Rate this book
Adam Cennan is an ambitious early 20th century scientist bent on achieving fame. After unlocking the secret of immortality in the human genome, Cennan decides that power is more appealing than renown. Cutting himself off from the rest of the world, Cennan embarks on a series of experiments that transform him into an entirely different being. Little does he realize that with each alteration, his humanity and sanity are being destroyed. His ultimate goal becomes the creation of the perfect humanoid, the neohumanoid. Eventually, Cennan loses all perspective and does the unthinkable to both his former species and the new one which he has created.
