As long as there’s hockey, everything will be ok. It only takes one night to lose everything. My dream and my heart shatter with one slip. I was broken and it kept getting worse, but Carter saved me. He’s not known for being the good guy, but he turned into someone I can go to on my worst days. We’re just friends, but those sweet touches and lingering grazes are getting complicated. He’s the only one I trust, but how can I keep letting my friends down after everything I put them through?
Carter
It’s easier to be alone. There’s secrets and demons I have to keep hidden, and I’d rather everyone hate me than hurt someone I love. Being with Willa makes me want to be better. A good man. I can’t give her what she needs, but I can never say no to her. It wasn’t supposed to get this far. How could I ever be the man that deserves her when I’m just like my father?
More 4 1/2 🌟 This was a great hockey romance covering some very heavy topics so please check the trigger warnings. Oh Carter, at times I felt for him and his struggles and was so happy he found someone like Willa who had her own problems. Their friendship and support paved the way for a beautiful relationship. This is full of college angst, spice and of course hockey. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and the whole series sounds so good. I received a complementary copy.

Willa and Carter have amazing chemistry, but they want to stay just friends. I enjoyed reading their story, but the whole time I was yelling, just communicate with each other!! K. Kinley does a good job at sucking you into her stories and making you love her characters. I can't wait to read more!

Otherwise, get ready for the ride of your life. This story was the bomb.
Carter, just wanted to play hockey and have his mom be safe. He didn't tell many people about his home life. He just wanted to keep his head down and get signed with a pro team. Then he meets Willa and she makes him want to be a better person. Fight all his demons. She sees them all. The ending was perfect.
This is a very emotional read. Willa is a very upbeat hockey player but she lets her light get shadowed by her boyfriend Vic. All the friends tell her that. Carter is also a hockey player but very misunderstood. He has many problems regarding his family. Carter end up saving Willa in the middle of a snow storm. They get closer and closer each day. It was very nice getting to know them, their fears and how they overcame them. It is a very nice read!!
Carter is the broken playboy hockey player with a crappy father and the idea that he’ll be just like his father someday. Willa is on the women’s hockey team and dealing with a cheating boyfriend she turns a blind eye to. When she travels up a mountain to confront that boyfriend and gets stuck in a snowstorm, it’s Carter that comes to save her. Lots of angst and moments that made me sad mixed with moments that made me smile. Glad to have had the chance to read this book.
An emotional sports romance. I love that she was a player too. She has her emotional hang ups and Carter has some dark emotional issues. His father was a real tool and he, Bray and his mom dealt with too much. When it came to head I couldn't blame him. It was a good read and had me tangled up with emotions.
I enjoyed Carter and Willa's story. This book did touch on some triggering topics so check the warnings before reading. I found the book well written and engaging. This is a voluntary and honest review.
This story was a little more emotion stirring than I expected! I really grew to love Carter so much! The story just kept me turning pages as I got more deeply connected with Willa and Carter! Great story and the end wss even better than I could have predicted!!
Absolutely loved this one. It was heartfelt and tugged at my heartstrings. I adored Willa and Carter and how they brought out the best in each other. I loved every second I was reading this story and wanted nothing more than to hug them both. Absolutely loved it.
