I feel nostalgic reading this book, it reminded me of the bedtime stories my grandparents used to tell.
Kalee is an introverted girl with fewer friends and a curious character by nature. She stumbles upon mysterious twins Thunder and Tendrilla in her garden one night and joins forces with them and helps her discover mysteries happening in and around the garden.
I loved how each chapter tackles on different story with an underlying message in it. My favorite one was using orange peels as an alternative to leather. The writing is engaging and descriptive which feels like everything happening in front of your eyes. The underlying message of environmental protection adds a positive layer to the story. The idea of a hidden world, mysterious twins, and a secret mission to protect the environment made it an exciting read. I had hoped for a better ending like Kalee meeting her mother and the landlady moving to the garden forever.

The story revolves around Kalee, a young girl. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she encounters mysterious twins in her garden. This takes her on an unforgettable journey filled with intrigue and supernatural elements. Not only her. We will also be taken into a fun filled ride along with her.
For me the pacing is a bit uneven in certain parts. There are some scenes which I feel are rushed while others are more drawn out. But the story definitely remains engaging and enjoyable for children.
One of the standout features of the book I would say is its strong character development. I enjoyed the characterisation of Kalee and the twins through which the author has taught an important lesson to the young readers to protect our environment. The book also explores the importance of family and the courage to face the unknown.
The descriptions were so good that it brings the fictional world to life, allowing young readers to visualize the settings and the magical occurrences easily. The illustrations added extra value to the story. Definitely a very good fictional book for early readers with such a great message and simple word building.

• The most appealing lines are these ones. Regardless of your age, you secretly long to return to childhood! Yes, I am aware. You will be enthralled with the atmosphere created by KALEE AND THE MYSTERIOUS TWINS and find it impossible to put this book down. 💜🍂🌙
• KALEE is able to solve whatever is present. That Whisper—what is it? The main protagonists are Biji and Uncle VJ. They are kind and helpful. Kalee, though, is aware of the unknown. Two interesting herbohumanomorphic powers have become her friends, and they are very nice. 🎯🦋🌻
• The twins gradually become friends, and she even gives them names, Thunder and Tendrilla. Their natural tendency is to defend themselves and come clean. Their language is something - you can say they are cute. I'm jealous of their friendship. But at the same time I love how Uncle VJ supports Kalee and her decisions. ❄️🌟😭
• Protecting the environment and exposing the truths are their goals. They confront obstacles, enemies, and the possibility of discovery with countless opportunities ahead of them. Kalee, it’s Kuh-lee, not Kahlee. Kuh-lee as in a flower bud. I will be honest I still kept on pronouncing her name as Kahlee as our Durga Mata.
It’s a unique story with a lot to learn from it. I went into the book with the mindset of reading a middle-grade book, but I think the age group is a lot lower than middle-grade. It’s not that I didn’t like it. I enjoyed it but the main character Kalee is not my vibe hehe.
This book perfectly captures that lively curiosity in every child, which goes away as we grow up. The end message of saving our environment is really great, it makes me embarrassed as it makes me think, What am I doing for our environment?
I know this feeling will stay with me just for a while but if a child reads this I think it is pretty impressionable. So, it is a great book from the point of view of 10-12 year olds.

The cover picture, illustrations inside the book, page quality, everything has my heart. The story was engaging and fast-paced with twists and turns. The language used is simple and easy to understand. The author's writing and description is flawless, which makes everything vivid. It is a beautiful book which teaches us the importance of plants and gardens. It can be finished in one sitting. I hope every young reader reads this book.

Also, the back of the book is an extension of the front cover; one can see the whole picture when they hold both front and back together. The scenery looks like a garden. The font size is 12 and does not strain your eyes while reading. Along with this, the readers will be looking st some illustrations middle of the chapters to understand the scene better.

If you have a kid at home, do buy it for them. With the easiest language and understandable story plot, you will be able to make it a good night time story for your kids. If you are an adult, you might find it too good to be true but I can attest as a 26 year old adult that sometimes I read stories which are too good to be true just to feel a positive vibe.

🪄This book offers a beautiful story that showcases a very beautiful imaginative mind by the author, a story that though intended for kids and young readers would also effectively capture the attention of grown ups too because I believe we all have that little kid in our heart alive who will enjoy this encapsulating ideas of a half human and half tree twins who though newly got familiar with this human world is super intelligent and smart and therefore along with Kalee solves different problems starting from saving the grand garden.

🪄In this story we were introduced to Kalee who was named Gulab Kalee by her grandmother, her father who has alot of knowledge about trees affectionately called Uncle VJ by everyone including Kalee, Baji their household help who told her stories about the Grand garden which belongs to the grand lady, her husband was the world’s most famous sculptor who could make anything look beautiful. And this garden has been designed to look like something from a dream! This is the best garden of Gavnagar even probably the best garden in the world.

🪄Soon Kalee discovers the twins in her garden and embark on many adventures with them be it saving the garden from bankruptcy or the reason behind the disappearance of the exotic butterflies in the garden exhibit or why the famous star who came to unbox the latest show design by FEEF in a grand ceremony hosted in the garden end up unboxing an Orange? Or how do the children playing sand castles in the garden have blood in their hands?! This was my favourite part of the story the second being the mysterious orange incident.

🪄This story is very beautifully written and well paced that's gonna keep you hooked to the story and not get bored at all, can be a perfect bedtime read for kids. The story starts like a fairytale and becomes more mature and along with a glimmer of wisdom. The narration, world building, plot sequences were effectively done. Loved reading this book and recommend it to young readers who are also dreamers and love a little bit of mystery. It's a very easy, beautiful story that also has some wisdom to offer too in its own charm along with some stunning illustrations. Very easy writing and lucid narrative makes it very easy to understand and read. My 10 year old sister also loved reading this it's perfect for kids.

Kalee and the Mysterious Twins, Keepers of the Big Secret by Sunita Lad Bhamray is children's story book filled with mystery, adventure, fun and amazing lessons, which will make your kid, love the character of Kalee and the two Herbohumanomorphic, also fall in love with the beauty of the mother nature more.
Firstly, when you will start reading the book, you'll understand the story behind the cover of the book and how wonderfully it is crafted. The poem in the start of the book is well written and perfectly portrays the theme of the story in it. The cute illustrations in some chapters are so cool and makes it so much easy to imagine the scenarios in more details and depth.
The first line of the book actually made me laugh, cause I was also reading the title of the book or we can say the name of the protagonist, wrong. I can feel the frustration, our dear Kalee, might be feeling at those times when people were mispronouncing her name.
The story has a very unique and interesting plotline, revolving around the mysterious garden, written in about 8 engaging chapters, which will grip your interest and leave you in awe, as the protagonist Kalee along with her two buddies Thunder and Tendrilla takes us a on adventurous ride, exposing the secrets of the garden to us.
Each chapter was so much entertaining and filled with something new, related to plants. Being an adult I personally enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to narrate this story to my niece, she is crazy for such adventurous stories.
Apart from this, the ending of the last chapter disappointed me a bit, I was hoping that the grand lady will stay there forever, or for sometime as she cherished her quality time there or take a stroll around the garden with Kalee and narrate about her husband's affection and love for the garden, or something better than this.

I liked the beautiful poem at the beginning of the book and in a sense set a tone for the story.
The characters are well crafted and the story's pace does not lag. I finished it in a single sitting as the storyline kept me hooked. The language is simple and easy to follow.
There is a roller coaster of emotions seen throughout the book. There are laugh-out-loud moments, heart-touching scenes, thrills, secrets, innocence, friendship, etc, that will keep you hooked.

Being a kid is always special. Because during our childhood, we were far away from reality and lived a burden-free life. Also, as kids, we believe in superpowers, fantasy, and grandma-cooked-up stories. This book is one of that kind.
The book begins with the main protagonist, Kalee, and her friend Noor. Kalee was back home from the school, commuting through the school bus. Kalee was bit annoyed that most of the people fail to pronounce her name properly, and she was tired of correcting people for it.
Kalee's father is the person who loves to take care of the trees, and he maintains a garden that was owned by an old lady. During the same night, Kalee hears the voice of the children from the garden. At first, she was terrified and believed it was a nightmare. But as she continued to hear the same noise again, she decided to go and check by herself. To her surprise, she has seen two kids (a girl and a boy) who look like half humans and half trees.
Initially the twins turned into trees when Kalee attempted to communicate with them. After her continuous effort, Kalee and the twins became her friends.
Multiple problems were raised in the garden, and everything was sorted out by Kalee along with her twin friends. Each story is different and unique. I really loved the part about recycling the waste and creating shoes out of it (orange peel). Dye bud plants and the old lady’s memorable birthday gift.

Bedtime story I wished I read it when I was a kid.
The book is easy to read and super interesting. Kalee is an introvert and super curious which most kids are and what I really liked was that the author allowed the character to play with her curiosity, to seek answers and to believe in herself even if others told her that she was acting weird or foolish. Mostly kids are said that they have high imaginations and we don't take their things seriously because we think they might be imagining it, that's what happened with Kalee but I really loved that even after people not believe her she took her chance and went on for her search.
The twins in the books played a really important part in Kalee's adventures and I really enjoyed reading about them and the bond between these three was so wholesome. The friendship they had even after being not human was so sweet and stands as a great example for friends.
The storyline was really interesting and what I really liked was that it wasn't one story but rather many events going on one by one just like the cartoon series we see on Television, with the same characters but different stories.
I really liked the constant characters and stuff about them, but at the same time enjoyed the plots and adventures happening in the book.
The ending was beautiful and I feel every parent who wants their kids to read but can't decide on which book to pick, should choose this one.

Children's books always travel me back to my childhood days which are filled with fun and joy. Reading these books will be light, refreshing and relaxing in our complex adult life.
In this book our main and cute protagonist, an 11 year old, Gulab Kalee finds a mysterious twin in her mysterious garden. Who are these mysterious twins? What are they doing in the garden? What are the secrets that this garden and the twins are holding? After finding out about them, what could be the challenges that are going to be faced by Kalee? Sounds pretty interesting and fun isn’t it???
This book has an intriguing plot and narration that is best for the children to enjoy a thrilling adventurous and mystery story. Every character of this book was designed perfectly which makes it an engaging read. The illustrations in this book added more beauty to the story which gives a vibe of watching a cartoon adventure story. This book has simple language which improves the reading ability of the children. This book is not only enjoyable but also gives good lessons on environment and greenery.

This was pure nostalgia!
If you have a child at home, please make them read this book so they can feel the beautiful fairytale-like charm this book holds. The writer definitely knew what she was doing when she mixed fantasy and nostalgia together by introducing characters like Kalee, Thunder, and Tindrella. At some point in life, we all wanted to be children again with no worries about adult life, just trying to experience the magic around us that we felt in our souls. Kalee finds that magic in the beautiful fairytale garden of her home—two kids of her own age, made out of a topiary no less. She is shocked and delighted to finally have friends around the house, and they were magical too. How many times have we imagined having a friend like that? Countless. Kalee is like the little detective in the garden, solving all the problems with the help of her friends and later celebrating with them. The characters are so beautiful and easy to connect with that not only children but also adults will feel the magic this book creates. The author included some beautiful art throughout the book, introducing characters and pointing out some important incidents. I found my childhood back in these pages, and I hope you do too. The author takes us on various exciting adventures with Kalee (pronounced qali), a curious girl with a penchant for writing poems. She is a tween with subtle sensitivity about herself and her world, and is in pursuit of someone who can truly be her friend. Little did she know just before the onset of her summer vacations, she will meet mysterious twins and develop an inseparable friendship with them. Together, they solve many problems that come their way and uncover the mysteries behind sudden happenings in the garden and beyond. The entire cast of characters is likeable which includes her father Uncle VJ, jovial Baji (the house help), her school friend and bus mate Noor, wily HelloVera who has an agenda of his own, the enthusiastic innovator Zinnia, elegant Grand Lady, and Mr. Nanny. The writing style is really lucid and witty for readers across all ages to enjoy. Important messages like saving water, caring for plants, butterflies , recycling of waste to a possible extent, are included in a fun manner for young minds to understand and inculcate. The inclusion of various facts relating to plants arouses interest and a sense of exploration while being relatable for young readers. The fact that the entire book is designed beautifully with small illustrations and chapter art makes reading the book a wonderful experience.

Some days when the days are gloomy and the nights are drenched, the child in me wants to go and find solace in childhood storybooks. And, then I came across Kalee and the Mysterious Twins by Sunity Lad Bhamray.
Kalee is an easy-going girl, fond of reading just like us! She likes music and writing poetry. She is a peculiar girl who has not yet figured out if her favorite color is purple or yellow. Kalee also is like a curious cat who always seeks answers to her varied questions.
The thrill begins in the second chapter where Kalee meets the mysterious twins. As a reader, I became curious too. What can be this special mission for which Kalee is chosen? The story is full of surprises, suspense, thrill, and true friendships which we have now forgotten in today's digital and Gen Z era.
I decided to read this book when I first saw it's Purple, blue, and green cover and a lot of trees.
The scene was right from a garden. The author has put a lot of thought into character development. This book gives a positive vibe and is a good thought-provoking and invoking morals and values in children and today's adults as well!
And, lastly, I could not resist coloring the pictorial pages, so my copy of Kalee and Mysterious Twins is technicolor! This book just brought the child in me back!
