Mi humilde opinión:

Romance shifters, dragones, proximidad forzada, embarazo sorpresa y drama familiar.

Empecé el libro muy contenta porque tocaba la historia de Owen y fue un personaje divertido en el libro anterior pero todo fue cuesta abajo mientras leía. Para empezar está cargado de drama, hay traición, secretos y mucho dolor. Tenía que navegar una relación rota y yo no lograba conectarme con los personajes. No sentí tampoco el gran amor que tenían Owen y Ashley. Sentí el dolor de cada uno pero no su profundo amor. Sí, se decían Te amo pero no lo sentí.

Se notaba que Ashley era la más dañada por sus seres queridos y fue difícil para ella volver a confiar y estar en un buen lugar mental. Me pareció genial que mencione que buscó ayuda profesional para mejorar.

El romance tiene una carga de angustia grande y pasa mucho tiempo hasta que Ashley y Owen finalmente estan juntos y llegan al felices para siempre.

La razón por la que Owen deja a Ashley fue ridícula. Podría haber buscado mil soluciones para que ella pueda estar con su madre enferma y seguir juntos. Tomó la decisión por ella y arruinó una hermosa relación. Poner en escena un engañó para que ella lo viera en la cama con otra mujer fue irse al extremo. Esperé que después de que averiguaran la verdad sobre porque sus padres querían casarla con Logan, le explicara a Ashley la verdad pero nunca lo hace! Comprendí totalmente que con todo lo que se enteró de sus padres pensara que estaba sola, que desconfiara de él y no le creyera nada, Ashley tenía derecho a enloquecer porque quién no en su lugar? Cuando FINALMENTE él le dice porque fingió engañarla todo sonaba tan sin sentido para mí. No sé cómo rompiendo su corazón y confianza iba a hacerla feliz. Al final tomó la decisión por ella y se equivocó Ashley fue la más valiente en la relación por no importarle lo que sus padres pensaran de Owen. Él no se creyó suficiente para ella pero no tomaba en cuenta que él la hacía feliz y lo amaba y eso era lo más importante. Él la decepcionó. Cuánto dolor tiene esa escena dónde él le confirma que no la engañó y ella diciéndole que no luchó por ella, que se rindió? Me rompió el corazón por Ashley.

Los padres de Ashley y Logan? Eran personajes frívolos, fríos y manipuladores. Me daban mucha bronca la forma de querer controlarla y no entendieran un no como respuesta. Los padres no la querían y ella se ponía en riesgo. No entiendo cómo Ashley quería gente así en su vida, lo sé, son los padres pero venderla para su beneficio a alguien que podría ser un asesino? Era demasiado como para perdonarlos por todo el daño emocional que le hicieron.

En cuanto a la parte del embarazo, Ashley tiene sus dudas y me gustó que Wendy estuviera ahí para ella apoyando y dando consejos. Otra habitación de bebé con el tema de la jungla? Lo mismo que Wendy en el libro anterior. Y enserio tenía que llorar por sus padres y pedir por su madre cuando Owen estaba allí tomando su mano durante el parto? Para qué quería a la bruja de la madre?

En el libro anterior no estaba tan presente lo sobrenatural pero el protagonista sentía el vínculo especial con su pareja y además tenía conversaciones con su dragón. Aquí Owen nunca conversaba con su dragón y no es hasta más tarde que se menciona que ambos sienten el vínculo de pareja, entonces era Ashley su pareja destinada? Ella también es shifter pero tampoco habló ni cambio a dragón. A mí me falta sentir que estoy leyendo un mundo de shifters, a lo largo de la lectura me olvido de que es un romance paranormal. Hay una escena en la que Owen y Logan llegan a luchar como dragones y me emocioné porque me dije; acá viene la parte emocionante con acción. Aunque el otro era un alfa quizás Owen sorprendía y lo supera de alguna forma pero fue decepcionante! Logan se merecía una buena paliza y luego pagar por los asesinatos.

Termina con un lindo nacimiento y una reunión con los padres de Ashley mostrándose muy arrepentidos. Muy abrupto desenlace como si la autora se hubiera quedado sin ideas.

Owen fue un personaje divertido en el primer libro y lo amé pero encontré un personaje diferente al que esperaba. Y aunque entendí a Ashley, muchas veces la encontré ilógica y molesta. La verdad pensé que la historia de amor sería con Tessa pero bueno... Es una historia que se lee fácil pero me costaron los protagonistas y la trama.

They have a lot of baggage to unpack because years before she caught him cheating with another female. Her trust in him was broken. But he's back and he can't let her marry Logan because he is dangerous. They spend a lot of time arguing and hitting at the past. His alpha, Ayden, sets up a meeting with Logan. Unfortunately her parents still don't work well with the decision and stick their noses in their daughter's business once again.
A story that will bring tears and anger to the reader as it unfolds.

Not sure how I feel about this one. In a way, Owen is very likable but what he did was just not forgivable. Cheating on her would have been terrible. But staging a scene to make sure that she caught him in "the act" even if they weren't really having sex, is in a lot of ways worse than cheating. It's the coldblooded calculation of the act of doing something you know is going to hurt her. It's taking away her agency, with him making the decision for them to break up by this nuclear option instead of talking to her.

Just because he didn't cheat doesn't mean trust is magically restored to the relationship because what he did do, even if it wasn't cheating, still undermines the trust in the relationship. Plot issues came up, so the whole thing was glossed over at the end. Also, there was no mention of her being plus sized.

Owen and Ashley

The chances of reestablishing a relationship after a partner cheated are slim. Owen has always loved Ashley and broke up so she would have a better life than he could offer. They come together again because she is in danger of being coerced into a relationship her parents sold her into.
A good deal of the storyline deals with Owen and Ashley seeking answers and resolution to their relationship issues.
Would have given five stars but editing issues interfered with flow of story several times.

So many inconsistencies...

Misspellings or missed words were prevalent. Some I could figure, some I could not.
Why could they sense each other short distances, but no one ever mentioned them being mates?
Her parents were terrible, but she was he'll bent on having them near.
Logan basically confessed to killing his two former wives, but nothing was done about it! There was no mention of her going to a doctor but a therapist that "she'd been going to" was back.
What did they have if he was a dragon and she was a wolf???

Ashley finds out she is pregnant with Owen and runs out for a walk. She picked up by her dad who hands her over to Logan and Owen, his alpha Ayden and friends go to get Ashley back.

Her parents literally threatened her man into breaking up with her and then sold her to an abusive asshole because they went broke. All they had to say was they were sorry and she forgave them. I’m actually so disgusted by this book. It is literally tolerating abuse. If I could rate it zero stars I would. I’m really disappointed in this author

This story read more like a rough draft. You don't meet Logan until half way through the story. Everyone knows Logan killed his wives, A firefighter saw the strangulation marks, but no investigation? It seemed most of the events were told to the reader, not shown through the characters' actions and dialogue.

No rejection, cause he didn't feel the mate thing, when did they describe her as plus size, why is there a wolf on the cover? why is she so wishy washy?
