A rogue cop...

When the FBI refuses to acknowledge the disappearance of Agent Matt Stone during a covert investigation overseas, Detective Charlene Taylor has no choice but to go on the hunt. The Ukraine can be unforgiving to outsiders, but the detective has no idea just how deep the corruption runs.

A renegade PI...

There is only one person Charlene can turn to. Trusted friend and former leg-breaker, Calvin Watters, is a protector, and the only man who can go head-to-head with the danger that awaits them. Charlene must put her faith in Calvin, and hope that, together, they can find a way to uncover the truth surrounding the missing Americans.

Can Charlene and Calvin team up one more time to overcome an evil syndicate of corrupt cops, and a government conspiracy covered-up by an entire country?

REVIEW BLURBS for THE CRADLE WILL FALL

“Luke Murphy’s The Cradle Will Fall is one part thriller, one part social commentary, one part international caper and one part (and maybe the best part) exploration of a developing partnership between two damaged beings who need each other. Brutish, funny, compelling and revelatory all at once.”—Anthony Bidulka, winner of the 2023 Best Crime Novel Award for Going to Beautiful

“The Cradle Will Fall is a well-researched potpourri of mystery, danger and intrigue, and a revealing look at the seedy underbelly of today's technology--the Dark Web. Frightening yet tantalizing, The Cradle Will Fall is a fast read that sticks with you long after you turned the last page.”—Cheryl Kaye Tardif, bestselling author of Children of the Fog

“Don’t miss this entertaining read in a unique setting of a cold environment.”—Dianna T. Benson, award-winning and international bestselling author of The Hidden Son

“The Cradle Will Fall is a terrific caper story. Charlene Taylor and Calvin Watters are a dazzling pair, and the sparks that fly between them are wonderfully prickly and fun. You’ll be glad you are along for their wild and dangerous ride.”—James Thayer, bestselling author of Pursuit

Pretty disappointed in this one. Read some of his earlier books and was quite pleased, this is a complete mess. Basic details (like time zones) were wrong. Impossible events throughout the book, clearly seeing the end even if it was a ‘surprise ending’. The more you read the worse it got….

If you enjoy action-thrillers, author Luke Murphy has created the story you’ve been waiting for. He’s teamed up Detective Charlene Taylor and former standout NFL prospect, former Vegas leg breaker, P.I. Calvin Watters to locate an FBI agent who has gone missing in Ukraine. Murphy skillfully weaves the disappearance to a former case of Charlene’s. I enjoy the chemistry between Taylor and Watters. It’s a mix of professional respect and genuine friendship. They banter and push each other to be better while remaining focused on their objective. Many twists and turns will keep you reading late into the night. Murphy owes me a good night’s sleep. But it was worth it!

Amazing read as always. However it was left up in the air. I am confident Mr. Murphy will continue to finish this story. As Always I look forward to the next book. Great story. Plenty of action. The characters are great. I would highly recommend this book to everyone.
