A century ago, the people of earth downloaded their minds and souls into the infinite conceptual space of internet. Their bodies remained in the real world, kept alive in stasis tanks. A few hundred people known as Janitors chose to stay in the real world.Their only job is to monitor the stasis tanks as they spend eternity in cloned bodies. But one day the internet goes dark, and the Janitors must find a way to save the world before they are out of a job.

Derwin Gerald Lester II was born in Lowell, Michigan. He enlisted in the United States Army on September 11, 2006. He spent four years, nine months and twelve days on active duty, nine of those months in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 09-10. He is currently in the Indiana Army National Guard and works as an EMT with Rural Metro Ambulance Services.
He is the Co-author of the zombie war epic The Thin Line of Life and is the author of the space opera novel Distant Travels:The Ballad of Tommy Sampson.
During his off hours he fights crime. And yes, he wears a cape.
