Lost: The Other Realm
When a Faery King comes for her, a 19 year old must find her magic and enter a dangerous game of lies to save the world.
Everything in her life is carefully regimented. Every morning she does her physical therapy, takes her vitamins and her meds. She has worked everyday since her accident to get her life back and after years of healing she has fully regained her ability to walk. Being a new adult is hard, but at 19, Cassie is finally looking forward to each day.
It's okay that she doesn’t remember most of her past, from the glimpses she’s had it’s not worth remembering. And of course she is careful to do everything in threes, well only the things that have to be done three times like opening and closing doors… or bottles… or faucets.
But even that can’t keep away the vision of a winged man that haunts her and threatens her carefully won sanity. He becomes so real that she finds herself stuck between a sweet real life romance and an enthralling fantasy affair with the Faery King.
Her world is turned upside down, when she discovers the Faery King is real. And he will do anything to make her his Queen. Even if it destroys both their worlds.

This Book is wonderful. Just a delight to read!
Seeming at first like a slice-of-life story about a girl with a very tragic backstory and VERY disturbing dreams. Once you have settled into that realm, You get whisked away into a very rich, well thought out and dynamic world, expertly crafted with love and care.
Real life events such as Hurricane Katrina are added in to give the story the foot in reality feel that makes it extra special.
The lore feels like the author took "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and mixed it with "Hook", peppered in some Greek, Roman, and Celtic Myth, and added just a tiny dash of Bridgerton spicy. The resulting blend just works so well. The characters dialogue feels real and the pace is timed with authority to be just at the right tempo for the action beats to not feel rushed.
I hope Zilphia finds a way to bring these characters back, because I would love to explore more of both of the rich realms she has built.

Enjoyed reading this story multiple times, I picked up new details each time.
The new adult FMC has to grapple with mental health, physical health, and magic in this coming of age romance. A hot feary king with questionable intentions makes for some steamy scenes, while the human love interest provides a sweet balance.
The FMC has to remember a past that isn't her own, and learn to be okay being different. The book left a few mysteries unsolved - like the women with the violet eyes that I look forward to finding out in the next book in the promised series.

Biased review bahahaha. I think everyone that loves fantasy and romance should add it to their TBR pile- and then actually read it.
The FMC wants nothing more than to be normal, but that is not what fate has in store for her. She has to discover a long forgotten past and then decide who she wants to be. A coming of age story with romance, faeries, and two different worlds.

Intriguing Faery Romance
Caught my curiosity early on. I was surprised and intrigued as diverse characters were introduced to the story. Can't wait for book 2.
