Wow, What a story! I couldn’t put it down. I was into the story by the end of the first couple of pages. This is a suspenseful, intriguing mystery plus the love story of the century. Childhood friends, Lyra and Christian and his brother Arden grew up together. Then Christian left for the war and everything changed not in a good way. He never thought he would have the title. Then Arden died and Christian was badly wounded in the war. He had to come back and take over the duties of a Viscount. Both Lyra and Christian have had a lot of pain and sorrow in their lives. Meeting again after four years, neither expected to have feelings other than friendship. But as they learn there are many secrets around Ardens death and danger too it seems. With her sister, Charis and his cousin, Samuel helping them they need to put the past to rest before they and deal with the present. Their marriage of convenience turns out to be something much more. The characters are wonderful, His aunt, Lady Diane and her Uncle George and Aunt Mathilda add a lot to the story. Of course, there are those who don’t want the past to be stirred up along with an unhappy ex suitor too. This is a book not to be missed. I received an ARC from the author and wish to thank her. This is my honest opinion and am freely giving it.

Do You Really Know Your Brother?

I enjoyed this story. Christian and Lyra had been childhood friends but Christian went away to war. Whilst he was away, his brother Arden died. When Christian returned, he was keen to find out more about how he died. Something did not seem right. Lyra wanted to help him, as a friend. However, feelings soon grew between them. Would they discover what happened to Arden? Was there a side to Arden that his brother did not see? Will Christian and Lyra discover the truth and be able to find happiness together? Read on and enjoy.

The two main characters are reunited after the hero returns from war with scars both emotional an physical. The heroine also has some emotional baggage. They decide on a marriage of convenience, but soon some twists make it into more. This story had some resilient characters who get their HEA. I enjoyed the book as I do like scared or less than perfect characters.

Honestly, I can't find the words.

Well, far from being just a romance, there was intrigue, lies, and truths . It went from not just a beautiful romantic story but to a murder mystery that upset everything and led to truths that were hard for people to accept. Honestly, I don't think I have read anything before that. I just could not put the book down and leave it for later

Love Will Happen

The additional epilogue did nor appear. Returning wounded from the war and having to become a discount after the death of his brother was traumatic but his best friend gave him love and support.

Lust Beyond the Viscount's Scars

I almost gave you a 3 stars. The first of the story I got confused. Slowly I realized this was also a mystery plus a romance. A very dark mystery, I enjoyed it at the end.

A Tragedy/A Quest/Answers/Love..

With wounds leftover from the war returning home seems so very sad. The need to find facts for the truth
Concerning his brother the answers all seem to point to his childhood friend. And finally they both seek the truth and then love.

question

Why don’t you either put this at the end of unnecessary extended epilogue or just make the extended a last chapter.
Then you could have a true review.
