I have to say I was surprised when I got the book only to discover the subject was two men marrying. That said, the author addressed the subject in a delicate way where a young girl discovers her uncle is to marry another man. It did not go into detail on the subject so I think for kids facing this in there life it was a good book. The illustrations were well done.
I loved the illustrations, but I was expecting the topic to be handled differently. This would have been a great opportunity in the book to explain children about same gender marriage, the little girl had to figure out by herself, without any adult to explain her clearly.
Uncles is a great book to teach children that relationships do not have to be between a man and a woman. In a loving and fun way it teaches about gay marriage. Highly recommend!
Great book to get into the topic of gay marriage how a kid can understand. Easy for them to read along with their parents. Cute illustrations to go along with it!
This book introduces the importance of accepting LGBTI people. It's a sweet story that shows, that there is nothing wrong with a man marrying another man.
