The first field deployment of Lieutenant Tul, a rookie woman officer assigned to the Criminal Investigation Department, unexpectedly brings her face to face with Dr. Cherran from the Institute of Forensic Science. Their different working attitudes create a considerable gap between them, making challenging for both to find common ground.
Amidst crimes that reflect the problems of modern society, Detective Tul Salso has to deal with pressure from a working system that favors influential groups in Thailand. She navigates through the red tape designed to protect the rich and powerful, whose agendas may greatly affect the outcome of the case
At least Tul's integrity remains intact in the midst of such challenges. When she teams up with Cherran, a woman forensic doctor, they methodically analyze the evidence left at crime scenes, leading them closer to identifying the perpetrators. With time, both Tul and Cherran grow to trust each other more, working tirelessly to protect the lives of the innocent and provide final justice to the bereaved families.
Neither expects, of course, to fall in love with the other.
I loved it. It was amazing from beginning to end. Saphic relationship + kind of 'CIS' + kind of 'Bones' IS WONDERFUL. It has a little bit of romance, but I feel like it was enough for the story. I can't wait to see Englot as Lt. Tul and Dr. Ran. 😭❤️🩹
I give it 10/10. Love the pace and the fact that Tul is not the typical clueless cop that let thing fall to the cracks. The friendship with che-ran is the Greenest and I like how they provide support to each other looking forward to vol 2
i never thought my first thai novel would have me in such a chokehold, but here we are. i am completely obsessed.
there is nothing better than two brilliant, headstrong women who start as rivals but are secretly living rent-free in each other's heads. the banter was lethally sharp and the slow-burn tension was just perfection.
