peak through, and their individual present in time moments really tie together so easily and create a great flow to their story!
Thank you @literaryinspired and @mandysawchuk for the opportunity to read and review!!!

3.5 for me! Cute read! Loved the background stories in this book! It all came together so good in the end! Truly loved the story behind the story in this book! There was a couple different things happening in the back ground but each hold a significance to the story.
This book was SUCH a roller coaster of emotions and twists. I related so much to Cassidy with her anger and frustration while dealing with traumatic experiences in her life with her family and friends, the growth that she showed in this book was honestly satisfying by the end. I could really feel the connection between not only her and Andrew but all the characters involved, there was actual relationships built with some troubles along the way and that felt real. Andrew was definitely a character to fall in love with, I mean who wouldn’t fall hard for the sexy and sophisticated billionaire who’s great in bed?!?! (But also has an attitude) I’m very glad this wasn’t another “love at first sight” type of thing and it actually took time and issues for things to happen in this book. ALSO I was sooooo pleased with the smut in this book, it wasn’t overwhelming but it was definitely enough to get your attention and have you wanting more. Very well done, Would love to read more.
What you’ll love: 🖤 Opposites Attract 👔 Protective Hero 💔 Family Secrets 💥 Enemies to Lovers
The story of Cassidy and Andrew will take you on a ride of emotions. So buckle up for the ride. If you read Bound to the Playboy Billionaire, then you know these two are BFF’s to Mila and Ethan.
Cassidy hides her pain behind drinking and hookups. Andrew is her current hookup. She goes from wanting to jump him to wanting to str@ngle him in a matter of seconds. Her one rule: no emotions.
Cassidy is currently working some feelings when it comes to her family. She was given some news that rocked her world. Her emotions while dealing with this information will hurt your heart strings.
Andrew worries about her and gets frustrated with her constantly pulling him in and pushing him away. Their chemistry is off the charts. He is just what Cassidy needs.
I loved the plot of this story. The banter between Cassidy and Andrew is snarky, sweet and downright dirty. The way this author describes the emotional turmoil and self-doubt Cassidy experiences will leave you wanting a hug.
Bound by the Protector is a great friends to lovers, billionaire romance. It took me a little bit to get into the story, but once it did it was a great read.
Cassidy is emotionally damaged. She has gone through a lot of emotional trauma due to her past experiences. This causes her to build a massive wall around herself, so she doesn't have to face any other heartbreak. She protects herself every chance she gets.
Andrew truly is an amazing character. He repeatedly tries to get her break down her walls. For the most part, he is understanding to her needs. He does run into a moment where he misinterprets a scene, but they are able to overcome this obstacle. Andrew helped make Cassidy a more open person, by accepting their relationship.
I loved the last quarter of the book as it was really involved in their relationship and we get to see them grow stronger by being together and their for each other.
I enjoyed the premise of this book and the characters. This one I felt like had better chemistry than the previous book. There were parts that felt a little bit disjointed and missing in their relationship building in the first part of the book which made it a little harder to get into at first. Once you start getting into the story a bit it improves and becomes more about them and their interactions. I do wish we had a little more of his perspective to help establish his character more. I enjoyed his character development once it got past the surface level descriptions and plot. They had good relationship growth together and she had made some good progress in growing through some of her challenges. I am enjoying seeing the evolution of this author and her growth and finding footing in her writing style.
Bound to the Protector by Mandy Sawchuk is a steamy novel about a billionaire coming to the rescue.
Cassidy is hurt and has build a wall around herself, but Andrew has a way to get near to her. They are friends with benefits and those scenes are very steamy. Cassidy is a complex character due to events in the past and when she finds out the secret about her father, Andrew is there to help her. The emotional trauma and revelation about this secret was very well written. Andrew is a great character, he gives Cassidy space she needs. The chemistry between them is fantastic.
The writing style is flowing and the story-line is nice (the first pages were very humurous), and it is not just a billionaire romance but has some depth to it.
All in all I enjoyed reading this book. It is a good enemies/friends to lovers story, with banter, some twist and turns, and much spice.
I ready the first book in this series and DEVOURED it! I loved it so much. This one was a little harder for me to get into.
With the characters, at times I felt the FMC was very childish. I understand the traumas and the need for growth and how it all impacts her but at times it felt to be a little much and unrealistic. HOWEVER I still adored her, the firey attitude, and the fact she never gave up. It was very concerning some of the choices she made, but that's all part of the story! The MMC was well written, I just wish we got a little bit more from his side. We got 3-4 chapters from his perspective and I loved them! I will say, they felt like they may have been placed in the wrong order, but they were fabulous to read regar dless.
There were a few spots where I felt we completely missed a chapter of content and I was very confused by the new location or goal of a chapter. That Made it hard to read, but I was eventually able to figure it out!
Overall, I enjoyed the book, and for those that love to see characters overcome trauma and find love through it all, I definitely recommend.
I found this book hard to get into. Maybe because I hadn’t read the first book (which was my own fault) and so I didn’t feel anything for the characters immediately and so it felt rushed. BUT once I got into it I did really enjoy it. There was a couple unexpected twists, the spice was SPICY 🌶️ 🥵 , and the ending tied it all together really well. It felt like it was resolved nicely at the end.
Andrew is sexy & protective. And our fmc works through trauma and is strong and fierce in the face of it all!
Overall enjoyed this book and will be adding the first one onto my TBR! Also love supporting a fellow Albertan❤️🇨🇦
🥵🥵🥵 I was NOT expecting the heat between the sheets!
Cassi is perfectly written as the FMC who just doesn't have life together. Most of her issues come from unresolved past trauma, and until her brother shows up, she's fine "ignoring" it. Andrew is the workaholic MMC who is ready to settle down but is still held back from heartbreak. We all know the workaholic type, but this man is also a cinnamon roll for the right woman.
The secret trysts between Cassi and Andrew have the sheets on 🔥🔥 and keeping it a secret from their best friends, who are married, isn't as easy as they think. Working through their own, unexpected, trauma and heartbreak brings them together in the most unusual of ways.
Tropes: FwB to Lovers Hidden Romance Family Trauma
While I did like this book, I did find that I felt myself getting a little lost and confused at the beginning. I think it may have been because I didn't read the first book beforehand, which is my own fault for not doing this. Even so, everything ironed out slightly, and I found the read enjoyable after this. Both the characters and the plot were very well written and executed, and the spice was really good, too. I found myself wishing that both the FMC and MMC would just get their acts together at certain points, but their relationship built nicely! Would recommend the read, and I will be getting the first book to read soon.
There is a roller coaster of emotions. Cassidy is emotionally damaged and has gone through a ton of emotional trauma. Because of this she has built a huge wall around her and protects herself any and every chance she gets.
Andrew is amazing! He tries to break down Cassidy’s walls and is very understanding of her needs. Andrew slowly gained Cassidys trust and her walls started to come down and she started to open up. A huge part of her opening up was her acceptance of their relationship. Cassidy had grown so much and Andrew helped with that. Cassidy was also able to face her past.
Cassidy and Andrew have a friends with benefits arrangement and while he eventually desires more, she is emotionally stunted by her past. Family issues arise that compound into intense emotional chaos withing her which only amplified the drama in this story and interfere with her growing relationship with Andrew. The chemistry between them was off the charts and I loved that he was patient with her for the most part. This was an entertaining and highly emotional read.
I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily leave this review.
Cassidy certainly is a complex character and sees the bottom of a bottle and no strings as the best way to cope with all her previous trauma and whilst Andrew is ok with their arrangement at first this changes. I enjoyed seeing Andrew fall first, however also seeing Cassidy start to waver on her current path but it's a rough road to go down and with her push/pull going on with Andrew I wouldn't blame his if he decided to walk away so you keep reading needing to know if things work out for them both!
I really wanted to like this one just as much as the first one but it was hard to get into. I felt as though it kept jumping to the next scene without any real context and it confused me at times. I do love the plot and Cassidy/Andrew but the confusing begining made it a 3 star for me.
Spicy Rating 🌶🌶 out of 5
Def has some spice factor but not as much as the first in the series. The begining spice scenes sadly confused me as well.
Overall I wished it flowed like the first one but still a great read!
-Enemies to lovers -Dual POV -Opposites Attract -Secrets and Lies -Family Secrets
Damn. Like woah, this was so good. The suspense of every chapter was a kíller. I quite literally never knew what was coming next. Start to finish I loved Cassidy and Andrew’s story. The two of them together was a heart melter. I almost wanna say so loved their story more than Mila and Ethan’s. The character development was so well written. Mandy just does a phenomenal job at writing. I highly recommend!
ARC Review ✨️ ☆Emotional roller-coaster☆ Cassidy and Andrew are both amazing characters. Unfortunately, Cassidy has been through the ringer with her past relationships and now has a hard time letting anyone get close to her. Andrew is dedicated to the work life and also finds himself struggling to get back into the game. Along their journey of healing, they discover they just might be what both of them needed all along. This book is filled with a magnificent plot, so many emotions, and loveable characters 😍 The relationship formed between our main characters was easily enjoyable, and the spice was amazing!
Oh my goodness!!! I am so in love with this book. This is my first work of art by this author and I am truly captivated in her writing. This book made me cry in several spots. There were some sad cries, happy cries, cries of frustration, and cries of understanding. I had to read this book twice before I could rate it to see if it got better than the first time I read it. The spice level was great. Thank you for writing a book that I felt like I could envision very easily with your creativity. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone.
I read the first book in December, and absolutely loved it, so I was very excited to start this book. Despite the fact that I read the first book, I found this one a little confusing. The beginning felt a little rushed and it took me a bit to get into it. However, once I got into the book, I enjoyed it. I like how Andrew accepted Cassidy just as she was and gave her the space that she needed while she coped and dealt with her issues.
I enjoyed my ARC copy of Bound to the Protector by Mandy Sawcheck given to me by Literary Inspired.
I was hooked right at the start and enjoyed each character, especially Andrew. Such a sweetheart! It is a very typical Billionaire trope romance which I do tend to enjoy as well.
I did end up with a couple of questions not clearly answered at the end so would very much enjoy chatting with someone else once they get a chance to read it.
Cassidy is Mila and Ethan's friend. Cassidy had a different childhood. She had fallen in love with a jerk who manipulated her into doing many wrong things. As she grew older, graduated high school and moved from her small town to New York she realized and was very angry over being used. So when a good guy came along, Andrew, she did not know how to be. Then her brother shows up and he is has some very bad news for her, which makes her spiral downward.
I enjoyed this one probably a little bit more than the others. I was a little disappointed that the last 10% seemed to be rushed and repeat itself a little but still absolutely enjoyed Cassidy and Andrew’s story.
Recommended if you love: -Opposites Attract -Protective Hero -Family Secrets -Enemies to Lovers -High Spice Level -Wealth and Power -Secrets and Lies -Jealousy
I absolutely loved the leads in the book. I found them so humble, so relatable and just adorable. I love a good he falls first book! I also loved how strong Cassidy was and how she had some really hard shit thrown at her and she just continued to push through and chase her dreams. I love how no matter how many times she tried so push him away Andrew kept trying to win her over. I highly reccomend this book as it’s so good! Such a beautiful love story
This book took me ONLY 3 hours to read!! The author goes into so much detail. Be warned a lot of smut scenes. You can picture the scenes in your head. Andrew tries to break down her walls, she has encased herself in., related to family issues Is he able to break down her iced heart??? Well read the book to find out.. You will not be disappointed
This was very slow to start & I couldn’t get into the characters or storyline but I didn’t give up… soon I was heavily invested in these characters & wanted to know more & was so happy I carried on reading!!
I wish we got more Andrew Chapters but I was very happy overall with the story, the spice & everything in between!!
Bound To The Protector includes friends to lovers, and a billionaire romance. The spice is spicy and the characters Cassidy and Andrew complete each other.
It felt rushed at the beginning, and I hade some questions that were left unanswered but that is okay with me. I read it a couple of times before, and wanted to perfect my review. I finished Bound To The Protector in one sitting.
This was a very emotional story and I really enjoyed the way that Andrew was able to help Cassidy heal from her trauma. Would highly recommend this if you love protective MMCs and the FMC going through a healing journey of self discovery. Thank you to Literary Inspired PR and Mandy Sawchuk for the ARC of this story.
I couldn't put it down 😁. I really liked this story, I felt a kinship with Cassie and related to her trauma and emotions. There's a great flow to this story of traumatic past, woman empowerment, protective male and healing 😀 oh and wowza 🌶️🌶️🌶️ 'insert blushing, fanning the face' ☺️ spice is definitely right 😉 where can I find a man like Andrew?
