Celeste Night detests writing in third person , so….
I am a romance author living somewhere outside of Birmingham, AL with my husband, two children, two dogs, three cats, and a partridge in a pear tree. I studied psychology in undergrad and thought I was going to be a therapist. Even when I was young, I would weave crazy stories and as I grew older dabbled in fan fiction. I never imagined that I would write a novel, much less publish it, so the journey has been amazing!
My relationship with the infamous Mr. Night was ripped straight out of the pages of a book (complete with angst and drama) and one day I might fictionalize that. I love morally gray (sometimes morally black) men and memes. When I’m not plotting imaginary murders or dreaming up my next favorite book boyfriend, I enjoy reading and playing video games (looking at you Stardew Valley). My favorite holiday is Halloween and my favorite color is black. I love possums because I also wake up screaming each morning.

Hooley Dooley, this series took me on a journey.

Our fmc, Rayne, has been through a lot, escaping from a less than ideal family situation. I am so obsessed with Rayne. She is kind, caring, intelligent and so ruthless, it's crazy. She falls for someone who ends up hurting her more than she realised. To prove a point, she does something to said someone's belongings and gets caught up in a bigger mess than she realised.

Five years on, she's working and going to uni. Her boss, Olly, is involved in extra curricular activities and at times gets Rayne's help on jobs. Olly, sends her on a job. She meets 3 men and they are very intrigued with Rayne.
These men are Dominic, Ethan and Hunter. They are best friends and have been in each other's lives for a very long time. Dominic is very dominant and takes control of a lot of situations, it's almost like you can feel how powerful he is. Hunter, is very reserved yet is very alluring. Ethan, he is golden retriever surfer guy but also slightly unhinged. (They all are, but he wears it differently to his best friends).

For Rayne, things quickly become complicated and her world is literally turned upside down overnight.

Throughout this series, Rayne and the guys are faced with so many challenges, not only new but old as well. There are so many twists, turns, and so many secrets that are discovered. It was intense.

With all things said and done Rayne slowly let's her walls down kind of and realises that these men want her to keep her. She begins to have feelings for them and it's evident that the guys all love her so much, just in their own unique individual ways. The thing is though, does she want the same things as they do???

The character growth of the guys and Rayne is exceptional. You see Rayne coming into her rightful place as Queen and you see her guys be her pillars of support from the very beginning, even though it was quite a rocky start.

Check your triggers warnings as this series has a lot of darker elements to it 💖

If you haven't read this series, please add to your tbr immediately because it is amazing and so worth the read 🖤🖤🖤

Thank you so much Celeste and your beautiful team for giving me the chance to read this series. I am forever grateful 🙏 All opinions are honest and my own 🩷

I read the Forsaken books before this so was interested to see how this series would tied in as I love a shared universe. This opens with one of my favourite prologues - I loved Rayne from the moment she set Trace's car on fire. Rayne finds it hard to trust anyone after the tough upbringing she escaped from; although she has her walls up she has a kind heart and isn't a cold character. I enjoyed her development in the scenes with Ash as well as how the guys gave her the time and space that she needed to believe that they were in it for the long haul.

The relationships all develop independently however Ethan and Hunter felt a little more prevalent, not only with Rayne but also within the narrative across the four books. Dominic seemed to have a little less one on one time despite being the one who seemed the most possessive at the start of book one and it almost felt like his early relationship with Rayne developed partially off page or was mentioned in the POV's of other characters rather than being in their own chapters. The guys also have their own troubled pasts which leads to some unexpected twists and turns across the series.

Book two was probably my favourite of the four, closely followed by book one which has some of my favourite twists. There were a lot of interesting side characters throughout the books, some are friends and some aren't and the addition of the fourth book meant each had a satisfying conclusion by the end of the series. Rayne is a great character and I'm hoping her new role towards the end of the series means will meet her again.

My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read

“Plus, I know I’m not great at saying things like this, but I’m madly in love with you. A little murder won’t stop that.”

From Book One to Four

I really enjoyed this book. The story was really good. The characters were so easy to fall in love with… Well, most. Lol Libby can, with all disrespect, kiss my ass. With everything that happened in this book I am so excited to read what comes next.

I love the relationship between Oliver and Rayne.
The relationship with the guys is going somewhat smoothly….for their lifestyle I suppose lol
And then BAM! Wtaf? That was NOT information I was expecting to find out! J. F. C.

I am absolutely obsessed with the way these relationships grow. Not just between her and the guys. Her relationship with Oliver makes me tear up.

Oh the conclusion to this series made me so happy.
I had and absolute blast reading this series and I would definitely recommend it.

The series has been put in one book (is 3 books) with a Novella added that is kind of an epilogue. I enjoyed the series. I loved the MFC, she is strong and such a cool character. She has goals but at the same time, she has some “skills” that help her work with some mafia people to make some money. The men are great and the bad guys are really bad. She has a mentor that is like a father to her (her ex-boyfriend's father). She has some great friends. The men are hot and take good care of Rayne when she lands in trouble because of a job (and yes, lots of heat). It is a good series, and the novella is pretty good, I like that we find out where all of our main characters are after the main story but I was hoping that the woman that we are introduced to would get a HEA or that we would get her story and it just didn’t turn out that way.

Rayne is so badass, love her. This series was so good. I love the balance of the emotions! These boys fall for her right off the bat (and her cat). It's action packed (in and out of the bedroom 😉😏) Celeste did an amazing job with the series then bam eternity is just the cherry on top. Always love reading more of characters you fall in love with!

This series will forever have a place in my heart and has become one of my favorites and a comfort read for me. The banter between the characters and the way that each of them show their love for her in different ways just makes my heart happy.

At this point there isn't anything that Celeste writes that I won't read. She is hands down one of my favorite authors.

If you like a dark contemporary romance then this omnibus is just for you. We have Rayne that has a darker past and men that she knows she should stay away from but her heart and body have other ideas. With a mafia style theme this series will keep you reading. Loved it.
