Hacked is a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, opposites-attract, stalker-lite, girl gets her bodyguard romantic suspense. Kelly is a smart and sassy scientist who has taken her dream job in Morocco. Unfortunately, the system is hacked when she starts and female employees are being harassed and threatened. James is a hunky tech expert who is assigned to protect her. They find out that she is being targeted. Why? Who is behind it? Can James keep her safe? This was a great fast-paced read with hot chemistry and a happy ending.

I liked the story 'Hacked' by Ava Connor. It was about a woman scientist who has been sent to work at the embassy in Morrocco towards developing a special type of rice that could address the problem of world hunger. On her first day in Morrocco, she is harassed by a rude American tourist that follows her and makes crude references to her body. When she tells him to leave her alone and turns away from him, he shouts insults at her. Later, in the day when she shows up for her first day at work in the embassy, she is horrified to discover that the embassy's computer system has been hacked and she and the other women there are targeted with filthy smut and innuendos about them on their sites. The embassy brings in one of their top cybersecurity men to investigate and he and the new woman employee are quite taken with each other. He assures her that they will discover who is behind the hacking and that they will work to clear her of any suspicion. But as they spend time together working on the case it appears it is caused by someone stalking her specifically. They must hurry and find out who it is before any more harm is caused.

Her Unexpected Forever -
Kelly had worked really hard to succeed in her life, so she was really upset when she got into trouble on the first day of her new job. However, what she didn’t expect was for her life to embark on a rollercoaster ride of epic proportions, just because of something she felt was insignificant. Fortunately, Kelly’s trouble led her to meet James, who not only helped her resolve her problem, but he also wanted a relationship with her. Kelly and James were able to get a chance at having the future they both deserved.

Reading this story was one heck of an experience and I enjoyed every bit of it. If you are looking for your next angst and suspense filled romance to keep you totally engrossed, then grab a copy of this book.

I loved this book! Ava grabs readers attention from the very beginning and holds on tight til the bitter end. The story takes you on a winding path, with a jag here, and a twist there, you are constantly wondering what could possibly happen to these two next! OMG - the characters!! James and Kelly are phenomenal as they struggled to figure out just what is going on. Finding out who's behind this mess may help make some sense of the senseless... or not. Who knows? Without all the cyber-break, James and Kelly wouldn't likely have ever crossed paths. Was it worth it?

OMG 😱 this was a FANTASTIC STORY !!! MUST READ. James and Kelly romance was mind blowing. And the sexual tension was like rollercoaster ride as the chemistry and physical attraction was sensation with the drama of passion and romance with the hint of spicy pleasure that was TOO HOT!!!! The chaos between them was electrifying of sparks and passion.

Kelly is highly intelligent, well-regarded in her field, and both altruistic and idealistic. James is a good match for her with his excellence in his career and self-confessed patriotic streak. This is a quick read, so there isn't much opportunity for adding dimension to the characters. The instalove aspect surprised me; I'm accustomed to that trope in shifter romances. Their chemistry is smokin'! I appreciate the unusual locale complete with details to engage the reader, as well as the obviously researched jargon associated with the mystery. This is finely composed storytelling!

I found this book to be suspenseful, romantic, full of heart throbbing and passionate heat that is going to drive your lady parts crazy. It all begins with this cover that I found myself drooling over and then comes the way Ava writes about James and Kelly. This book was short but full of action in more ways than one and it reminds me of a really great movie that you can't get enough of until it comes full circle to the end.

Dangerous and Thrilling

Such a dangerously thrilling read! Ava Connor takes you on a mysterious adventure of hacking, stalking, steam, spice and attempted murder. James and Kelly were great together and it was a fun and exciting plot that was well written. The twists and turns only added more interest to this book that was definitely worth the read.

I really enjoyed James and Kelly’s story. Kelly takes her dream job in Morocco that quickly turns into a nightmare as a hacker targets her and the embassy. Now James is assigned to protect her, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. As a tech expert, he’s used to working alone, but her presence changes everything. Their first encounter crackles with tension and an undeniable attraction. It was an intense and intriguing read. And voluntarily leaving this review.

This was a great book. I think that it would be very scary to have an interaction with someone crazy before you go to orientation for a new job, but then to be hacked and under investigation would be a nighmare on your first day. It is always a great feeling to get your dream job even if it is in a foreign country but to have all that happens to Kelly would be down right frightening. This is definitely worth reading.

A great short story, first one by Ava Connor.
Kelly works her way through college and gets a job in another country right away. There she is attacked at her work place at the US Embassy.
Suddenly things go terribly wrong with computers and someone has hacked into the system. Mostly towards Kelly.
Enter the tech person James and the two hit it off immediately. They have to figure this out together.

My Thoughts: Kelly is a scientist who is currently working at the embassy in Morroco. Not having the best start, she shows up to work to discover that the computer system has been hacked. James is a top cybersecurity and quickly becomes enthralled with Kelly. These two have instant chemistry. Time is not on their side as they try to find the hacker, that seems to target women. This book was suspenseful and kept me on turning the page to find the resolution. I enjoyed reading this novella.

This as a great short story / there was a car chase, burglary, the US embassy in Morocco / it was great just the right amount of action and of course HEA. No the female lead is not some virgin teenager and he’s not some super older dude with money / they are in the same age group and handle what is thrown at them. I do recommend to 18+ because of the sexy scenes.

This story is Freaking Awesome! A workplace romance blooms and blazes, amidst the suspense of an unknown threat. It's an action packed romantic thriller that will get your heart pumping and add heat to your sheets. It's definitely worth the read!
