Part of the Shotgun Mafia series hang on this is one wild ride from book one to now book seven say you might want to make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way! We get the backstory for our two Dylan and Lara the younger them before everything went up in flames so to speak. Dylan sexy as all get out younger version of himself knew from the moment, he laid eyes on the young Lara he knew she was going to be his girl but right now she is dating someone but the one she was dating wasn’t all that. She felt the pull between them the moment they met but she was dating another so the feelings she was feeling couldn’t be thought or acted on said feelings. Lara is going to so much and her feelings are all over the place, but they are just a drop in the bucket of what she has on her plate to deal with. What no one realizes is that she is dealing with her mother running away from the life of a rancher because her dreams were more important, leaving her daughter behind to deal with the fall out or pick up the pieces without support but will she make the right decision, will he get the girl of his dreams, do they end up together in the future (read the other books to find out), will they figure out their place in a world that isn’t forgiving, and where are they headed?

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. This is somewhat of an origin story for Dylan and Lara. You do not have to have read the series to read this book but it will put some things into context. For Dylan McClintock there has always been just one girl for him. Unfortunately Lara Bain was dating someone. Dylan knew she felt the pull and vowed to do all he could to get her to see him as a potential suitor.

Lara Bain was going to through some stuff. Dealing with her feelings for Dylan was just the tip of iceberg. This book gives you the thought process of a young girl dealing with adult problems the only way she knows how. She runs from them just like she saw her mother do. Her mother was never one for the life as a rancher's wife. She had dreams and those dreams could only be fulfilled in Paris. Lara has to figure out how to navigate loss without a support system. I really felt for both Lara and Dylan. This is a coming of age book for them both. Will their paths converge or will they go their separate ways? If you have read the previous books in the series, you know the answer. If you haven't enjoy the story of two young adults trying to find a place in this world.

Reckless Cowboy is intensely emotional. This novel takes us though Lara and Dylan’s history—revealing drama, pain, anger, hurt, and so much more. Lara has never been my favorite character, and while we gain deeper insight into where she comes from, it’s clear that she has always been as she is and her circumstances and experiences just amplified those behaviors and patterns. Dylan is her complete opposite in so many ways, and even though he experiences just as much trauma in his own childhood and adult life, he deals with it in much healthier ways. His never-ending well of love and compassion for those he cares about is beautifully crafted and shines through in his actions, and his old school manners are simply swoon-worthy. The chemistry between them is palpable, and their push-pull is dynamic. Author Sky Coppola has written another masterful novel that sucks you deeper into the world of these characters and keeps you engaged from beginning to end. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

A real tear jerker as the Baine's family crumbles after the loss Amanda. She was a fun loving child, wise beyond her years, and so very head strong. Lara blamed herself for her sister's death as well as her mother. The father treated it as the accident it truly was for it was Amanda being Amanda as always. The book was predictable as we already knew what was going to happen from the last two books in the series, leaving this reader to believe maybe this book should have been before them. Lara and Dylan's story would have made much more sense from the beginning instead of jumping in the middle. It was nice getting to meet Mary Caldwell and getting a little insight to her character that was such a big part in forming so many of the other characters. Keep the tissues handy an extremely emotional read.

This is a Cowboy Romance, and this is the 7th book in the Shotgun Mafia series. I have read the first six books in this series before picking up this book. I do feel you will need to have read the other books in this series to really understand some things in this book. This book is Dylan and Lara's backstory. This whole book is you will get to know the younger Dylan and Lara. There are some really sad parts of this book that may upset a reader, so check out the trigger warnings before picking up this book. I really love this book, and I feel I understand Lara's character more now. I really was pulled into the story, and I loved it. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

Reckless Cowboy by Sky Coppola is a good, and enjoyable dark spicy gothic cowboy romantic suspense read. You should read the other stories in the series to really understand this story. The story has a great entertaining world building story line with some great twists suspense. The characters are great, and they have great chemistry. This story is a very entertaining spicy action packed page tuning cowboy romance read that is both heartbreaking and heartwarming. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Dylan and Lara. Their saga continues and as we know Childhood sweethearts. Hes a cowboy who wants to open a resturant. Shes a fashion designer. Hes mafia and has asked him to leave her alone and when she turns to him for help he vows not to leave her again. The harder she pushes him away the harder he pushs back because he will never leave her again. Great story of how shes coping with the fallout at the ranch with her dad and her mother running away and leaving her because a ranch life wasnt for her and how Dylan steps in and saves her. Loved it Great read.

This book gives readers a better look at Lara and Dylan’s history. Their story definitely is rather emotional and bumpy, just like any other long term relationship. Each has to confront issues that could either bring them together or force them apart. Grief and guilt i can be destructive emotions, as Lara and Dylan’s story illustrates. Though love is a powerful emotion, it can’t thrive if one isn’t willing to make sure that it does. I found this book to be captivating and insightful.

This book and the previous books in this serious have my full recommendation.

A wonderful story and we learn more and more about Dylan and Lara's relationship. Their story is not without twists and turns and they have to overcome and go through a lot. You are hooked on their story from the very first page and I could imagine how they struggled with feelings, sadness, guilt and much more. I can recommend this book to everyone to read.

I enjoyed reading Reckless Cowboy. Once I started reading this dark romance I didn't want to put it down. I wanted to keep reading it to see what was going to happen next. The characters (Dylan and Lara) are great. The storyline hooked me from the start. I recommend reading this book.

First things first, I love Dylan and Lara, I just feel the back story is late in the series. I enjoyed the book, but it's not my favorite. My heart breaks for them both with the loss of Lara's sister, Amanda, and the rest of the family falls apart. Will Dylan and Lara survive the loss? Can Lara ever forgive herself? Misleading title

This is not a dark romance. There was no Romance till 75% of the book the first of it was teenybop Romance. I don't understand why authors make the title and the description saying it's a dark hot Romance when it's not. The book itself wasn't bad the writing was good but it just wasn't what it was presented to be.

This gives the backstory for Lara and Dylan. It isnpacked with emotion and has some difficult moments that could be triggering for some. With the action and suspense it also gives an interesting perspective on these characters. This was an amazing addition to the series.
