This series was not read in sequence.
THE LIE SHE TOLD, #1 - My third book by this author and I like it. I enjoyed the writing style, the characters, and the intriguing story lines. The fingerprints discovery did make me shake my head in disbelief. This story did not involve Ziggy or any police until the very last few chapters. Source: My Bookfunnel library. 4*

THE WEB THEY WOVE, #2 - My second read book of this series. The story seemed to be written by novice in police procedures. The boss is always telling the coworkers what needs to be done instead of having their actions written into the story. It makes the police look dumb or the boss egotistical. The dialog did not feel right in many places. It got to a point I skipped to the last three chapters after reading the first forty pages. No improvement. Source: My Bookfunnel library. 3*

WHEN WE DECEIVE, #3 - I'm surprised that this book was interesting and a one-sitting read. I'm a bit tired of books that overdo the mental and low self-esteem; it definitely seems like filler in this book. Source: My Bookfunnel library. 4*

CATCH ME TWICE, #4 - I missed the first three books of this series but it did not matter. The few slight references to the past were not actually needed. I throughly enjoyed the writing style, the dialog and the characters. The pace is steady and the story lines, set between 1989 and 2002, are interesting. It is an easy one-sitting read, which I enjoyed after just finishing a 560-page Clancy novel. Source: The author and my BookFunnel library. 4*

THE SHADOW KILLER, #5 - How disappointing. This is a silly story. The actions of the police, the forensic psychologist, and the questionings are all silly. After reading all the books in this series, I find that are only only two prominent characters, Ziggy and one support character, along with the criminal. There is no growth in any of the characters, Ziggy or his crew. Ziggy follows the same pattern: tired with no sleep, emotional and half cocked in his investigations. Of course, everyone has mental problems or lack of self esteem or some reason for their silly behavior. All are easily thrown by the criminals where tears or fear or rage are the norm. This story was not interesting but macabre. My interest in reading more by this author is terminated. This book is so bad, yet some of the previous books were good. Source: The author. 1*
