AVA ROSS fell for men with unusual features when she first watched Star Wars, where alien creatures have gone mainstream. She lives in New England with her husband (who is sadly not an alien, though he is still cute in his own way), her kids, and assorted pets, including a yorkie pup and three cats.
Writer on a deadline Reese has moved back to Mystic Harbor and things are...not quite going the way she thought they would. Someone seems determined to run her out of town and she needs answers if she's going to hit her deadline AND settle in the way she'd like to. So she heads out to Monsters, PI to find someone to help her.
That someone? A slightly stuffy vampire who knows Reese is his mate the moment they touch. Wolfram is a little taken aback by finding his destined mate, but he absolutely knows he will protect her from whoever is trying to hurt her.
Unfortunately, the list of suspects is a little longer than either of them would like. From the assistant who recently quit (and moved on VERY quickly to another position) to the former professor who hypes himself up by saying he's the reason Reese's writing is as good as it is (and who happens to be the person her assistant moved on to) to Reese's aunt who has always been a little sore over the relationship between Reese and her mom...let's just say there are more people than Reese is comfortable with on this list and leave it at that.
A few odd pranks, a little B&E, a creepy doll, a frame job, a vampire who would do anything to keep his special someone safe, and a lady who knows a good vampire when she meets him. *thumbs up*
Now I've enjoyed every single book in this series so far but I will confess this one is definitely my favourite. I mean a stuffy vampire and sunshine lead, what's not to like. Once again I found myself immersed in a cozy romance that had me chuckling out loud on more than one occasion, due to Ms Ross's fabulous banter between the characters. I love how I'm always kept guessing over who was behind everything and at one point thought I'd actually got it right (I didn't) but that's the fun of these books, easy to read, light-hearted where you can snuggle up on the sofa and get swept away in the magic of monsters. With only one more book to go I know I'm going to hate to say goodbye this series as they have really been a joy to read.
Moving back to her hometown for a fresh start, Reece is looking forward to completing her new novel. However, it seems that someone is determined to drive her away from the quaint little town. And when the weird incidents start to pile up, and errand seagull attack, writing on her bathroom mirror and an exploding blender, Reece realises she needs supernatural intervention. Turning to Monsters PI for help, Reece hires Wolfram, a dramatic cape and bow tie wearing vampire to protect her from her unseen enemy. But as Reece will soon discover, Wolfram is anything but a walking cliche.
I knew I was going to like Reece from the start with her sunshine personality and jokey demeanor and I was right. Even when faced with having a stalker, she's is surprisingly upbeat and cheerful. I especially loved it when she nicknamed the stoic vampire Wolfram, in charge of her case Wolfie right off the bat (pun intended). But instead of being intimidated by him, she is intrigued by him, and the banter between the two was on fire from the get go. I loved how she pointedly ignored his gentle reminders to call him Wolf, preferring to tease him and get under his skin instead. Yep I adored her.
Wolfie is just adorable, yes he is quite serious at times but he has a cute soft side reserved only for Reece which made me all mushy inside. He is the typically cliched vamp in the way he dresses, black cape, starched white shirt red bow tie but don't make the mistake of comparing him to Dracula, because he will definitely not be amused. I did like the fact he was a born vampire not made and his old fashioned way of talking was blended well with a modern outlook which was utterly dreamy and sophisticated (swoon). His fierce protective nature also had my heart going pitter patter and I have to say he is definitely my favourite 'monster' from this series so far.
So book 5 here I come and knowing it's the last one, I'll be preparing myself to say goodbye to these sweet but cuddly monsters. If you enjoy fun, cozy romance with a dash of spice, HEA's and with lots of laughs, this series is for you. Totally recommend 😁
❤️ “You're the one who's captured me, Reese. I am yours, completely and irrevocably.” ~~~ Reese is awesome! She’s kind, sweet, caring and compassionate. Even more, I loved her courage and determination to face and deal with all the challenges thrown her way. And she’s so sassy, curious and fun. This talented author is such a wonderful woman and I loved her so, so much!
Wolfram is a born vampire and one of the investigators in Monsters, PI. He’s fiercely protective, clever, powerful and so… cute! He might appear a bit stuffy at first glance, but Wolfie is anything but that. He’s incredibly charming, honorable, considerate and fun. Wolfram Xavier Vladimir Zegrath is one utterly irresistible male and I adored everything about him!
I absolutely loved everything that happened between Reese and Wolfram! After moving back home, Reese is facing a series of unfortunate events. So, she seeks the help of Monsters, PI where she meets Wolfram. And the moment the vampire investigator sees the lovely human, he knows that she’s meant to be his. But her case needs to be solved first. I absolutely loved those two together! I loved their chemistry, their easy banters and how wonderful they were with each other. Even more, I loved how patient Wolf was with Reese, giving her the time to get to know him and the freedom to choose whether to be with him or not. And when they couldn’t resist the undeniable attraction, the passionate moments they shared were so hot! Reese and Wolfram were absolutely perfect for each other and I couldn’t get enough of either of them!
In addition, the storyline was spectacular! The mystery, the suspense, the growing list of suspects and maybe a little bit of ghost haunting… everything kept me glued to the pages till the very end, excited to discover how everything will be resolved.
Overall, Top Secret Vampire is a sweet, cozy, suspenseful and passionate story and another fantastic addition to the series!
I loved this monster-human cozy mystery romance. This heartwarming story was swoony and spicy with the just right amount of feelings and intrigue. I am loving this warm cozy and happy series. It is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Wolfram is an ancient vampire who works at Monsters, PI. Reese is an author who grew up in town who has recently returned, purchased an old mansion and renovated it. A series of odd happenings, which are becoming frequently more threatening, have a convinced Reese that she is being stalked. She is unsure if it is due to a potential ghost, Jolene, or a very human evil doer. When Hannah hires Monsters, PI to help her, Wolfram is assigned to her case. He knows immediately that they are fated mates. To get their HEA and protect Reese, he will need to investigate all the suspects and help Reese get her life in order. This well written story included engaging dialogue, three dimensional characters, and an engaging storyline. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
Reese has moved back to Mystic Harbor but things keep going wrong so she heads to Monsters, PI to try to solve the mystery of who..or what is stalking her. Gorgeous Vampire Wolfram is assigned to the case. But from the first touch Wolfram knows she is so much more than a client! As things escalate they know they have to solve the mystery before they can decide what to do about their budding love. This is my favorite Monsters, PI book! It was so good with a couple of really good mysteries, lots of romance and steam, a bit of action and a ghost story thrown in the mix. I absolutely loved these characters from Wolframs formality to Reese's Sunshine heart. The bad guys were bad enough to be totally enjoyable. I wish Mystic Harbor was a real place because I would go there in a second. Ava Ross wrote an incredible world filled with incredible people. I recommend this 5-star read without hesitation!
Reese has returned to her hometown and is a writer being harassed and suffering weird attacks in her home and when she is out and about. From seagulls, creepy dolls, and an unidentified ghost, to mysterious messages showing up telling her to leave town, she is at her wits end until her Mother suggests hiring the Monster Detective Agency. She meets Wolfram, a vampire who knows immediately she is his mate. But before he can tell her, he has to find out what's happening; who is out to get his little mate? Their relationship grows quickly as they figure out who the attacker is and why they want Reese to leave town. They solve a mystery, fall in love, and have lots of steamy encounters. I enjoyed returning to this supernatural town and meeting yet another Supernatural detective. I received an ARC and my review is voluntary.
Reese, a top selling author, has come back to Mystic Harbour but someone seems to want her to leave again. With a threat, an attack by a seagull and other things happening, Reese goes to Monster PI for help. The help comes in the form of born vampire, Wolfram, with his white shirt, red bow tie and cape. He also realizes the Reese is his fated mate as soon as they meet. For that he will suffer with the nickname Wolfie. There are all types of things happening, with threats, hacking, magic and more. This is a fun read, Wolfie seems to be so serious but has a different side he only shows to Reese. There are a lot of undercurrents that make this difficult to figure out the problems. Again, this is spicy (maybe a bit more than previous books), but the story comes through. This is a quick, easy read with mystery, romance, magic, and a lot of humour.
This is another fab addition to the series and I loved Reese and Wolfram together. She needs help with things that keep seeming to go wrong. Is it a stalker? A haunting? What?? Wolfram, a vampire, takes her case but at first touch, knows she's much more than a case to him. She's his fated mate. He seemed rather stuffy, when we first meet him, but he's wonderful. She's kind, caring and determined to face what's plaguing her. Loved her sunshine for him. However, even as feelings bloom between them, they know they have to solve the mystery before they can really let that love loose. Expect to get caught up in the mystery, twists, and sweet and steamy romance when you dive into this engaging read. It's another hit for me and I can't wait for what's next by this author :D

Top Secret Vampire is the fourth book in the the Monster P.I. Series. I'm enjoying this wonderful mystery series and each book outshines the last. This is my favorite from the series so far. Reese moves back to Mystic Falls but a mysterious someone wants her to leave town. She hires Wolfram, a Vampire detective to help uncover her stalker. If you are a fan of good mysteries and HEA, I highly recommend this cozy sweet mystery with its twists and turns, and steamy fated mates monster romance. 5 stars!
What an absolute delight to read! It was a feel-good one, to say the least. I loved Wolfram, and I loved Ellie. Both were equally loveable for me. Wolfram, with his patience and caring side; then there’s Ellie with all her determination and strength. *Swoon* This couple was just it for me. The storyline was perfection; it had suspense, romance, spice, and a nice cozy feel. I loved that we get a good mustery, and they are on the case to get to the bottom of it...hehehe. This has been one of my favorites thus far, and I highly recommend it!
Such twists. I didn’t guess who was causing all the mischief until they were finally caught. I love the pairing of the couple and the whole plot line. There were stories within the story. This book was definitely interesting enough to keep me reading and wondered what mystery was going to happen next. Of course one of the hints early on is that people who have gone to Monsters PI have ended up finding they were the fated mates of a monster. So you are guaranteed a HEA.
I absolutely loved the story! These two characters are just the cutest. Her playful teasing and his charming reactions were so much fun to read. It was obvious he was completely smitten with her.
There were plenty of suspects and paths to explore, which made it all the more exciting. But she managed to uncover the culprit and the reason behind it all. It's so interesting that the villain never realized she was his true mate—after all, nothing can come between a vampire and his true mate!
Monsters, Inc. takes on Reese's mystery: why is she being stalked and threatened. There are a few suspects. Wulf is assigned to the case. This is a sweet romance, yet there is mystery, danger, hacking, and a ghost all adding to the tension as you read. Plot twists that keep you guessing who and especially why. Our author has given us another great story in this series and I look forward to reading more of the teaser she gives us at the end of Reese and Wulf's tale.
Ava Ross has created a compelling little mystery around a forever after love story. Reese returns to her hometown only to have things go wrong at every turn until she meets the handsome vintage vampire who vows to protect her. With a large cast of suspects and magical intervention Ave gives us what we all want when reading. The clearly wrapped up mystery and an HEA.
Ava Ross’s Top Secret Vampire is book 4 of the Monster’s, PI, series. It features mystery writer Reese who moves back to her hometown from New York and finds herself being stalked and threatened. She hires Wolfram, aka Wolfe, to investigate. The two go Gaga for each other as they unravel the mystery of a sad ghost in her new home and the identity of her stalker, someone from her past! Great spiciness and a mystery that keeps one guessing!
Reese and Wolfram So just to start he is a born vampire and a PI and his name is Wolfram, like a Wolf... I though it was hilarious. Reese came black to town but someone doesn't want her black, She horse a PI to help her to uncover the truth. When Wolfram touches her he knows She is more than just another job, She is his fated mate and things Change. Its super cute and fun, the mystery really keeps you guessing. Great addition to the series .
But the person causing the trouble was a switch. I thought it was Tracy and then Flint. Maybe her aunt but the witch who was causing issues.... that i did not see coming. With all that chaos and turmoil, there was no violence... it needs some! My question is, if his true mate can have his child ,and he can drink her blood. Why change her into a vampire? Companionship!? It's a cute story... and Jolene got to finally rest
Top Secret Vampire by Ava Ross is the 4th story in the Monsters, PI series. This is a cozy mystery, with elements of suspense, combined with a monster fated mate romance and a very HEA. …but it’s so much more than that! There is so much going on and a few different mysteries to solve. The characters are lovely, the story is enthralling, and it is a book you will not be able to put down!
I absolutely love this series! Reese is so open to diversity and she opens her heart to a delicious vampire! The continued world building is spot on…the town and the PI firm. The plot has so many twists and turns, it really keeps you in suspense. I have to say I could not figure out the culprit. Excellent read as you would expect by such a fine author as Ava Ross!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Another fun paranormal cozy mystery set in Mystic Harbor. Reese is being stalked and goes to Monsters PI to hire an investigator. There is an additional mystery involving a ghost and a Victorian doll that they also need to solve. With several suspects and a few twists, the story kept my attention until the end.
Wow, talk about an instant connection. I guess when you know, you know. This certainly was an addictive read. The unexpected twists and turns that are revealed blow your mind. The betrayal and back stabbing lure you in. Definitely an unexpected turn of events at the end. But dang, what an amazing read with a HEA. 💜🔥
Wolfram is a vampire that works for Monsters PI and is hired by Reese because she has a stalker. Wolf realizes immediately that she's his fated mate. This was a great cozy mystery romance. I did sort of figure it out but not until the very end because the suspects were all so good. Really wonderful series!
I enjoyed book 4 in this series as the other 3. I did enjoy the banter between them which grew into breathless verbal exchanges. I appreciated they not only solved her case, but also helped her ghost find her daughter. Everyone got their HEA and they got a love eternal.
Another great read by Ava Ross. Wolf, a born vampire, works as a PI. Reese moves back home but soon begins to experience strange things. This brings them together and the sparks fly, and the mystery deepens with a list of suspects. Great characters, wonderful story!!!
Ever since Reese moved back home to Mystic Harbor strange things have been happening to her. She decides to get help from Monsters P.I.. Vampire Wolfram is put in charge of her case. Which makes him very happy because after a very long life he has finally found his fated mate. Steamy. Good mystery.
Enjoyed this as the next in a great series! I highly recommend it for those who enjoy the cozy monster romance subgenre - unless you prefer spice behind doors only
I love this series! Monsters, mysteries, magic and mates! It's got it all. I adore Reese, she is so fun and spunky, her sass is great! And, oh Wolfie! Age gap trope with a bite! Another must read from Ava!
