Enjoyed this book from the dedication to the ending! My poor Emma… the way she just blossoms under Vince’s care. His family might be intense but they try to do what is right when they can. This book will pull you in and then leave you on the cliff, just waiting to see how their story develops in book 2. I cannot wait for D.R. Phillips has in store for us.

I read this book for a friend and I really enjoyed it. It was a short read which I like and I connected with the characters really well. The story itself was really good but was left on a HUGE cliffhanger so it’s left me intrigued to carry on reading the series!! Well done to D.R Philips, I think you have done amazing with your first experience of writing a book! Excited for book number 2.

I am ready for a book 2! I really thought this story was great, maybe a prequel would be amazing as well, get the backstory of how it all began. Read your trigger warnings, there are some dark parts, very dark, but there is also so much love! I really needed an epilogue though, I need to know more about that ending!

This book was so amazing 😍. I started and I really couldn’t put it down AT ALL!!!

This book carried me on an emotional roller coaster and my poor heart almost couldn’t handle lol. Vince is everything you want in a man if he was real, bonus he was willing to risk it all for Emma. Emma is such a sweetheart once she decides to open up to Vince . I totally understood the hardship and trauma she went through.

You should definitely get this book and I’m happy to read book 1 and I definitely can’t wait for book 2. This is definitely a must read 🤍✨

This book broke my heart especially at the end. I love how Vince love and cared for her, I love seeing characters growth in this book! The plot is there throughout the story and I love that it does! Emma don’t get em started on Emma I could go on and on talking about her and this book! The cliffhanger tho can we talk about that? I can’t wait for book two!!

For All My Fast Paced Readers Out There...I personally recommend this one. This book has action, some spice, violence and some triggers that you need to read. And a plot twist ending that had me clutching at my non existent pearls. I loved the storyline this book has. I believe it had great bones but personally for me, I'd have loved a more in depth to some of the scenes. I know quite a few people who love fast paced books (my sister for example). I'm excited to see where the story goes from here and I'll be watching for the next one in Winter of this year.

For it being a first published the plot was great but i found myself wanting more.It was paced getting through the concept but also too fast that it missed a few details i personally would’ve loved to see.
As for the ending i loved it but was expecting more drama with the fight scene. I definitely recommend to read it still. I know others love a fast pace story it does has some triggers but as well has heart felt moments, drama, and spice.

I liked the plot and characters of Emma, Vincent and Marco. I did feel like the story was jumpy and rushed in areas. Would have loved for those parts to be fleshed out some and more background on some of the main characters. Not a bad story over all, interested in seeing where books 2 and 3 go from here.

I loved the care and love that Vince put towards Emma. Great storyline, did jump a bit and ends on huge cliffhanger. You do see growth of characters but would have liked to see more backstory, could have added to story. Chemistry was steamy and hot between Vince and Emma. I am eager to read book 2. If you have triggers, check them before reading.

Make sure you check your triggers!!

Emma is in hell and has no hope of getting out of hell until she meets Vincent Aramani, who's family takes out bad men while protecting their territory. After Emma is in the care of Vincent, he begins to fall for her fast but Emma is damaged. Vince and his family make it their mission to help her heal and take out the people who hurt her.

Emma and Vince are perfect for each other and watching their love for each other grow was beautiful. This book does end on a huge cliffhanger and I need book 2!!

This book took my heart, and then ripped it wide open. Vince is everything you want in a man, mysterious, protective, and willing to risk it all for his Queen. Emma melts your heart as she slowly lets Vince ease all the pains from her past. Showing that she truly isn’t the same scared little girl that she used to be.
