His good looks and charm drew me in, and once he discovered my vulnerabilities, he exploited them mercilessly. Despite knowing he was toxic, I fell under his spell, yearning for a sense of belonging.
Four years later, I finally found someone who treated me with the love and respect I deserved. But he clawed his way back into my life. Despite everything we had been through, I realized I was still ensnared by him, bound in ways I couldn't escape. He was relentless, determined to reclaim what he believed was his. But this time, I would stop at nothing to prove him wrong.
Bound To Me is book three in the Consumed Series. It contains explicit sexual content, very dark themes, and a laundry list of triggers which can be found on my website at authorcassandravega.com.
WOW!! This book will send you on an emotional rollercoaster so buckle up!
Jackie had a very toxic relationship that she just can’t seem to shake and let go of. Then she meets an older man, Elliott, who shows her time and time again what a healthy relationship is. But of course coming from a toxic relationship years ago, it’s hard for her to accept.
There will be times in this book that you are literally yelling at Jackie and her actions. I wanted to reach into the screen and shake her lol.
This was my first book to Cassandra Vega’s and I fell in love with her writing. This is book 3 of the series and you don’t have to read the first two, I think I’m going to go back so I can have a better understanding of Jackie.
Please check your trigger warnings before reading!

Wow , I don’t know where to start. This is book 3 in the consumed series and well, this series has indeed consumed me. This is my first series of Cassandra’s and I’m blow away at how good it is.
Now this is a dark romance so make sure you read any and all triggers before walking in to make sure there’s nothing that triggers you.
So this story follows Jackie from the first 2 books and goes in depth about how she ended up where she at. Back story, she was in the Foster system in LA where she eventually ran away from in her teens. Now as mentioned, this story does go from now and then a lot but it works really well to understand her and how she ended up meeting Michael.
Now Michael and Jackie meet each other on a BDSM dating site and everything seemed perfect because in Jackie eyes, he’s the most perfect person to ever exist. But as most story’s goes, it’s never perfect and it always becomes very toxic and that’s pretty much what happens here.
Now in the present, Michael is in prison and she is trying to move on from a very traumatic and abusive relationship she had with him. She ends up meeting an older man named Elliott who shows her what it’s like to be in a healthy relationship. But with such a tricky past, it’s hard for her to make that jump to happiness.
Now there are times and this book where you will literally want to yell at Jackie because like girl what are you doing. But I am happy for Jackie at the end of everything.
With this being my first series of Cassandra’s, man I am hooked. The was one emotional rollercoaster but such a well written, well detailed story that I will definitely read this again. I will continue to read her books because this is definitely on my top 10 best series I’ve read ever. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be apart of this arc but also being to read such a masterpiece. Please read this series all together but also remember to read triggers to make sure there’s nothing here that would hurt you because this is a dark romance.
Bound to me is the 3rd book in the series but it can be read as a stand alone.
My god this book was an emotional rollercoaster, so have some tissues at the ready!
Jacky is a black cat FMC whose is trying to move on from her previous relationship, there were a few moments where she came over abit vexatious but I loved her character development. Elliot is a Golden retriever MMC and I love how he showed Jacky how a real HEALTHY relationship should be.
This book touches on DV and does an amazing job on spotlighting women who have struggled with being believed in DV cases.
Please check the trigger warnings before you dive into this one, your mental health matters
Running to read Book 1 & 2 of this series now 🏃♀️
He shattered my world. His good looks and charm drew me in, and once he discovered my vulnerabilities, he exploited them mercilessly. Despite knowing he was toxic, I fell under his spell, yearning for a sense of belonging.
Wow! What a read! So good! This book has me in an absolute chokehold, I absolutely loved it!! A roller coaster of emotions, Jackie the FMC takes you on such a strong character development journey throughout and her story keeps you captivated. Favourite Quote: I belonged to him. I was bound to him. And I feared that I always would be, no matter what
Tropes: - Age Gap - Black Cat FMC - Golden retriever MMC - Morally Grey - BDSM
So, I got this as an ARC but due to depression & just… being in a reading slump, I didn’t get around to it. I started this book yesterday morning and absolutely devoured it in less than a day. I couldn’t put it down.
This is the 3rd book in the Consumed Series and it is absolutely phenomenal.
I loved seeing the backstory to Jackie and finding out what her life was like before and with Michael.
The twists and turns in the book coupled with the spice was perfect.
As always, the writing was phenomenally done. Each chapter switching between the present and past was done flawlessly and wasn’t hard to follow like it can be sometimes.
I loved everything about this story, the ending, Elliott, and just… everything. I can’t go much into detail about it all without giving too much away, but if you haven’t read the Consumed Series, I 100% recommend it.
Thank you to Cassandra Vega for allowing me to read this! I’m sorry my review is super late 😮💨🥲

“If you’re lucky, you’ll be calling me daddy by the end of the night”
WOW! The prologue totally caught me off guard and had me INSTANTLY hooked!
FULL of spice, twists and revenge, Cassandra had me hooked from the first page! This book 3 in the Consumed series and it had me absolutely consumed!
Jackie, from books 1 & 2 is our FMC. After a troubling past, she runs away from foster care where she struggles to get on her own two feet until she meets Michael. Knowing that their relationship is toxic, she can’t help but going back to him time after time because all she wants is to feel wanted.
After Michael winds up in jail, and trying to sink his claws back into her life, Jackie makes another break for it and attempts to escape back to LA. On her flight back she meets the older, attractive Elliot. Not wanting to be rude, but also not wanting to involve the seemingly perfect Elliot in her disaster called life, she tries to go against giving him any chance.
Elliot is the ultimate alpha golden retriever l MMC. He is protective, loving, has an absolute filthy mouth and is an absolute daddy! He is able to show Jackie what a healthy relationship should be and what she truly deserves.
This is my first then/now POV and I loved it! It was a great way to help understand Michael and Jackie’s relationship and the trauma that she went through. There will be times where you just want to scream at Jackie but the way she is written is so true to the reality of DV survivors. You can’t help but love her and feel every ounce of emotion as you go through her rollercoaster storyline. Full of shocking moments and surprises, you’ll be kept guessing what is happen next right up to the last page!
This book will wreck you and then put you back together again. All I can say is that it is a dark romance rollercoaster, so strap yourselves in for this story.
Jacqueline is running from a tragic past, a trauma-filled childhood, and an even worse ex who will do everything to get her back. The author did a great job exploring some of the darker aspects of trauma and how those events can change one's psyche—the push and pull between wanting to change and not knowing how is so powerful. I also adored Elliott and his role in the story. He is patient and kind and is the backbone of Jacqueline's journey into healing.
The storytelling was fast-paced but fit the book's length and was told in a then vs. now format. This was well done because it was a mix of Jackie's current situation and the moments that slowly led her there, almost like a puzzle slowly solving itself.
There was a bit of an Insta connection moment in the beginning, but it fits in with the characters and the story being told. I can't even begin to tell you how much I loved the way the author brought in elements of BDSM but also dived into healthy aspects of a dom/sub relationship and how a relationship could go wrong. I don't want to say too much because of spoilers, but she did an excellent job balancing and showing the light and dark of these characters.
I didn't expect the twist and loved how the book ended. If you like dark romance, high spice with some BDSM, trauma, and mental health rep, and an FMC who finds her strength, then this book is perfect for you. I can't wait to read more from this author.

“I belonged to him. I was bound to him. And I fear that I always would be, no matter what”
Bound to Me follows our FMC Jackie, her tragic past and her current life in a Now/Then POV. Jackie left her life in California at 16, after going in and out of the foster care system and made her way to Las Vegas for a few years before ending up in New York. When she gets to New York, her life is turned upside down by Michael. She meets Michael on a BDSM site and let’s just say from her first meeting, she was so obsessed she ignored ALL the red flags (they weren’t even good red flags). Michael abused her and mutilated her body before he threw her aside.
Fast forward, Michael ended up in prison for kidnapping and assaulting other women and Jackie finally decides to leave New York for a fresh start in Los Angeles. On her flight back, she meets a man named Elliot who is a hot middle aged therapist. Jackie is standoff-ish due to her traumatic past but eventually she follows him on instagram when she’s drug and that’s the start of her new healthier obsession.
Throughout the book, we learn what Jackie went through during her time with Michael and why she feels like she’s so damaged. Michael surprises Jackie in California and shit gets real, FAST. The plot twist and “oh shit” moments are jaw dropping.

First a foremost, I applied to be an ARC reader not knowing this was the third book in a series 🤦🏽♀️ but that’s okay! lol I did NOT read the first two books yet, but I definitely will be after finishing this one!! And honestly, it was really good as a stand-alone also 😁This story follows Jackie and her abusive and obsessive relationship with Michael. It is set in past and present tense, from when she first met Michael to now, where Michael is getting out of prison. While Jackie is trying to start new and build a life for herself after her traumatic relationship with Michael, she unexpectedly falls in love with the gorgeous older man she meets on her plane to LA. She attempts to keep her distance because she believes she is damaged goods, but Elliott is too handsome and caring for her to not be drawn to him. But now Michael is out, and he wants what belongs to him…
The amount of emotions I have felt while reading this book is unbelievable. It was such a good read, though definitely make sure to read the trigger warnings before jumping in!! @author.cassandravega , I absolutely devoured this and I enjoyed every single second of it!!! Thank you so much again for giving me the privilege of reading your book, I cannot wait to see what you come up with next 😁 ⭐️5/5 LOVEDDDDD!!
Normally don't say this because I think we're all adults and know what we like to read but please check the trigger warning on this book because it could be a lot for some with that being said. This is the third book in The Consumed Series and let me tell you it does not disappoint. In this book we follow in close detail the story of Jackie and her traumatic and abusive relationship with Michael. In her search for a new life she meets an older Gorgeous gentleman that she is attracted to right away but she wants to keep a distance because she's damaged or so she thinks. Elliot comes into her life to show her what a real Dom Sub relationship is like and just when she thinks she's getting her happily ever after someone from her past comes in to torment her. She will soon find out that she is not as weak as she thinks and she will get her revenge. You have to read this if you are into dark romance with a lot of spicy because just like book one and two this one is very spicy and full of plot twist.
another hit by Cassandra Vega this book is dark, sexy, spicy, kinky and so much more.
So, so satisfying, this read leaves you with nothing but a wicked smile and absolute elation as a woman so manipulated, tortured, and used gets her sweet, sweet, bloody revenge! It makes your heart literally ache for Jaqueline, blows your mind at every twisted thing Michael has done to have complete control, and immaculately wraps up a trilogy that has been nothing short of an unputdownable psychological and emotional roller coaster. This book totally tears you apart as you read through all the lies, manipulation, degradation, and abuse that Jaqueline has been put through, and the internal struggle that plays out as she has the one thing she's always wanted dangled in front of her like a deadly shiny toy. It is incredibly well written, walking you through the grief, the realization of how far a woman has let herself fall, and how she finally fights back, in a way that you can empathize with, see stone cold clearly, and understand completely. It's a hell of a ride that's insanely enjoyable through every twisted second!
Idk where to start with my review. First off read the triggers from the author. This isn’t a book I would have picked for myself because of how dark it is but took a chance on as a ARC read and I honestly wasn’t disappointed. This was an eye opener to myself in my 20’s, meaning I understand the FMC way more than I should. I enjoyed the Now and Then/back and forth chapters aspect. FMC has many tragic moments and it adds to her character with great insight to her feelings and thought process both past and present. The MMC you despise and what a great job on his character development. Who doesn’t want this asshat dead? What a tale it was and she did a great job telling it.
⚠️suicide attempt ⚠️bdsm ⚠️ daddy kink ⚠️ dirty talk ⚠️ mutilation ⚠️ choking ⚠️ sex while unconscious ⚠️ D/S ⚠️ spanking ⚠️ violation of safe word
Another knock out of the park by author Cassandra Vega! This is Book 3 in The Consumed Series and it is Amazing!!!! I think this one could honestly be read as a stand alone.
This book tells the story of Jackie, Michael’s “crazy ex”. This book does do a back and fourth between “then” and “now” time frames, but it is super easy to follow. It starts with Jackie, as a child, swimming at her house in LA while her parents are inside yelling. She hears a loud noise like “the 4th of July” and her daddy comes out and tells her he has to go and not to go inside the house. Jackie is use to he daddy yelling and leaving so she doesn’t think anything of it and keeps playing in the pool until she gets hungry. She gets out and goes inside to find her mommy to fix her a snack. She finally finds her in her bedroom covered in “red stuff” and knows that she is dead.
Jackie grows up in and out of foster care and runs away as soon as she’s able to in her late teens. As the story goes back and fourth we find out that she grew up in LA, ran away and eventually moved to Las Vegas for a bit until she saved up enough money to move to New York… where she encounters Michael.
She meets Michael on a BDSM dating site and she can’t believe her eyes. He is the most perfect handsome man she’s ever seen in her life. He messages her and she reply’s something to the sort of “I don’t believe you’re real”. And… he face time calls her! Feeling brave, she answers, and finds out he is in fact real. They set up a time to meet to see if they are compatible. She has never been in a BDSM relationship so she is nervous but eager to learn. This is the beginning to a very bad relationship. I’m going to leave this at that as to not spoil it for readers.
Fast forward to the “Now” parts of the story. Jackie is no longer with Michael. He is in prison. She gets a phone call and it’s him saying he will be out soon and he’s coming to find his “sweet Jackie”. Without thinking.. she throws the phone away, gets a new one, packs up her belongings, buys a ticket and is moving to back to the only other place she knows… LA! She doesn’t want to be anywhere close to where he can reach her terrified both of him and of being sucked back into his manipulative arms. She hasn’t been with anyone since Michael. That was 4 years ago. She’s basically been an empty depressive shell. She wants nothing to do with men because she couldn’t trust them. As she’s boarding her flight she looks up and sees the most handsome man, more handsome than Michael, and he is smiling at her. She averts her eyes. She gets to her seat and lo and behold… he is her seat mate. He is older than her. He is very nice. He helps her with her carry on, even after she told him she didn’t need help and then had to admit she did need help. He tries to make small talk and she responds shortly to each question before finally telling him she really would rather be left alone. Through the flight she knows she was probably rude to the man and ends up apologizing a couple of times to him and he brushes it off saying he understands! He does make a bold move asking if he can give her his card in case she might want to meet up for a drink. She accepts! Thus we meet… Elliott!
Jackie takes a bus to a hostile to an area she remembers use to be the hot spots around and settles in. She has enough money for 1 week so she gets settled in and starts applying for jobs! Once she finally gets one… she is depressed she has no one to share the good news with… so, She messages Elliott and agrees to meet up as friends for a drink to celebrate! And so it begins!
There’s so much in this story that I could go on and on but it would truly spoil it and I will not do that!!! Just trust me! You want to read it!!! It’s dark and twisted and end up loving and hating characters. Then the last chapters were unexpected but loved!!! Oh yea.. and the spice!!!!! Let me tell you!!! It’s hot!!!!
"He was right: I belonged to him. I was bound to him. And I feared that I always would be."
What a wild read that I absolutely devoured! This story was traumatic and heartbreaking but also eye-opening. Dark romance is just that, dark, and this story is no exception. It really explores that ever present line between an approriate dom/sub relationship and domestic violence as well as shines a light on how women in situations similar sturggle to be believed. This story is definitely not for everyone so readers should be prepared in advance going into it but if you are able to read, you definitely should. It can be read as a stand-alone but I feel reading the first two books beforehand really make the storyline that much better.
Bound to Me is book three in the Consumed Series. This is an extremely dark read, so reader be advised of the TW.
This book had events which overlap with the previous books in the series. We get to see Michael being his true vindictive and manipulative self with how he interacts and treats Jackie. This was dark and twisted, but it really gives you new insight into Jackie and her motives behind some of her actions. Michael really did a number on her and you see this a lot in the flash back moments throughout the book. This was an interesting addition to the series as we get to see more into the character of Jackie and really get to understand her thoughts and get the explanation of how she was manipulated by Michael.
Man so many emotions from this book! This book touches on a lot of dark points but it’s so good! Elliot and Jackie just wow. I really wanted to be mad at Jackie throughout this whole book, but then I had to think about the naive girl she was when she first met Michael and how he manipulated her. They just made me really forgiving for her and really want her to find her happiness and love herself. Elliot broke my heart for a minute with the big shocking point in the book (which I did not see coming) but through it all I loved Elliot and how much he was a rock for her. I didn’t read books 1 & 2, but book 3 really touched on some of the stuff so I wasn’t lost, but I do want to go back and read them.

Thoughts So much angst, it had me crying what kept happening to the poor FMC Jackie. The storytelling was quite interesting as we saw Jackie back and forth between the past and now. Cassandra writes in a way that makes you resonate with her characters- they seem so realistic. This is a very tough story to get through and may trigger some. It was a great wrap up to the trilogy and had a satisfying conclusion and HEA.
🛑Please read all the author warnings as there are themes and events that could be triggering. There is active stalking and severe DV described in this story. ARC Review- ebook provided by author in exchange for an honest review.
Now this one this one was some crazyyyyyy like I thought the first two books were wild no. This right here ga e the TEA Cassandra came to serve and SERVE she did!!!!! Wow this series has been amazing. Hearing Jackie’s story and all the crazy twists.Elliots little (or not so little) secret really had my ass like ummm what???? Unfortunately I did fall in love with the wrong man in this series so it was rough cus for some reason no matter how bad of a person he was depicted to be I still rooted for him 😂. But I’m still glad on how it ended that was the realllllll plot twist I wasn’t expecting this book was absolutely everything I didn’t know I needed and it ready to read it all again.
In ‘Bound To Me’ Jackie is ready to share her side of the story. While I enjoyed reading this book as a standalone novel, I would recommend reading the first two books to have a better understanding of how the series is started.
In ‘Bound To Me’ we got to dive into the story from Jackie’s perspective. She is a woman who was searching for love, found it but it was found in the wrong place. A woman who had already been through trials in her life, only to be tested more by an evil man. Jackie’s story is one of a woman who is determined to overcome her self doubts and find her happiness.
I had the absolute honor of Beta reading this book!!
I knew I was going to be a wreck throughout this story but I did not know I was going to be sobbing while writing this review. This story of surviving domestic violence is so beautiful, the overwhelming obstacles Jackie (and Hana) overcame and how they made new lives for themselves made me so happy. I love seeing growth in a person and this book absolutely exceeded that. This story is truly emotional, but worth every second.
I will be buying this book in hardcovers and author signed. Because these are a must need trophies on my shelf. Everything about this book truly tied the first 2 together. And in the past POVs showed how a character truly is when we didn’t know it before. I honestly rooted for a monster for a good moment before even I realized what was going on. This is one of those books later on you’ll wish you could reread and experience for the first time all over again.
Thankful for the arc! What is very important is checking the trigger warnings for this book(the series in general). I went in blind faith, and wished I had checked to prepare myself. With that being said, I Ioved getting to learn things from Jackie’s side. And Elliot has been my favorite man in the series. I’m really hoping for a book 4.
Jackie comes from a very bad relationship. Now that she finds herself a new person. It’s hard for her to get close. Jackie tries hard. Her past is hard to over come. Now that Elliott is showing her what a good relationship. Her way of thinking is changing. She’s a hard head one do, so be ware. Emotion at every turn but loved it .
OMG THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING I LOVED THE 1 &2 BOOK WO MUCH! BUT I LOVE THAT WE GET TO FINALLY HEAR THE FULL STORY ABOUT JACKIE! SHE HAS BEEN THROUGH HELL AND BACK WITH MICHEAL AND HE IS A POS! BUT IN THE END THE GIRLS WIN!
YALL NEED TO GO GET THIS BOOK! ALSO PLEASE READ TRIGGER WARNINGS! 🔟🔟 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
For most of this book I really wasn't sure what I thought. I tossed between omg this book is amazing to hmm but is it. But the ending rounded it out for me enough to determine its a yes. Twisted, deprived and oh so dark. Although a romance its certainly more twisted then one would expect.
Wow, I loved this series so much! I read this in basically one sitting! Cassandra Vega had quickly become one of my favourite authors. If you like dark, twisted, spicy and also had a great representation of mental health then doing walk RUN! 🖤🖤
Oh Michael, you crazy SOB lol! We are now following Jackie as she tried to escape the hold Michael has on her heart and on her brain. Fleeing New York, Jackie meets a much older man on her flight to Los Angeles, Elliot. Jackie struggles to trust any man after the emotional/physical scarring Michael has done to her. Jackie finally decides to let her guard down only for Michael to lure her back in. In this winding and 3rd book of The Consumed Series, we get love, revenge and new friendships. I absolutely loved this book and the way Cassandra gave such life to Jackie 🖤

What an emotional read! I was so curious to know what Jackie background was and this book gives you the emotional and raw story of Jackie! You get a front row seat to Michael and Jackie’s relationship and the event came to be. This is a must read story!!
This is amazing series and I loved this story. It is written beautifully and very detailed. This is a emotional read that is a roller coaster of emotions. This story is absolutely heartbreaking and beautiful.
The book was amazing. In some parts of the book the way that the main FMC was treated made me want to scream but I'm glad that she got to be happy in the end
