A black witch left him broken, but his little wolf might be able to put him back together again.
Warped. Draven left a trail of devastation and ruin in his wake after a black witch cursed him. When he stumbles upon a sweet, lost wolf in a roadside bar, Draven knows something has changed. Draven has a new obsession and he won’t leave until Tobias is his.
Invisible. Tobias Anderson has always flown under the radar. There’s nothing special about him. No one looks at him twice…until Draven. Draven’s bad news. Tobias can feel it in his bones, but one kiss, one touch, and he’s a goner. Draven burns with secrets, and the more he unravels, the more Tobias realizes he might have bitten off more than he can chew.
“Draven” is an M/M dragon shifter romance and the first installment in the Sky Stead series.
2⭐️ In this book you’ll find: Dragon shifters, wolf and leopard shifters, a character that’s basically Draco Malfoy, witches (the good ones are “white witches” and evil ones are “black witches”..), curses, and more.
Being fully honest, I picked this up so I could find something quick and easy to fall asleep to, and the inconsistencies, poor writing, and just general “fanfiction written by a 14 year old” vibes definitely did it for me.
Unfortunately really clunky. I couldn’t get into it, I kept spacing out or checking other apps on my phone. I’m not saying it’s “terrible” but I think some people are just too generous with their ratings. This is not a 4-star book when the scale is out of 5 stars.
I have no idea how this has rated over 4? The writing is basic, to say the least.
An example, two characters talking: "We've been working together for a good while now. I feel you should call me by my first name." "Lucinda," I began again, feeling a bit hesitant. "We've been working together for a while now. I feel we should know more about each other."
Similar repetitive sentences throughout.
The characters aren't fleshed out at all, feel very 2D and there's literally no chemistry between anyone.
The only reason I finished it is because it was short.
This is the first book in the brand new series Sky Stead. It definitely starts the series off on a good note. This is the story of Draven and Tobias. Draven is a rare dragon shifter who has been cursed by a black witch. He is slowly losing control of his dragon. Thanks to his new pack and alpha, he is keeping losing himself at bay. Tobias is a wolf shifter who works in a library. When the two meet at the local bar, there is energy between the two of them. Draven is travelling through and believes that Tobias deserves more than a one night stand. Tobias doesn't need Draven telling him what he does or doesn't need. This is their story. I love the idea of fated mates. Tobias was able to bring Draven a measure of calm and piece that he hasn't had in ages. Of course, everything is not smooth sailing. Trouble from Draven's past comes back to find them. Good thing they have Draven's packmate and alpha to help them. I really enjoyed this book. It is well written and easy to read. I look forward to the next book in this series.

I really wanted to love this. I love the whole premise of this book. For some reason I just didn’t get enough of each of the character’s personality traits and their feelings. They were written but not felt if that makes sense. I guess I just didn’t connect like I hoped to them and so I just felt passive while reading this. Love the whole idea and the whole world building but it just wasn’t for me. Thanks.
Draven has started out to be a wonderful new series. Draven and Tobias both have interesting backgrounds. As Tobias learns more about Draven, he realizes how torrid his life is and how it is impossible for him to deny his feelings for him. Yet, no one else could complement these two any better.

"In that moment, his genuine happiness chased away the dark shadows gathering in my mind."
This is the first book in a new series called Sky Stead by Fel Fern. This is also the first book I've read that's been solely written by this author, the others were a collab with Kara Kitt. There was a mention, in this book, of the biker bears from Moon Burrow. Hopefully I haven't missed out on anything by not reading the Moon Burrow series first.
This story is about humans, dragons, wolves, leopards, white witches and black witches all in one town, oh my! It looks like this series is going to be a fun ride. There's just something about dragons. I'm hoping for a little mpreg or meggs but there's no mention of such in this book.
Hurt/comfort, mates (the book never mentions fated mates but they do mate for life), bullying, curses
'I accepted long ago that I wasn't anyone's romantic prospect. Once upon a time, I had dared to dream of finding a mate who would embrace my awkwardness, maybe even find it endearing. But those dreams faded as I grew older. I had resigned myself to the idea of being the town librarian until I was old, grey, and alone. And strangely enough, I was okay with that. But the way this intimidating outsider looked at me, it was as if I was the only thing he could see in the entire room. It was... intoxicating.'
I loved this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved both wolf shifter Tobias and dragon shifter Draven. I liked the dynamic between them and their chemistry was immediate. Tobias was sweet and won my heart from his first page. The witch's binding curse made things interesting. A great start to a new series. I can't wait to read more! 5 stars
You can feel the fire. Draven, dragon shifter is cursed by a black witch, Belladonna. He is left broken, weary and a bit out of control. Tobias, wolf shifter is a 2nd year junior librarian living with his inconsiderate selfish dead beat brother, Tom. Tobias, thought himself unremarkable and almost invisible. They both are dragging a bit of baggage, but manage to put them down to get to know each other better. Sizzling, great adventure! Secrets are a roadblock to a fulfilling relationship causing problems. Good story, great flow exciting. Totally hot cover art! Great start to a series. Well done! 4,5* Excited to get my hands on a new story by Fel and dragons in this mm shifter story as well. Tobias and Draven are such a good couple, they seem so opposite from eachother. However they bring what the other needs a bit more or temper some edges. I do enjoy getting an insight in in Draven and his dragon. Would have liked to see a bit more about Tobias his wolf. The fights with the black witch and the story why is plotted well. I hope Doyle or Tom find their mate. Looking forward to get peaks into this couple in the other stories in this new Sky Stead series.

I really enjoyed this book. Draven is a dragon shifter and is on his motorbike driving through town on his way to nowhere in particular and stops off at a bar. Tobias is the junior librarian and after going to the diner for dinner decides to go to the bar where he sees Draven sitting by himself. Tobias is usually bullied by the mayor's son so very rarely goes into the bar. Draven's dragon and Tobias's wolf recognize each other as mates. Throw in the black witch Belladonna, who is trying to get Draven back under her control and this becomes a must-read.
This is the first book in a new series and I really enjoyed it and I’m looking forward to reading more from it. In this story we meet Draven a dragon who was losing control after a horrible experience but when he meets Tobias he is automatically drawn to him and finds a sense of peace with him but before they can get their happiness they have to deal with an old enemy of Draven’s and with Tobias’s help and the help of his alpha they succeed. I’m looking forward to reading Doyle’s story next.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Draven was cursed and is losing control until he meets Tobias. I liked how quickly they are drawn together. Their mating provides what each of them need. However Draven's nemesis is still trying to get control of him. I like how they deal with the problem.
Wow..... I loved this book. The first of a new series and I cannot wait for more. Draven a cursed dragon shifter. Tobias a wolf shifter living in his brother's shadow. Belladonna the black witch that put the curse on Draven. I loved Tobias and Draven together. The plot was so good. I would have liked that Justin got a bit more karma.
The storyline is a bit thin, and character development is sufficient, if not very detailed. There is a bit of delay in the developing relationship, but Draven and Tobias get there eventually. The conflict scenes are dramatic and violent, if a bit truncated time-wise. The book ends with a hope for the future, but left no desire to continue the series.
This was a fantastic start to a new series. This can be read as a stand-alone but if you’ve been keeping up with the different series you might recognize some of the characters. I was so happy to see Draven find his mate and I can’t wait for the next story.
I was confused by how fast this relationship was developed, we were at I love yous in less then a day. It felt a bit rushed but the universe is setting up to be interesting.
Had a bit of trouble getting used to a dragon hurt by a black witch. Of course mating with a wolf shifter always helps. With the mating, story got started for me. This one will be as good as Venom and his bears. Good story and looking forward to book #2.
This story has shifters, white witches, dark witches and humans. There is magic, danger, fated mates and love. I look forward to more of these page turning adventures.
Simplesmente envolvente, ele está lutando contra o mal e durante esse caminho encontrada a saída através do amor. Juntos vão lutar e encontrar seu final feliz.
Started a little slow for me, but I enjoyed it. Could’ve probably used one more edit just to work out the kinks… I’ll definitely read the rest if only to see the eradication of evil!!!
