This book deserves to be a movie. I hope it does. The plot is well designed to keep the readers gripped till the end. Humour is definitely not scarced. Very well recommended to anybody who can read (seriously, you don't even have to be a murder mystery fan to get the thrills)

He's got cold feet but he can't back out now - he's borrowed a chunk of money from a loan shark to pay for the wedding and loan shark has warned Arthur he'll be afteer his gizzard if Arthur doesn't pay up. Arthur goes to ridiculous and hilarious lengths to ensure the wedding goes ahead.
Seymour Cresswell's story is funny and dark peppered with oneliners that made me laugh out loud several times. Having said that, the oneliners wore thin in the end and I feel the story sagged a little in the middle. Still a good read, especially if you like dark humour and murder mysteries.

I grabbed this one because of the title and description, and sometimes that gets me in trouble… but not this time!!
This is a delightful read, full of bad decisions, missteps and misdirection. While it is a mystery - of who left a corpse in the church (and why!), through a lot of accidental misfortunes, Arthur does manage to come through his ordeal somewhat okay.
This is quite an engaging read, and I enjoyed my time with these characters. The twists and turns in the storyline were fun, and I think it would lend itself nicely to a film format!!

Arthur arrives early at church for his upcoming wedding and find a dead body in the vestry.
Because he is afraid that it will spoil his wedding plans he removes the body so it is out of sight and out of mind.
The day has started bad and is getting worse when his future brother-in-law is informing Arthur that the bride, Hillary, has cancelled the wedding and left him at the altar.
If that is not enough, the local Garda is suspicious about the removal and hiding of the body and declares Arthur suspect number one.
So Arthur tries with the help of his best friend Tom and former bride Hillary to catch the real killer.

A new-to-me author and what a fun read! How many more bad decisions can one single man make? Many laugh out loud moments and many "Oh no!", "Don't do it" ones and several face palm ones as well. But an intriguing and exciting mystery in the heart of it all. Yes, certainly deserving of a 5 star rating.

Really enjoyed this book. Found very likeable characters in this light well paced murder mystery. It has a strong story line, but it’s the characters and writing style that kept me reading rather than wanting to know ‘whodunnit’. Would make a good TV series.

The author has a humorous touch which made this mystery very enjoyable. I liked his use of real venues in the geographical areas in which this book is set. A pity, though, that a couple of misspellings (a prominent politician, a landmark department store) were not caught pre-publication.

Quirky characters and a slow moving plot
I enjoyed the characters created by the author and even though the story plot was slow, it gave me more time to spend with the strange but interesting characters.

It's a really enjoyable read. It's one of the funniest books I've read in a long time with a main character you can't help but like. Highly recommended.

The most fun crime novel I've read in ages!
I really enjoyed this book. I laughed a lot and it kept me turning pages at a very fast pace. A great, fun read.

Fast paced, witty, with thoroughly engaging characters and clever plot twists, Nice Weather For A Killing is 304 pages of the best kind of escapism. Agatha Christie meets PG Wodehouse meets Bad Sisters. Cannot wait for the TV / film adaptation.

This is a great cozy whodunit! I enjoyed the twists and turns. Arthur is a just a regular guy who ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time, even though it's his wedding!
