The World of Order has fractured.

Kyla's defeat of Erebus scattered his forces. Victims of the Long Night struggle to rebuild. Now disaffected disciples and hapless victims of circumstance have become desperate. Bandits have clustered into gangs, and frightened civilians are fighting for answers.

As the King and Queen try to cope with civil unrest, Kyla is hired by a mysterious woman who wishes to gather the fragments of the Stele of Bachtris, the stones once sought by Erebus and his disciples. Dangerous missions send her back to Alfheim, the home of the cloistered Digans, and deep into the jungles of Laenith to seek the secretive and deadly ciguapa.

These missions prove the easy part, for Kyla's life is soon thrown into a turmoil from which she may never recover, and causes her to question her loyalties.

About the author

Bryant's fascination with fantasy and storytelling began at a play in the gymnasium of a small school in the village of Rosemary, Alberta, Canada. In this play, the main character encountered a talking wall, of all things! which blew four-year-old Bryant's mind. He became an avid reader, and in elementary school he particularly loved Lloyd Alexander's 'Chronicles of Prydain', and perhaps developed a bit of a school-boy crush on Princess Eilonwy. Years later he decided to write books of his own, and after a few false starts opted to self-publish after discovering that agents and publishers were really into love triangles at the time, and he wasn't into writing them. So the breath of life was given to Elf Mastery, which led to the sequels, Elf Doubt and Elf Righteous, as well as Loveless Amends, which was written in two weeks for NaNoWriMo 2020.

Bryant's goals have now shifted from writing books to creating animated series. Will this dream come to pass? Stay tuned to find out!

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. This one picked up where the other left off. Kayla is on to another mission. It is still kind of grim for the people of this world. She is doing the quest which seems to put her life in danger. She is questioning those that are around her and she is not sure who to trust anymore. She does not seem to be the sweet girl she was when the series started. It ends on a cliff hanger with action still going on. I want to know what happens next.
