Return to the world of Lady Luck in this heart-throbbing story of finding the courage to reach for what you want with both hands, even when you're scared, even when it's just out of reach, and making that final jump.
Aspen Smith was the drummer of Lady Luck, the biggest rock band in the world.
…he also loved to bake, had always been able to lose his security detail through skill and determination, could consistently come up with peculiar definitions for everyday words and happened to be one of the sexiest men on the planet.
In trying to find a moment to escape the loudness of his life, Aspen found himself the unlikely hero of Poppy’s evening as she ran from unwanted attention and without knowing who he was, asked him to kiss her. Twice.
(He did)
Poppy and her goldfish, Natalie, had a system: they move every year and always on the same date. Constantly on the move and looking for the very thing she lost at sixteen years old. Her plans had always been set, immovable, until she found herself thrown into a universe moment - a gentle shove from something greater that leads her straight to Aspen.
He should’ve had tattoos, maybe a piercing or a deviated septum, and most definitely a more environmentally damaging car. But he didn’t. Instead he was prone to rescuing her when she needed it the most, feeding her goldfish when she couldn't get out of bed and making her feel safe enough to share the parts of herself that had never seen the light of day.
Natalie’s already decided she likes him, and Poppy is trying to save him from herself.
When Poppy asks a stranger at the bar to rescue her from a creep with a kiss, she certainly wasn’t expecting him to turn out to be Aspen Smith, the drummer of a massively famous boyband. But when neither can stop thinking about the other after their kiss and one chance encounter turns into two, a friendship forms between them. Will they be able to conquer the demons from their pasts and turn their friendship into something more, or will they be torn apart?
This book was such a beautiful read! I fell in love with both Poppy and Aspen and their stories. This was the first time in a fair while that I have cried while reading because the trauma and past events that shaped our main characters were so incredibly written. Getting to experience these characters overcoming the trauma of their past and learning to accept love and build relationships even though it could cause pain in the future was amazing and I cannot recommend it enough 💚
Aspen and Poppy's love story was perfect right from the start. From Aspen rescuing her on a night out to the greatest rockstar romance ever!
I was expecting a romance story with all the feel good moment and while it had that, I must warn you this book also broke me! It shows how people are shaped from past trauma and how that ultimately affects relationships untill ofcourse you find the right one. There are a few chapters at the end that had me sobbing but were perfectly written for understanding Penelope and Aspen.
This book will make you laugh, make you cry, give you all the warm and fuzzies and break your heart a little. It was perfect!
Another incredible story from Celine! She can honestly do not wrong!
An Achingly Sweet Rockstar Romance. Poppy and Aspen are perfection, I love them both. I knew after reading Music to my Ears that I was going to love Aspens story and All the Best Notes did not disappoint. Poppy is his perfect match with wit and banter that is hilarious, this book had me laughing out loud with a cheesy grin plastered to my face for a massive portion of it. Poppy and Aspen both have emotional backstories causing present day trauma, it was both heartbreaking and heartwarming watching them both navigate and grow to overcome past experiences. I may have teared up on more than one occasion.
The spice was steamy, Aspen will definitely “seduce the shit out of you”. I will say no more on that and let the reader experience for themselves.
Also, after instantly searching her name on Instagram after reading in the first chapter, someone needs to make an Instagram for Natalie the goldfish so she can live on and forever be immortalized. #queen.nat.the.first.
Gosh, this book. It broke me, and then it made me whole! The feels were so strong in this book. This is the second book in the Music to my Ears Duology.
We follow the story of Aspen and Poppy. We get to know them on such a deeper level and how incredible the rockstar who literally is such a melt my heart drummer who keeps Poppy safe and looks after her goldfish, Natalie, who is so needed in Poppy's life. Ahhhh, this book. Read this book. It us such a heart felt made me cry, made me laugh and then made me cry even more!
I loved the first book and this second one did not disappoint! I might even love this one a tiny bit more than the first! Aspen was a fave of mine from the first book and so I was so excited to read about his story! plus I love poppy as well!
Their banter is so cute and I was kicking my feet and giggling the whole time! The characters are so loveable and fun. It was so easy to fall into this story and not want to stop!
If you love rockstar romances with fun main characters who charm the pants off you, you will definitely love this story ❤️
Oh my goodness. If Celine writes it, I will read it.
This book was nothing short of incredible. I loved the characters and how much growth they had throughout the novel. Celine really made me on an emotional rollercoaster throughout Poppy’s and Aspen’s journey and self discovery. This book deserves so much praise!!
Holy potato factory kids! This book has everything! Celine has the most incredible way of writing stories that pierce your heart, make you laugh out loud, and become a part of the family that all the inside jokes land and have you chortling away long after you turn the final page.
We all need Queen goldfish, Choking bells, And of course, drum sticks throughout the house
A very surprising read was not what I expected, but I loved it. The instant connection between Aspen and Poppy was great. Two lost souls pulled to each other both hiding there true selfs from the people they loved. The banter between Poppy and Aspen had to be my favorite parts of the book. Also the choking bell was quite funny. Would definitely recommend.
Comedic start to a sweet story. Enjoyed the alternating POV and the glimpse of the cast of secondary characters makes me want to read their story too. Sticking to four rather than five stars as at times the author’s prose weighed the story down where there could more dialogue. The reasons for why Poppy is who she is bittersweet and touching at the end.
I thoroughly enjoyed Poppy and Aspen’s journey! This was a sweet story about two lost souls who helped each other heal. It balanced romance, sadness, and humor. This was a Goodreads giveaway. Thanks to the publisher/ author for gifting it.
