Detective Logan Cooper is back from his summer vacation, rested and happy to be back with his partner Detective Reggie Hawkins. The long, hot summer has been dull and mostly devoid of big cases, but Logan and Reggie are thrown right into a grisly murder scene, a murder scene that is eerily similar to a murder that happened seven years earlier when Logan had a shiny new detective’s badge and his life was considerably different. The first grisly scene is just the first in a string of murders, each one a macabre duplicate of an earlier murder.
The two detectives are lost which way to turn until they discover there is one person connected to all the murders—past and present—Detective Logan Cooper.
Loved this book just as much as the others! I really hope there will be more.
This book took us back in time with glimpses of other crime scenes Coop has investigated. A serial copycat killer is recreating past crimes, and Logan and Reggie go through so many dead ends before catching the killer. I had some suspicions but none of them were right, which is why I love Elliot's books so much. She keeps you guessing!
This whole series is definitely a must read for any detective or mystery loving fans. And while the books could be read as standalones or in any order and mostly make sense, I'd recommend reading them in order to get the most out of them. Now I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for more books in the series. I've become a huge fan and I'll be checking out her other books now as well.
Twists. Turns. Gruesome murders. Two detectives Logan Cooper and his partner Reggie Hawkins are on the trail of a serial killer who is reenacting cases with exact detail. Detective Cooper worked these cases in his early detective years, but why are they being reenacted? I feel this is the best of the series so far. Coop’s past with his ex wife and their loss had me in tears. And these murders were going on while the worst of Coop's life. His pull toward his partner Reggie is a struggle for him, and at the same time, there is someone stalking Reggie and how is this all connected? Read this amazing story the best of the series! I finished in one sitting, I was not going to do anything until I found out who the killer is and why. My guesses were off!
Five stars is just not enough! I love this series and this next installment "Twisted Game" does not disappoint! I did not want it to end, but yet I couldn't read it fast enough. I never figured out the who did it! I figured it out right along with Logan and Reggie and I never saw it coming!!! Elliot York is a Master at storytelling and I can't wait for what she writes next! Edge of you seat suspense and characters you want to get to know!!!! This series is so fascinating, I know I am in for a treat when one comes out!!!!
Having read all of the Logan Cooper books, I would say they are fun, light reads. The characters are likable and, eventually, they always win. However, the murder motive in this one was particularly far-fetched. Nothing close to the writing of Tana French or Henning Mankell, but an enjoyable series for sure
Reggie and Logan are sparking off each other while they solve some pretty awful murders, but I never want to stop until they solve each case! Need another one.
Twisted Game by Elliot York. (Detective Logan Cooper Series Book 4)
Detective Logan Cooper and his partner Detective Reggie Hawkins are trying to solve the current batch of murder cases which share not shared with the public details with previous murders cases from Detective Logan Cooper's past. This is another installment in the series that is enjoyable to read. My suggestion is to read these book in order, even though each book could be read as a stand-alone book. A great series. 4 stars.
