Ward Hildreth and Kirsty Blake hate each other. No one knows exactly why, but they always argue, fight, and just don’t get along. Ward cannot deny that he finds the curvy brunette sexy as hell. He has admired her body for a long time, but that doesn’t mean anything.
For Kirsty, she has never liked smart-mouthed Ward. He always seems to think he knows best, and he always has to have the last word. Much to her surprise, she learns of a bet that has been placed on her and Ward finally getting together. She is shocked and when she tells Ward, he is just as surprised as her. What starts out as a civil conversation, soon becomes heated, and Kirsty doesn't know what exactly happened next.
One moment they’re fighting, the next, they’re kissing. Only that kiss … was amazing.
There is only one tiny problem, both of them want to do it again. They agree to date in secret. There are many surprises along the way through their secret dating. Ward starts to fall for her, and he loves that he is the only man she has been with. He is going to make this the best experience of her life.
When Kirsty becomes pregnant, Ward knows it is only a matter of time before everyone knows their secret, but he wants her to know his feelings. He is in love with her, and he is not going to run and hide. He wants to show everyone that she belongs to him.
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound. She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
I don’t know what’s going on lately with this author. Because I know she can write better than this and yet she keeps plopping out shit.
Such as:
Hero and heroine know each other from high school
Hero still FUCKS other women.
The ONLY reason I bought this was because the heroine is a virgin, which I was super psyched about.
Their first time, AGAIN, is NOT FUCKING SHOWN; builds it up, only to let it fizzle into fade to black. Seriously, this isn’t cool. I’m reading spicy romance for the spice and the first time is the most important scene.
News flash to this author: just because something is painful, doesn’t mean it can’t be intensely emotional and tender and meaningful and good!
Not safe. Hero fucks other women, his past is briefly mentioned. Heroine is a virgin, belongs only to her hero. No ow/om, no cheating after sex together, no sharing. HEA with epilogue years out.
I hate that I had to give this less than what it should have gotten. I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like Sam Crescent has been slowly falling off her game, at least to me when it comes to spice.
And It's sad to see, maybe it's just me. I love this author because of her heroine's and their relatability but I'm slowly starting to not get as excited for her new releases when it feels a little too fast pace, barely any chemistry and skipped romance scenes. it just doesn't feel like her at all and what caused my love for this author, like her past books.
This was a very quick, but fun read. I enjoyed the back story and tension between Ward and Kirsty, and how their relationship evolves.
I did however find the book very light on the steamy scenes which are usual in Sam's books, it almost leaned more toward a "sweet romance" - though there was still some steam, so not a "clean romance".

Curvy Perfection - Book 32 - Curvy Women Wanted Series - Sam Crescent
People say that there is a fine line between love and hate and that is exactly what is happening between Ward Hildreth a talented tattooist who claims not to be able to stand Kirsty Blake the local bar owner. They have verbally sparred for as long as they can both remember because they claim they are incensed by each other, although they do seem to find one another in a crowd, can't not have the last word, however once they learn about a bet their friends have been running for years about them eventually getting together things take a dramatic turn and they go from wanting to be opposite ends of the room to not keeping their hands off of one another. The story is another sweet romance on the go read with great spice and an enjoyable plot. Another great read in this fabulous series. Happy Reading. Please note that I was given an arc of this book for my honest review which is exactly what I have given. 5 out of 5 stars.
Sam Crescents books as of lately have been hit and miss with me. This one fell somewhere in the middle.
This was ok. I enjoyed the banter between Kirsty (h) and Ward (H) but it felt like something was missing. Maybe it's a me thing? I dunno.
This was a short read and as usual, the writing was nice but I felt it was missing the spice that SC usually brings. Ward and Kirsty had chemistry but it was lacking a bit. All in all it wasn't horrible but it wasn't what I'm used to from this author.
Will I stop reading her books? Absolutely not. SC is a brilliant author and I feel this was just a bump in the road.

Ward and Kirsty have known each other since High School. They have also hated each other as well or so they think. Everyone else thinks these two are meant to be together. They just need to realize it too. It takes communication between the two to finally break through. You have to love the little simple fights. They never really hated each other. They both hid their interest in each other. And it was funny at times with what we find out. And I have to say they were both just waiting for the right moment. Thank goodness for Bethany and Chris for help pushing them together.

Kirsty and Ward can’t stand each other and they would be the last people to ever get together. That’s why it comes as such a shock that a bet has been placed on them actually getting together. This absurd idea gets them into a heated argument that turns into an even more heated make out session.
Confused about the state of their relationship, they decide to keep their newfound romance a secret. Soon enough feelings grow deeper and the complications increase.
This was a cute and sassy read with a lot of heat. Love hate enemies to lovers to more.

This was a very short read, and even though it was written cleanly, there was a storyline inconsistency that was glaring and interrupted my reading enjoyment.
I liked everything else in regards to the push and pull between Ward and Kirsty. There was also sufficient backstory for such a short story. As short as the story was, I believe there should have been more proofing in the descriptive aspects that were presented.

Undercover lovers - Kirsty and Ward are like oil and water - they just don't mix. Until IT happens - an impromptu kiss that shakes them both up good. Now they are magnets for each other, but they keep their relationship under wraps. People are nosy and the MCs refuse to be the cause of even more chin wagging by the people in their small town. Funny thing is, everyone already knows they have a tendre for each other so the joke's on them. A little steamy, a little amusing, so good.

Ward and Kristie have been fighting for years, no one knows why the animosity started. But everyone in their small town has an opinion. What Kristie does not know is that Ward has always looked out for her but he also made her off limits.
Ward's friend puts the idea in his head that he has always loved her, antagonizes her as a form of foreplay. When they found out there is a bet on them, they see each other in secret. How long will they be successful?.

Cute read! I have read other novels by this author and loved them and although this was a very quick read I enjoyed this novel. Once I started this novel I sped right thru it and was sucked right into the story. I love a good enemies to lovers, and this novel just seemed to hit the spot. I loved Ward and Kirsty, they have been going at it since high school with their bickering. Loved their chemistry and watching them discover that communication helps to bridge the gap between them. I can't wait to see what this author has coming next.
What a wonderful story. We follow Kristie and Ward. They can't get through a door and do nothing but bicker and there is a lot of hostility between them, they don't know where it comes from, but they do have feelings and a friend of Ward makes it clear to him that he has always loved her. They will both admit that they actually feel more for each other. I enjoyed their story and can definitely recommend reading it.

I thought this book was a quick read which I love!! It has the right amount of angst, drama, banter, and spice!! The characters were complex and had an explosive chemistry that had me laughing and swooning. Do not miss this book!!! I can’t wait to see what Sam Crescent brings next!!!.

A bet sets the spark that turns into an inferno between them
Curvy Perfection is part of the Curvy Women Wanted series and it is a good addition. This enemies to more story is about Kirsty Blake and Ward Hildreth. These two make for a good read with a sizzling passion simmering between them, even as they deny it can ever be anything. All it takes is one bet, and not even by them, that sets the spark which turns into a full blown firestorm of passion between them. This is a quick, fun, and entertaining book.
Kirsty and Ward have fought each since they were in school together. However, now things are changing after they share a kiss. They try to keep it a secret because they learned about a bet on them. Yet neither can stop wanting the other. Will this turn into something more between them?
This is an amazing story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Kirsty and Ward just don't get along, their distain for one another is widely known by the locals even if no one exactly knows why. But when they hear of the locals betting on when they will get together, it ends up igniting something between them but will their secret dating come to light and what of the true feelings that get added to the mix! Well written steamy, light enemies to lovers, curvy woman, desires, town gossip and more.
I enjoyed reading this book. Once I started reading Curvy Perfection, I didn't want to put it down. The characters are great and the storyline grabbed my attention from the start. I don't want to spoil this book for anyone so I won't give details. Please read the book blurb for some information. I recommend reading this book.

Ward and Kristy. They hate each other. Why. Dont know. But that doesnt keep him from admiring her body. Shes the nerd to his high school football star. You know what they say about thin line...well this line is about to be crossed and destroyed. Everyone can see it but them and this makes for a short steay and sometimes funny read. Always love a Sam Crescent read.

So, so, so flippin happy this author decided to have a virgin h in this book! I hate to miss her books when she has the h being broken in and claimed by OM.
What I loved: -virgin h. YAY!! -enemies to lovers! I DIE for this trope! -h gets preggers! -it’s an SC Romance! Unique and charming! -she has the best epilogues!
This story had a really fun premise of enemies to lovers, but everyone around these two knew they were, in reality, hot for each other ;) Of course, they were oblivious until they heard of the bet about them hooking up...which led to them hooking up. Lol! This was fun and steamy and quite entertaining :D
Loved the tension between Kristy and Ward. A great short read of enemies to lovers, when you can just no longer deny the attraction you share with your greatest enemy. Liked the fast pace, along with the history between them.

Ward and Kirsty have been circling around one another since high school. Once their friends tell them about a mysterious bet and the chemistry everyone can see, all bets are off, so to speak. There is banter and fire and chemistry. This short story is fun and flirty. 3.5 stars.

Quick Sam Crescent book about Ward and Kirsty. They are two thirty year old frenemies from high school. It was a small town charmer, with Ward and Kirsty rubbing each other the wrong way since high school. Until…they rub each other the right way!!! Great quick read. Not much angst, but I really enjoyed it. Way to spend a rainy morning with a quick sexy read! Cute book!
One of the sweetest stories I've read from this author. Kirsty and Ward take a while to acknowledge their feelings for each other. They begin by giving in to their passion, which leads them to discover the deepest part of their hearts. Very sweet and with endearing characters.

This book has everything, great storyline, charming characters a hea. There is humour and a little angst. What's not to love. It's a charming story of enemies to lovers to marriage. Perfect one day read.
Ward and Kirsty hate each other and have since high school but as everyone knows, there is a thin line between love and hate! This was a quick read that made me smile and laugh. It was steamy, hot and had all the things I love in a Sam Crescent story.
This was perfection. I had so much fun reading about these two trying to hide what they were feeling when it was them who was the last to know that they were in love with each other.

I chose to read and review this book. I enjoy this genre a lot and do like this author's work. I liked it but felt something was missing. The book is well-written with charming and captivating characters yet it needed more sexiness or spice. I can't wait for the next one.
