He loves me; he loves me not. He tricked me; he tricked me not... You can't deceive the devil, and you can't fool the king.
I played a game of deception against the king and lost because, in the end, I failed to realize that the king controls the pawns and I was just a pawn.
Titan King took me as his wife. He thought it would be a punishment for my betrayal and games.
Trick or Treat?
Oops, you picked a trick...
You got me, but now you're stuck with me!
But hey, you know me and all the voices in my head, we can't let the men have all the fun. Happy wife, happy life, right?
Insert evil laugh here.
Imagine the anarchy a disgruntled wife and queen can cause… that's more like it.
The king may rule, but the queen has his ear. Can you imagine the seeds I'll plant with my treacherous whispers?
I'll have Titan wrapped around my devious little fingers. I lost the war but guess what? Armageddon has begun. The question is, how much does Titan love me? Is love a good enough reason for Titan to set his world on fire?
The match has been struck, and the flames are coming for you all!

so I read the first part last night and this series is hard to pinpoint if I like it or not. I think it has a good plot but there's so much extra filler that it's hard to stay engaged on the storyline. I think part of it is because of the repetition of content and the fact that a lot of the dialogue is internal and very repetitive.

one thing I do like is that the other main characters do have povs in the book but I also think that adds to the repetitiveness of the series because when their book comes up we're going to be doing some of the same steps over again in the storyline or at least that's what I've seen between part one and part two. but I do like the multi pov.

I think The Nova & Elsa / ghost dialogue can be a bit hard to follow considering how flawed both characters are and they don't really address it. like we already know Nova has made mistakes about her physical appearance and that's what gave her away but now she is still pushing for things and then all the sudden she's trying to leave Titan's house even though they've already talked about killing his dad like why is she trying to sneak away? she could just go with Titan to do it. it just didn't make sense based on the conversation that they were having with Titan and the guys. it's also hard to follow if ghost is just Nova talking to herself or if it's like split personality type of situation because they are talking about merging back together so maybe it could be like DID. or it's just her older self talking to her younger self.

part two at least a half that I read had a lot less spelling errors so that was a plus. I didn't really like the FMC and I think that is the reason I decided to ultimately dnf in addition to the repetitiveness of the conversations. I might try to pick it up again but I tried twice and found I'm really paying much attention so I might try to reread again later.

It felt great to be sucked back into the world of the Kings, only now, Nova is married to Titan King. Still refusing to bend the knee, and still holding conversations with the other half of her: Elsa, who she calls Ghost, Nova's still causing chaos and winding Titan up a treat.

We learn more about who The Rites of Passage are, what they control, and what they may be capable of in this second book. There is also unrest among the young Kings, with Titan and the rest of the brotherhood plotting to overthrow his father and take over leadership of the empire. After a slower start, that's when the story picks up pace and turns into a racy, exciting and daring thriller!

On a more personal level, Nova and Titan's story reaches an agreeable conclusion, but you'll get no spoilers from me about that!

I absolutely loved the first book, and I'm thrilled to say that the second one lived up to the high expectations! Nova and Titan's story was beautifully wrapped up with an insanely huge bow. I never expected Titan's rite to turn out the way it did - it was a complete surprise! And I have to admit, my feelings about Titan's terrible father changed as the story unfolded.

Now, here comes the hard part - waiting for more books! I'm dying to read Mila and Dash's story and all the other characters' journeys. Throughout this book, you could catch glimpses of what the future books might hold, and it's got me beyond excited!

This series was my first experience with this author, and I'm already a fan! I can't wait to see what they have in store next.

This series is like a bag of assorted candies; it has many enticing options from which it is difficult to make a selection. You want a taste from each and every single one so you can compare them all and stick with a favorite.
Well, my flavor is called Damian!

Obsessed with this series and AG Harris!
Nova and Titan's saga continues and I ate up every crumb!
I listened to audiobook and I wasn't a fan of the narrators voice, so it did take me longer to get through. But it did not change how much I loved the story!
Dying to read Dash and Mila's story!

This one was hard for me to get through. The beginning was a lot of duplicate information from the first book and there was a whole lot of dialogue going on in Nova’s head that got really repetitive and annoying. Like we get it two personalities going on in their move it along with the story.

The sages continues! Nova and Titan are married and even though she lost the battle she is still aiming to destroy everyone and win the war.

This book was utterly satisfying and over the top but I loved every second of it. The story wasn't as fast paced as the first book but it was more focused on the internal struggles and battle between Nova and Ghost/Elsa. Ghost wants to try to love Titan like she did when she was younger and Nova is trying to find a new way to love him now.

The upcoming takeover from Titan’s father was the driving point in this story. Titan, along with the brotherhood, wants to overthrow the current leadership so they could take control of the empire but his father was always a step ahead of him though and that led to some interesting battle of wills between the two. Then we learn even more about the Rites of Passage, a secret society group that controls almost everything and whose resources reach very far. This books set up everything nicely to be explored in further books and for the series to continue while also giving the listener a satisfying conclusion to Nova and Titan’s story (AKA can we get Dash and Mila’s book?!?!)

The narrator again did such a great job distinguishing the different characters and gave them all depth and their own quirks.

Huge thanks to AG Harris for sharing this book’s advanced listing review copy with me in exchange for an honest review.
