Sweet Possession is the second book in the Carson-Fox Resorts series, and this one focuses on Fox and Cora. Fox rescues Cora from being sold due to her fathers debts, and he falls in love with her from the moment he sees a picture of her. He just knew she was meant to be his, and he was willing to be patient with her from the start to see if she even would feel the same about him when she was ready.

Fox is a broken man, who has done a lot of healing and is ready to love and take care of somebody. Cora needs to do dealing and needs somebody to take care of her. They are a match made in heaven basically.

Some of the pet names in regards to their relationship are a little over done, and I know with their dynamic that is normal, but it didn't always flow the smoothest with the way it was written. Other than that, the book had a beautiful flow. Fox is an amazing MMC, and him and Cora end up a beautiful pair.

I can't wait for the next book in the series!

I so very much enjoy this authors books, Fox goes to a meeting and witnesses something. he will do anything in his power to save that woman. Cora has never been shown any kindness or love in her life her father as always could her useless, and because of him she in this situation. until she meets the man who saved her. Fox has bought and saved her now Fox has a kink, and you will see what it is. Cora has to learn to trust him, but he would do anything for his baby girl. the scenes are hot, its an amazing read can they make it

I really enjoyed this book. I loved Fox, his character was great, everything i wanted. I loved that Cora actually seemed her age too, so many books with 18-year-old fmc make them seem way older when you first meet them. So I really enjoyed her coming into herself! Her growth through the book was beautiful.

The FMC Cora is such a sweet soul. She went through so much over her life. The beginning of this book broke my heart for her, she didn’t deserve it at all and I loved how over the book she came out of her shell and she was just amazing and strong.

I hate Lily with a burning passion she was just completely delusional and how dare she?!

If I haven’t said this before, you need to read E.K. Hunters books!! She is incredible and easily one of my favourite authors and I can’t wait to read more!!

3.5 Good but…

I enjoyed the first book of this series very much.
This 2nd book is about Cora and Fox.
Cora being barely 18yrs. and Fox, a 32year old man makes this an age-gap.
Fox is nothing but incredibly decent and protective of Cora, whom he practically rescued from an auction, her father initiated as he was in deep depth.

I admit that the book is written well, and that Fox is very very likable.
My problem was with Cora, and probably because I have my own 18yrs. daughter at home, some of the plot made me uncomfortable.
To begin with, Cora is very very innocent and dependent on Fox. The author went over-the-top in my opinion, with abusive gambling father, illiterate, no basic knowledge in technology etc. Unless an alien, I find it very very hard to believe an 18 year old woman, does not know how to use a computer (basic skills), and even if she doesn’t because of some reason, she can still have some basic life-skills and confidence - Cora had none.
Whilst I read a lot of Bratva and Mafia books with seemingly similar plots, there was something very imbalanced with the characters here to the point I was uncomfortable.
Yes Fox is decent and does not rush her, he is honest with her and has his own demons, but Cora’s total dependence on him made me cringe. What choice did she have, albeit Fox is amazing, if she doesn’t even try or know what is out there?
The author tried to tackle this glaring imbalance by making Fox almost a Saint (except in bed of course ;-)), but still…
I had a hard time with this book.
It’s a 3.5 for me because it could have been managed differently, without needing the “over the top” heroine’s helplessness (even if Fox gave her the moon).

I fell in love with Jesse Fox in the first book in this series. There was just something about him that made you want to love him. That feeling grew even more after reading his story. Fox knew his life would be changed after seeing her face. Cora Clarke was on the fast track to nowhere good with her father, Freddy in the driver’s seat. Cora’s father had racked some serious gambling debt and thought he could use Cora to get him out of this bind. Fox could not let that happen.

Fox is a total cinnamon roll. Sweet, sweet, sweet. Don’t get me wrong, Fox knew how to handle business. When it came to Cora, Fox only had her best interests at heart. Cora had significant self esteem issues. Her father had no problem making sure her self-worth was next to none. Fox, Savannah and Nash made it their business to build her up anytime doubts creeped in. Fox was patient with Cora. He made sure she knew how he felt about her even when she doubted his love for her. I’m not saying Fox didn’t have any skeletons in his closet. He definitely did, but he tried to make sure those skeletons never affected Cora. Somethings can’t be helped.

Cora and Fox has been a long time coming, I've been waiting for Fox's story for so long!! E.K. has a way with her male characters that just pulls you in and keeps you hooked. I loved Kai and Nash's story, but I was so looking forward to Fox's story and she didn't disappoint with Daddy Fox. I did love this book but I did find it hard to connect with Cora and I just wish this has abit more plot to the storyline but the this book has a good start that follows Cora who was put through alot so early in life but dont worry daddy Fox to the rescue 😉 The k!nk side for me took abit to get use to as I've not really been into in the past but the more you read the more you fall in love with Daddy Fox.

I've loved everything by E.K so far, but I think I'll forever be a Kai girl! I do look forward to seeing what she has in store for us in the future!

Hmmm… where to start.
Let’s start with that the book was so good I abandon all adult responsibilities and binged this book in a day. Aside from taking care of my children of course. I love how in E.K Hunters books it gets the good stuff quickly. My adhd brain will bore and check out quickly with 10 chapters of unnecessary backstory. E.K Hunter still builds the world and characters wonderfully. The gasped that I gusped throughout this book 😂. The Daddy kink and age gap is not in my normal realm that I would read but it was still an amazing book. This will be added to the list of books I recommend along with every other E.K Hunter book. I have yet to get a bad review back from anyone I have recommended her books to. I still think Nash and Savanah are my favorite couple between the two books but Fox and Cora’s start/dynamic as a couple are so different. I’m curious to know whose other people’s favorite couple between the 2 books is and why.

I thought I loved Nash but EK giiiiirrrrllll Fox stole my heart!!!!!! He is a cinnamon role with a dash of morally grey and the way that man loves Cora, ahhhhh 🥵

Cora has been through soooo much and my heart broke for her! She was so sweet and I just wanted to wrap her up in a hug, claim her as my best friend and give her everything that she deserves in this world.

This really had everything you could want in a book. I loved it sooo much! can't wait to see what else E.K has in store for us. The books just get better and better the more she writes, but I think Kai still has the top spot as my favorite MMC she has written yet.

Cora goes through a lot of trauma and negativity in her life. She really lacks confidence and is fearful of a lot of things. She was easily manipulated by the words of others as she has a lot of negative doubts about herself. I felt really bad for her whenever she doubted herself in this relationship with Fox.

Fox is a man who knows what he wants and when he first sets eyes on Cora he knows he has to protect her with everything he has. I loved his fierce determination to making sure Cora was always cared for and knew that she was worthwhile.

These two go through a lot of ups and downs, but we get to see them develop into a stronger unit over the course of all these troubles.

Fox is honestly the best. He is sweet and loving, but will turn on a dime and unalive anyone who hurts his family. Once he sees Cora he instantly decides she's family and he will do anything in his power to protect her. Cora is very timid and Fox is amazing at helping bring her out of her shell. Now if we could just get rid of everyone who is dead set on ruining their relationship then things would be great and they could live happily ever after. You know that's not the way it works though. So much drama and just purely hateful comments and actions. The fact Cora makes it through everything without completely losing herself amazes me. This book is full of emotion, but you won't find a more adorable couple than Fox and Cora.

It's a great second book. It's about Fox and a woman he rescues from being sold. Cora is tormented by her past but Fox is not about to let that get in his way. It's a younger woman with a slightly older man read that works well for this couple. There's a lot of emotion in this one and the sizzle between these two is flaming! I loved the fact Nash and Sav were in this book as well. It has a wonderful HEA with a bit of a cliffy concerning Dominique! I can't wait for that one . There's a few hurdles with meddling women but not overdone. I love E.K. Hunter and always enjoy the way the books flow! Great second book and I recommend it highly.

HOT DADDY!!!! Wow, this book was 🥵. Daddy Fox came out to play, and he did not disappoint. From the moment he bought Cora, he knew she would be his forever. His to love, cherish, take care of, and most of all, possess. My heart broke for Cora as I read what she had to endure in her childhood. Not being loved, feeling like you are not wanted, and having to second-guess everything had to be a struggle for her. I'm glad Fox was able to show her that there are people out there that will stick by your side and never let go. Fox and Cora are the "it" couple. I love how the book ended. Can't wait for book 3 😁

Loved another one by E.K. Hunter! From the moment Fox laid eyes on Cora he knew he had to rescue her. He fell quick and hard while Cora took some convincing, but not a ton. He was the first person to show her a hint of compassion and she was grateful for that.

You can’t help but Love Nash and Fox’s bromance, it definitely gives a little bit of comedic relief when it’s needed during the intense parts. Cora is so innocent and naive but boy is she eager to learn…EVERYTHING.

She has certain insecurities and she is reminded of them sometimes but Fox does everything in his power to reassure her. He is the definition of a cinnamon roll MMC.

Fox ALWAYS gives Cora a choice and lets her be in control and it’s cool to see how her confidence grows throughout the book.

Her dad is a total POS and Fox has a lady friend in his life that makes Fox and Cora’s relationship complicated and she does everything in her power to split them up. But in the end he gives Cora the life of her dreams and then some. Definitely recommend another one by EK Hunter!

I am so happy I got a chance to read this book! It is so good! I thought I love Nash but dang did Fox steal my heart. Cora is sweet and innocent, Fox is possessive and powerful. Cora dead beat dad racks up some debt from gambling and decides to pay off the debt by selling off his daughter off. Fox is in a business meeting and happens to hear about Cora, it’s love at first sight, so he decides to save her and buy her before someone else gets her. This series is truly amazing.
If you like a daddy dom and possessive guy, this is your book!

I loved this! Soo good. The relationship between Nash and Fox is perfect. And then throw in their own individual love stories.swoon. Fox is top tier. He is loving, sweet and supportive with a dash of touch her and d!e which is chef’s kiss! I felt so bad for Cora ( our FMC) but she was sweet and endearing and I was rooting for her and Fox from the start! Their traumas, UGH! But it really gave depth to the story and was beautifully written.Loved the chemistry between our MCs. Overally a really good book and I can't wait to read more from this author! #daddyfox

So you have Fox, who had a bad home life and a very traumatic event that happened when he was young.

Then you have Cora who has a crappy gambling dad and she never knew her mother.

What happens when Fox sees a picture of Cora, because her dad is selling her to pay off a debt? Insta-attraction.

I love Fox, he’s so caring yet possessive and dominant. Definitely has the touch her and die vibes.

Cora is sweet and a little naive but she learns to trust Fox and falls head over heels.

There is OW drama but not too much and no cheating at all.

Okay so I’ve never read anything by E.K Hunter before this book and that is going to change asap! I loved the writing style and this book was so intriguing!

This book was spicy! It really had it all! Including age gaps, billionaire romance, cinnamon rolls and morally grey characters, touch her and die, and best part he falls first!

Daddy Fox just had it all! And I love him so much! And in the beginning my heart broke for Cora but she because so strong and really came out of her shell!

Sweet Possession was absolutely brilliant from page one. I went in specifically looking for a strong, protective MMC with that “don’t touch her” energy, and let me tell you, it delivered. This is the second book in the Carson-Fox Resorts series. It is a Dark Billionaire Romance. E.K has done it again. I follow this author very closely and will read anything that she writes. 

This is Fox and Cora's story. Although we meet Fox in book one you don't get to really know him. By the end of this book however you will absolutely love everything about him. the story is everything you want from a dark romance. 

Cora is such a well written character that I wanted to take care of her. But I will leave it for Fox as he knows exactly what to do. 

As always I will impatiently await the next book from this author. Please check trigger warnings.

The main male character, surprises himself that he wants to love. And is amazed at how strong the desire to love and protect are.

EK Hunter writes obsessive MMC, and it's one of my favorites they just gotta get what they want, and as soon as they see who they want, nothing will stop them.

I really loved the patience and love Fox showed Cora and how he made sure she knew love and felt it. Fox experiences his own trauma, and Cora also has to help heal him, and she does she does. 'You're a shining light in the darkness Cora'

He makes anything and everything possible for her. What more could you want?

Fox will live rent free in my head! This book was amazing! Fox and Cora are perfect together. My heart broke every time Cora would talk about her past. I related to her so much. Fox knew exactly what he needed to do to stop her demons from creeping up to hurt her. This is a must read book!
