In Matthew 28, Jesus spoke words to the disciples, becoming what is now commonly known as the Great Commission. Jesus called on His disciples to go to all the nations and make disciples for Him. After all, the original 11 disciples had just been through the greatest spiritual school ever – walking with Jesus as He revealed Himself and the Father to them. The crucifixion was not to be the end of the story. Rather, it would be the foundation from which the disciples could fulfil Jesus’ words. Two millennia later, the same is true for us. Firm and strong in the Word of God and our knowledge of who God is, we can go and fulfil the Great Commission too, no matter where we are led. Even if the world around us is growing cold to the Gospel, let this book serve as a reminder to stand firm and declare the message of Jesus Christ.
