Three Attempts blew my mind!! This dark, twisty thriller had me hooked from the beginning. This had major Karin Slaughter, Chevy Stevens, and Jennifer Hillier vibes. So if you're a fan of any of those, this is a must-read! I couldn't read it fast enough. When I had to be a responsible adult and wasn't able to read, I was thinking about it. What was going to happen to the girls who had 3 attempts to escape!?! I loved every part of this story and how it unfolded! This is K.B Gratz 2nd book and if you don't check her out, you are missing something amazing!!! Thankful for the opportunity to read this ARC!!!

If you’re a fan of Karen Slaughter, Freida McFadden and Lisa Jewell mixed with a little bit of Saw you’ll love this thriller! I loved all the different POVs from the different girls and the detective, it’s like you’re trying to figure it all out with them. Brace yourself for that twist at the end, you won’t see it coming!

Dark thriller about several girls who vanish and a sick person who is playing games with their lives. Each girl gets 3 attempts to escape, but they have to plan carefully because mistake could cost them their lives.

This book was dark with several twists at the end that I didn’t see coming. If you are in the more for a thriller, this is your book.

Three Attempts will keep you on the edge of your seat! I couldn’t put it down, had to finish in one sitting. This book is testament to just how amazing K.B’s brain is. The themes in this book can be a little harsh for some, falling into a similar category of the SAW films, so you may want to check the trigger warnings at the beginning of the book. It has detailed horror situations, but as any experienced reader knows, the details that paint these vivid scenes are exactly what you need.
Following the story of these 4 girls and the detective assigned to their case was an insane rollercoaster, taking us from past, present and to future. As any good thriller should, it constantly keeps you guessing at what the outcome will be, and continues to prove you wrong.
Once again, THE ENDING?! KB knows how to throw a curve ball!
As a nurse, I enjoyed the correct medical aspects of this book, as some thriller/horror books & movies tend to forget those important details that some of us just can’t ignore.
Three Attempts is a fantastic showcasing of growth for an author. With this being KB’s second book release, her writing and ability to give us back ground without over doing it is exceptional. If you haven’t read her first, I highly recommend doing so, I loved finding a tiny connection to The Experiment in this book! All in all this book was wonderfully written, and once again I cannot wait to see what else KB gives us in the future!

This book follows the life of a troubled boy who just wants love. You meet multiple different girls from all walks of life. The thing these girls have in common is, all 4 have a target on their backs. Will they survive? Is three attempts enough? Find out in the white knuckle gripping novel!

This was a different than my normal reads! If you enjoyed the Saw movies you will definitely love this book! Check trigger warning before starting. The growth from KB’s first and second book are insane! The details were great and I was never left wondering about any part of the book!

Whoa! What a ride this book took me on! Once I got into this book I could not put it down, I HAD to know what happened next, who was behind it all, how will they solve this! There were twists and turns all along the way. Told from multiple viewpoints, keeping me hooked the whole time wanting to know each character’s story. KB Gratz is at it again! To be a new author, I am amazed at her work. This book is more intense than the last. It does have several trigger warnings so read them before you start. Three Attempts sends you on a roller coaster ride where you don’t see the next turn. It gives me Saw vibes with Freida McFadden’s style of suspense. I can’t wait to see what books come in the future.

Picked up and couldn’t put down. I was on the edge of my seat and biting my finger nails. It was very gruesome but only made my imagination run wilder. It’s like I was experiencing what was happening along with the main characters. The twist at the end was also soooo…. TWISTY. Ugh, it’s really all I can say. Was very shocked and in the best way. Thoroughly enjoyed and will recommend.

4⭐️Full disclosure -This is not my typical kinda read (and I’m going need a few fluffy romances to recover), but if you love dark and twisty, and want a quick read then this is for you :)
It took me 10 days because of life stuff but it for sure could be read easily in around 2.
The story was smart and fast paced, with many different POVs, (which I like) and it had a wow kinda plot twist at the end which for me makes a book like this 👏
Trigger warnings are included in the opening disclosure and I think that was a good thing.
Excellent job by the author on her Sophomore release.
